This holiday pop up has continued through the years and I'd classify it as a "take it or leave it". We did make it there this year while near the area and in total were there 30-40 minutes checking out the shopping huts. In years past the huts felt more interesting, like a combination of flea market or vintage items. This year was more commercial or high end art fair. The ice skating area is tiny and crowded with families. If you're not skating there's a bit of seating around the rink. Food is available at the Village Market. This particular Saturday it was packed! They do offer lots of seating and bathrooms. If you'd prefer a sit down experience with service, The Cafe is also open. Parking can be found in a lot across the street or on the side streets. I do appreciate this market and ice rink brings people to the space to support the local restaurants.

If you want to get in the Christmas mood, head to the Fete de Noel in Paristown. Just being in the area will put you in a jolly mood . About 20 vendors with a variety of items fir sale ( honey, jewelry, jellies and jams, scarfs, wood items) all housed in little huts. Music playing, lots of festive decorations, ice skating, train rides, food and drink. Super fun atmosphere for family entertainment. Street parking and parking in the back lot. Loved being there this afternoon. Check it out.

In a pinch, a few days before Christmas, we were looking for something festive to do with my boyfriend's family who were in town visiting for the holidays. They are also big shoppers, so when presented with the challenge of finding something interesting to do for people who don't drink alcohol on a day and time when many other possible activities were out of the question...I thought to spend some time at the Fete de Noel. And I think it went over pretty well.Festive? Heck yes.Shopping? You betcha, with some steep discounts as it was December 23rd.Activities? sure....shopping and ice skating (for those inclined, but my guests weren't...and it was PACKED on the rink)Food? Indeed. In the food hall! With donuts from Jeff's to satisfy our sweet tooths...sweet teeths...sugar cravings.Drink? Sort of. I didn't realize until a bit belatedly that the bar INSIDE the food hall also had the same holiday menu as the pop-up trailer set up outside near the skating rink. So we had ordered some drinks at the trailer bar, but they were out of the egg nog and the hot chocolate. So we shifted and ordered other options that we didn't want as much. Surprise, surprise...the inside bar had ALL of the things available. Money was wasted, less-desired beverages were wasted...we could have been told to check the other bar. There seemed to be a failure of communication and no care to provide patrons with all options or information to make their visit better. We had an alright time and felt a little festive at the same time.

Fete de noel is a annual Christmas event series that takes place every year at paristown just off Broadway in Lousiville Kentucky. I was aware of this event that includes and outdoor Ice skating rink, small hits full of vendors and other Christmas activities a few years ago but did not make the trip until 2021. Me, my oldest daughter and two of her friends made the trip. The place is very lovely decorated. During 2021 they offered the traditional outdoor ice skating, and area to meet Santa, the shopping booths and a Scrooge themed escape room. The on site restaurant "the cafe" also had extended hours for guests who wanted to dine in. On our trip we did not get to Ice skate. While waiting on line they made an announcement that someone stole 30-50 pairs of ice skates earlier so they were sold out for the night. So instead we hit up the concession and I got a boozy hot chocolate with woodford reserve and got the teenage girls a normal hot chocolate. We then crowded the cute little store fronts that ranged from holiday decor to home made clothing to snacks to coffee shops. The girls all each bought a few Christmas items for gifts and I got them a few items they enjoyed such as some homemade dresses. So they really enjoyed that. The meet and greet Santa they wanted To charge just to meet the guy. Hard pass on that considering every other place in the city has this and it's free. Yes they charge you if you want to buy a photo but this place forces you to buy one basically by charging just to participate. No thanks. We did do the Scrooge escape room. You had to buy tickets online and the next available that could fit our party of 4 (only did parties of 5) was 90 min later. So we made good use of our time and browsed some more and went inside "the cafe" and got dinner. Timing worked out perfect. The escape room www very tiny and one room only. You had to figure out had to get the lights on. Rather simple puzzle and not much to view. But it was a cute and different experience. The kiddos enjoyed it. Pricing on it was like $8 a person. So not too terrible for a holiday themed experience. Overall, glad we finally checked this place out. Our experience wasn't the greatest. Pricing is high on most things and not being able to ice skate was a bummer. It was a really cool outdoor setup that had a massive projection screen playing Christmas favorites. If I'm being honest I'm not sure if I'll return anytime soon. The outdoor ice skating would be cool to try but outside of that there wasn't anything that made this a "must do" annual event for us.

