I really enjoy Four Roses Bourbon sour we wanted to do the tour while we were in town. Unfortunately it was very disappointing. You have to wear headphones like you are in DC which they went in and out. So the tour part was not fun. The tasting was great! Very organized and thought out.Gift shop is very nice and offered snacks which was great!

We came here via a tour and thought we were getting a special barrel tasting. When we got there it wasn't that. We were kind of disappointed because I think it was an up charge for that. We was also at the bottling facility which. Was nice, but we thought it was going to be at the actual distillery. This isn't their fault, it's the fault of the tour which booked it.It was a gift shop where we arrived and then were taken to the tasting room. It was nice and I wasn't too impressed with the bourbon. The person doing our tasting seemed annoyed and wasn't very friendly. If you do go to four roses make sure it's the actual distillery because it's very pretty.

Four Roses distillery gets more attention than the warehouse and bottling operation, but this is where most of the magic happens. Tour the bottling operation and unique, single story warehouses Wednesday - Friday and ask for Mike or Kate to be your guideCheers!

Katie did a wonderful job on the tour. 4 person tour group so very informative and intimate tour. Got to see barrels being poured, see barrels being pulled from rick house, and bottling line active.

Great tour but be aware they do not barrel their bourbon on site but that is done at a different location. Educational and enjoyed learning history of Four Roses. Loved the bourbon flight (tasting) and the bar on location is fantastic. Great gift shop too.

This is probably the most uninspiring visitor center, but I also didn't realize it wasn't their main spot. The facility doesn't really seem worth a visit compared to ANY distillery in the area other than buying from a small selection of items. They were sold out of Glencairns which was the main reason for visiting and they were sold out.

Fair warning: They are much bigger sticklers for timeliness than any place else we visited on the Bourbon Trail. Plan to get there early... if you're scheduling visits back to back and the one before it runs slightly late or if, as in our case, your phone directs you to a road that's temporarily closed, and it makes you even two minutes late, they won't let you join the tasting a minute after it started, well before anyone tasted anything. That policy seemed annoying and unnecessary, but we had a different experience from reviewer Sergio K., in that the gentleman working their shop when we visited offered to switch us to the next tasting, gave us tips about how to spend the time in between, etc. When we got our tasting, it was great. The leader was knowledgeable, friendly, had an informative presentation ready, and was happy to answer even the most off the wall questions. Their gift shop is smaller than many but VERY well merchandised with some of the best products we saw at any stop on the trail. You can't currently get a full tour here, and it's not ideal that they don't let you join your 3:00 tasting at 3:02, but all in all we had a great time here.

Great tour. Delicious sampling of bourbon, ending with a free Four Roses glass. And our guide, Katie, was phenomenal! Very friendly and knowledgeable of the products and processing of the bourbon.

Recently went on a girls trip to travel the Bourbon Trail from Louisville to Lexington. We toured about 9 distilleries which included a lifetime of memories and laughs. One of many was the Four Roses distillery. We took a tour and had a tasting. The main campus was a Mediterranean Spanish style architecture which was interesting. The tour required headsets which was cumbersome. Our host for the tasting didn't seem as knowledgeable as some of the other distilleries, however I would not skip this experience. Bonus: You got to keep your water glass which had four roses engraved in the bottom.
