BEWARE before purchasing Groupons to this store!!!!! I bought two gift certificates on Groupon and went to redeem them, only to find out that the price of framing had been DOUBLED as a built-in markup so really, I had to pay face value for the framing - NOT a deal at all. In fact, I ended up not redeeming the Groupon because the framing was too expensive - the staff member suggested I use the permanent "50% off special" instead. What a total bait and switch. Furthermore, the store was a mess - dirty, cluttered, with a limited choice of mats and frames. The staff was unprofessional and inexperienced, and to top the whole thing off, the frames won't be ready for a month. In short - DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on Groupons to the Frame Outlet - you will be sorely disappointed!!!!!!!

Terrible customer service, super slow (said 2 weeks, but after 2.5 months & numerous phone calls and attempts to pick the order up,the frames still arent ready), terrible quality which is now (hopefully being repaired), completely overblown prices and deceptively worded quotes. Furthermore, I ordered frames, and the owner took it upon himself to make them shadowboxes instead, which he never even mentioned to me as being an option or a possibility, and which I don't like and don't want. This is the biggest joke of a business I've ever dealt with. Spare yourself the experience.

I took my Groupon to the Frame Outlet in Lexington, KY and LOVED it. The man who owns it was very considerate (I'm sorry but I forgot his name). I thought I was only going to purchase 1 frame due to prices but ended up getting 2 pictures framed!! In addition, they were paintings that I had painted and one had writing on the back and the owner cut out the exact amount on the back so that I could read what I wrote so that I could preserve that memory. It was so nice to take that extra step so that the back was covered yet just the writing showed. The cutout on the back was just so thoughtful. I would definitely go back. (And, to comment on the other review, I was given the 30% off of my frames during the times when he had a sale so I'm not quite sure what they are talking about).

I wish I could give this place a zero or negative score. Customer service is terrible, skill not that great. And to top it off after being two months over promise date my prints were framed WRONG. I ended up paying for it just so I could get my prints back! I was suckered in by the Groupon, and now have wasted my money for the Groupon and the service that I have to pay someone else to do so I can have it done correctly. Extremely disappointed.

GARBAGE!!!! Took my item in mid november to be ready by Christmas, still wasn't ready on Christmas Eve, store is a total mess, and Groupons are a rip off, I paid a premium price despite being told I was given a 60% discount. Once the frame was finally finished, I was very disappointed in the quality, it was obviously thrown together in 30 minutes, which was the owners very words when I went to the store to pick it up. Don't waste your time or money!!!!

Agree 100% with the other 2 reviews. Don't get sucked in by the groupon. Stay far away from this place. They have the groupon available at all times because they can't keep current customers due to awful customer service and bad business practices.

This is a continuation of my previous review. I made several calls to make sure my order would be ready and couldn't get a straight answer. I called on the 16th and was told to come on the 18th and it would be ready. When I finally went on the 18th to pick up my order, it still wasn't done correctly. After 6 trips to this location and a month of waiting, I was done. I took my items, requested a refund for the incorrectly done frame, and left dissatisfied. I spoke to the owner on the phone and he still argued with me about his error even though he had it in front of him, in writing, on my order sheet. It didn't make sense how he could still do it wrong and then not be willing to admit it. He even laughed and scoffed at me as if I was the "stupid" one. I had a $400 order which included fixing a shadowbox and framing 4 pictures (without glass). I did NOT use a groupon but was given a discount for being a UK employee. My advice to anyone who wants professional framing at a reasonable price, do your research and go elsewhere. He sells hundreds of orders through Groupon because he has to. BUYER BEWARE.

I wish that I could give 0 stars for Frame Outlet. I made the mistake of purchasing a Groupon without researching the business first. They were 30 days late on my order and made zero attempt to contact me to let me know this. I took the initiative three different times to follow up on the status of my order, and each time they had an excuse on why it wasn't finished. My problem with this is that the excuse of "the mat just arrived today" can only be used once, however the framer said this multiple times which means that he lied to me more than once. In addition, the final product was not up to par. The frame had multple scratches on it, likely due to other frames leaning against it (if you take a look at their store you'll see dozens of finished products propped against each other with no protection in between) and one corner where the frame sides meet is very uneven. I regret going to this store but I hope that my experience and review will keep others from making the same mistake I and many others have made.