I'm so glad that Fete de Noel is still going on this year! We all need this outdoor event that we can go to *In Real Life*. It is family friendly thanks to the skating ring w real ice. There were many kids skating and just being happy kids on ice. Ice skates are available to rent, or you can bring your own. There is a snack shack next the ring along with plenty of outdoor seating. Those cute little wooden huts are back! They are on Brent street. Vendors have the choice of renting them by one or multiple weekends. So the merchandise could change weekly. By the way, Stoneware also moved/expanded their shop to this area, too. It is a very impressive expansion, definitely worth a look! Parking is easy, too! There is a big public lot close by, just follow the signs. Santa also made a visit this afternoon. He, too is following social distance rules. The lil ones can sit in little chairs in front of Santa for photos.

My family and I checked out this holiday market right before Christmas this past year. We didn't plan on doing the ice skating - it seemed like it was going to be a smaller rink, so we didn't want to be crowded on the rink. We had considered having my niece take photos with Santa, but they charge $10 to take photos with Santa, so we certainly passed on that. Seemed pretty steep. Our first stop was at the concessions stand to grab a drink while we walked the market. I got the spiked Egg Nog (very good!) and others got the Kentucky Hot Cocoa and Hot Cider. We browsed the booths at the market. We didn't end up buying anything. It was mostly handmade items that we didn't have any interest in, but it was still enjoyable to browse around.

This is a great winter family fun event. I've always wanted to partake in this and finally had the opportunity. They have an ice skating rink set up right in the middle and a skate rental booth where you can rent a pair for various amounts of time. They also have multiple vendor booths set up where you can do some holiday shopping and buy trinkets, coffee, etc. The Cafe Is also adjacent to the rink. You can come in, place your name on the waitlist and grab a tasty bite to eat. This event has a bit of something for everyone. They also had a few booths set up selling warm drinks. My favorite was the bourbon hot chocolate, not too sweet, just right. Lastly, they also had a few fire pits set up that helped with the wind chill during the event. Overall, fun place to come and check out during the holiday season.

Worth braving the cold to visit Paristown's Fête de Noel. Christmas markets, skating, festive live music and bourbon-spiked cocoa! It's right next to The Cafe and Stoneware & Co (which are great places to warm up). Food: There is a hot cocoa stand and a concessions stand with snacks near the skating rink. There was a bit of a wait for the cocoa and they don't accept Apple Pay so make sure you have a credit card handy. They also had a cold cocktail. Would love another warm drink option, Glühwein, anyone?! You can also order to go at The Cafe and take it home/eat at the provided outdoor seating. Checkout Stoneware & Co for truly lovely holiday gifts. Marketplace: It was delightful to walk around the market stalls and sip cocoa. It definitely brought back some German Christkindlmarket vibes. The variety of shops was fun (curated by Fleur de Flea vintage market). We were only there for browsing so I did what I could without entering stalls - cute clothing, accessories, home and pantry goods and gifts. Even fresh wreaths! Skating: We did not ice skate, but very much enjoyed watching others. It's $13 per hour of skating ($10 with your own skates). Safety: Employees have health screenings and all visitors must wear masks. The rink is 100' by 50' and wasn't too crowded while I was there. Plenty of ability to keep your distance. I felt it was safe and I am very conservative. They did have live music - Santa manned the keyboard and sang an array of festive music. Definitely amped up the fun! Hi

I was escorting a 5 year old who had never skated before around the rink in my tennis shoes which have no slip work grade soles. I had no issue on the ice. As I was leaving the rink, the Crazy Cat Lady running the show told me I couldn't be on the rink with my shoes because it was a "liability issue". I advised that the child couldn't skate. She replied, that's what those are for, indicating a shoddy PVC device that was supposed to be used as a "ice rink walker" of sorts. My wife who was transferring the device off the rink, that the child had be using on her adventure, the proceeds to fall and injure herself. The Crazy Cat Lady then proceeds to berate my wife for having the device in her possession, AFTER she had just fallen. This absolute peach of a human then continues her rudeness with other customers who weren't leaving the rink quickly enough.I hope for their sake that they have liability insurance.Zero stars should be an option.
