Ferrell's Snappy Service

An immersive, retro experience for the modern era because you just don't find this kind of burger joint anymore. I went for the classic diner style, counter and stool seating where I could soak in the fullness of the experience as they prepared my food. I watched as they pulled the pre-portioned balls of hamburger from the refrigerator, smack it on the counter, smash it with the spatula, then slap it on the grill. The burger was classic - fresh, good tasting, hot off the grill, greasy goodness dressed to your preference. The chili cheese fries were not exactly as expected since I could see a warmer labeled "cheese sauce". Instead the freshly cooked, small batch of fries were covered in a layer of American cheese slices, then chili, then sprinkled with shredded cheddar. They tasted good, but the burger was definitely the star of the show. The staff were attentive but not super-friendly. No smiles and no chit-chat...these ladies were all business. I definitely recommend this and look forward to returning in the future.

While I'm town visiting family my daughter and I had lunch at Ferrell's food and atmosphere were awesome, and it was clean and very reasonably priced for what you get. I would have spent more money going to McDonalds for Frakenfood!

Excellent greasy burger diner. We all loved the smash burgers. There are 3 different locations and the one outside Cadiz is the best. I wouldn't say the staff were rude, probably more busy and not overly friendly, but definitely nice folks. It sounds so strange, but order the chili along with your burgers. When we are back in Mville we will definitely find our way back for more great food!

There's nothing more I love than finding the cool spots in random towns I either come across, stay in, or pass through when traveling for work. I thought this would be one of them, and I was sorely mistaken.Do yourself a favor and skip this place, even if the cheaper prices entice you. In this case, there's a reason those prices are so low.To elaborate only a second more, the burger wasn't better than McDonald's and the entire order was incorrect. Just a disaster all around.

Super friendly, super tasty! Great food for a great price. We had one of the best griddle burgers I have had in a while. Fries were crispy on the outside and cooked perfectly. Highly recommend!

Ferrell's is our favorite place to eat in town!! Welcoming little place. Awesome staff and service. You get to watch your food being prepared. The food is delicious!!

Thanking the heavens above that Ferrell's is back up and serving out the best burger and fries. This hometown staple was surely missed while out of commission. The only room for improvement is the 'snappy service' is a bit slower than customers would like. Be prepared to wait 45-60mins during lunch rush. Adding chairs to the back table top might not be a bad investment since you have many hungry anticipating customers.

While the food remains the same which I love the prices have gone through the roof. Bought three cheeseburgers cost me nearly $15.00 And if you know Ferrells you know their burgers are very small. A few years ago the place would be full to the bone with people eating or waiting for to go orders the last three times I have been there only one person was in restaurant and on each of those visits the price had risen each time from before. They are going to price themselves right out of business.

Excellent restaurant for small tasty burgers! They have been in business for 70 something years and that speaks volumes alone for a small town restaurant that isn't a chain. I recommend this restaurant for anytime, whether you are wanting breakfast, lunch or dinner. They also service breakfast food which I am trying out this weekend! The people are friendly at this restaurant and in Madisonville that is a rare occasion you find that this small town doesn't look at people they don't know and snarl. Very friendly and fast paced at this restaurant and the taste is wonderful! Definitely can get full at a very low price. I love this restaurant!
