Welcome to Folktale Coffee and Bakehouse! Located on a cozy corner of a festive brick street, this inviting cafe was the perfect respite from the chilly winter gusts. As a coffee connoisseur, I'm always on the hunt for a perfect mocha. My quest mates with me, we tried the rich and creamy mocha latte, silky homemade hot chocolate, robust Cubano, and refreshing and unique Farmer iced tea. We also tried their golden speculous and salted chocolate chip cookies. Art and legend drift like an ambient candle through the atmosphere of this establishment. Brooke, the one woman army, was like an informant tavern keeper, answering all our questions, taking our orders, and crafting our drinks with careful diligence. This place is very roomy with plenty of space whether you feel like chatting across a table or reclining on a sunlit couch.I'd love to come here again when I'm in town. To the next coffee adventure!

Stumbled on this coffee house while searching for a fun spot. Loved the name and wanted to give it a try and was not disappointed. It has a cozy and enchanting atmosphere. The barista, Brooke, was sweet and patient with our many questions and gave some great recommendations. This is a great place to stop for any coffee or tea lovers.

Cute building! They sell different types of coffee and pastries. They also have homemade jams, honeys, and meats for sale. The flavored syrups to put in your coffee are made in house as well! I got a pumpkin spice latte with almond milk and it's the best one I've ever had. So flavorful and really creamy! Definitely recommend and would buy again. They also have different seating available to chat on leather couches or sit and do work at a table. The lighting is dimmer and creates a nice, calm space.

The food was great!! The service and ambience were incredible. The only thing I could critique was personally I would love to see them serve food later than 2 because I love it so much ofc!

We had the Blueberry and lavender drop scones. They are served warm and fresh. Totally amazing. We also had the Sourdough toast with lax- it consist of house made sourdough, which smells amazing, topped with smoked salmon, capers, cream cheese, lettuce and red pickled onions. My wife had the House Bagel, it is made with sausage, egg, cheese, and toped with avocados , tomato and lettuce. Amazing place with great service and a relaxed environment. Will be back, one of our top choices in the Corbin Tourism and Convention Commission Restaurant Week event.

Great selection of coffee, if you like speciality (third wave) coffee. They serve Onyx beans and will do a pour over with several different bean options. My usual coffee stop on the way up north or on the way back down south.

The service was amazing! The coffee was delicious and the food was so so good! Highly recommend and wish we lived closer!

We ordered the double espresso chocolate chip brownie, which was phenomenal- and SOMEHOW the maple-bourbon latte topped that! sooo yummy! We also LOVED the Gravy Hash! The Blueberry Fruit Infusion tea was quite flavorful as well. So glad we stopped here on the way to the Cumberland Gap, would recommend

The coffee was decent, the food wasn't bad, but it took over an hour for us to be served and they weren't that busy. If you're looking for somewhere to kill time, this is a good spot.

Spent almost 55.00 and couldn't even fix the egg right. It was okay but not good at all. Pancakes was greasy, Eggs crispy with no run in them at all and when I was upset and let the owner know, he found it demeaning and argumentative. Take criticism and improve! I will not go there ever again and DO NOT RECOMMEND. We use to get coffees and they aren't consistent. Sometimes good, sometimes not. Waste of money! Way overpriced on the food for what you get.
