As one most often does, I found myself in need of 20 mint julep cups the Sunday before Derby. I had come across Events LLC at a wedding show earlier in the year, and I remembered one of their staff members telling me how expansive their warehouse is and how, if you in search of something, they likely have it. So I put this to the test.I called Events earlier the week before, and the lady who answered the phone told me they likely have mint julep cups and she would check. I called back the following day, and much to my delight, they did have real mint julep cups that guests could drink out of. (Some people use mint julep cups for flowers, I now know.) I was sent an invoice. There was a slight change on the price, as the larger cups at $4 each to rent are the cups you drink out of, not the smaller $2 cups I originally chatted with them about. But still, this wasn't a big problem as I was still happy that they even had them at all.I arranged to pick them up the Friday before my event. They were waiting for me, packed up in a box. And then I brought them back the day after my event. The process of turning them in only took a few minutes.I did get to look through their showroom a bit when I visited. I have passed their building so many times on Story Avenue -- it was great to finally get to go in. Especially if you're having a wedding, they have all manner of table settings, from the over-the-top ornate to something a bit more subdued and stately. My wedding is coming up in a couple of months, and I chatted with them a bit about items I'm looking for for centerpieces. They knew what I was describing and said they are looking to buy some soon to add to their collection. The showroom also included large statement pieces and sculptures. I bet their warehouse is a treasure trove of wonders. I'm looking forward to going back and using Events again soon!

Where to begin?? I've planned a few events with Events, LLC now and they've been awesome every single time. My wedding is obviously what stands out the most. It was an outdoor wedding December 2013 (yes... I know, but it was 60F the year before!) and, of course, there was a freak ice/snow storm the night before. The crew spent the whole day slipping and injuring themselves to set up the most beautiful wedding I've ever seen. And I didn't receive any bills for their medical expenses! ;) Leading up to it, I took up hours and hours and hours of their time picking out exactly what we thought would look good (and they have a really creative team with awesome ideas I would have never thought of). I'm uploading photos because words can't even begin to describe the wonderland they created for us.I would (and I do) recommend Events to anyone planning any kind of party. They have this ginormous warehouse of the craziest (and most gorgeous) stuff for any party. I've also thrown a Halloween and a Circus-themed party with their help, both of which were a huge success. Another reviewer on here (not even from Louisville, incidentally) may have had some hiccups in communication, but I've had nothing but expert help with Events. Thanks to their hard work and creativity, our wedding is featured in Louisville Bride and Wedding Wire just to name a couple. ***** 5 STARS and yes, I would highly recommend them to anyone!

I started working with Jeff at Events LLC. several years ago and wouldn't work with anyone else! I am an event planner and use Events multiple times a year for everything from pipe and drape, centerpieces, backdrops, table and linen rentals, holiday décor, and more! Jeff listens so well and always offers great suggestions. They deliver on-time and won't leave until everything looks perfect!

We were working with another event company in the area that was taking a week to respond to emails, was trying to outsource all of our requests to other vendors, and eventually emailed with 2 weeks to go to the wedding that they were dropping our request. Panic set in. I went back to google and made a new list of event companies that I didn't call the first time around because the original company we were working with seemed great. I made a call and spoke with Jeff. He was fantastic. Within an hour I had a rough quote for the items I was looking for. By the end of week I had a full quote with all of my questions thoughtfully answered. They were incredibly easy going when we went back and forth several times about whether or not we wanted to put together the equipment ourselves or pay to have someone from the company do set up and take down. Jeff and his crew did the work for us in the end, and all of the equipment that we ordered looked beautiful. They really came through for us and saved the day. My friend's wedding would not have looked nearly as eloquent or as put together if Events LLC hadn't saved the day!

Events LLC provided rentals for my wedding. Every interaction with them was- in a word- agonizing. I'm not writing this in the heat of anger, my wedding was 5 months ago, but the utter disappointment and devastation of their effect on the event is still very painful. A few examples of their service: they averaged 5 1/2 WEEKS to return an email. When they finally did reply, they would only address portions of my issues, ignoring others. They frequently forgot the details of our order. On one occasion, I arrived for a scheduled meeting and was told by one of their staff "Oh, I totally forgot about you." The worst part came when I arranged for Events LLC to breakdown and load up our wedding tables at the end of the event. I discussed the service at length with more than one of Event's staff, I double checked that there would be workers on site to handle the work (I was assured that there would be) and I paid for the work upfront. Day-of my wedding, I was again assured, by Events LLC, that "4 guys will be here to break everything down and pack it up" They were there, alright, but they did not lift a finger to help break down or load up the tables, leaving my parents to work until 3am the night of my wedding (in their dress clothes) packing up 18 one hundred pound tables. My mother even asked one of Event's workers if they could help her and he refused. Then he called her names and complained about the work loud enough for several people to hear. If that wasn't bad enough, another of Event's staff said "I don't know about you guys, but I'm not staying around to do this, I have things to do!". Imagine my horror, the day after my wedding, when I talked to my parents and heard that they had to work till 3:00am doing the work that we had paid Events LLC to do! These are only a few things that went wrong, I could go on and on. Finally, when the event was over and all of the damage had been done, I attempted to contact the business owner (several times) to get an explanation for how all of this could have happened and she refused to take my call. I feel that it is important to let others know about my experience because I wouldn't want anyone to go through the same experience that my family and I went through.

Events, LLC helped me plan my wedding which was in October of 2013. While planning my wedding I was currently in a one year, accelerated nursing program which was intense and bought up most of my free time. I can honestly say that I would not have been able to do it without Events, LLC. They were very understanding of my tight schedule and did whatever they could to save me time and were very considerate of my opinions and input. When it came to the big day the decorations surpassed my expectations and it was surreal seeing my wedding vision brought to life (which was a Halloween-esque theme but was to remain 'classy'; a difficult/vague theme to capture). I could not have been happier with Events. Almost a year-to-date after my wedding, guests are STILL commenting on how beautiful the ceremony and reception were and how much fun they had at the wedding. People also comment on how they don't know how I planned a large wedding (250 guests) during my hectic school schedule and I tell them that it was all because of Events, LLC. I gave them my vision and they truly brought it to life! The staff were all extremely kind, personable, and the sweet treats at our meetings were an added bonus :)

This review is long overdue. Definitely wouldn't recommend. It's a total rip off. I had hired them to decorate and setup/break down the bc wedding venue after having seen the long hours and stress wedding planning put on my family. So with the idea of convenience and speed in mind, I hired them. I would coordinate with the "planner", And I use that term loosely, via email and he said I get one in person consult and each additional consult would be (x) amount of dollars. I thought that was odd but I still went ahead and agreed, thinking we'd cover everything needed during that in-person time, you know, be completely thorough; including color scheme, ideas, props available, visually seeing things together, etc. but NOPE. This guy just introduced himself, showed me the color napkins available and sent me on my way. Never answered my questions and beat around the bush. While coordinating via email (or trying to anyways), the kinds of vases I wanted as center pieces, he sent me photos from a standing angle while looking down at the vase sitting in the floor. He reassured me that it was the height I'd wanted and we moved on. The day of the wedding those vases were obscenely large and not even remotely close to what I asked for. With each adjustment I'd personally calculate the amount and make sure he was tracking the same to which he confirmed. Only to find out at the end when the full bill was due, that he was in fact not tracking, not even a little. And the full amount came out to nearly double. Let's just jump to the end, because writing about all the things that went wrong would cap my word character amount (including wrong napkins and wrong shape table cloths). They REFUSED to set Up/break down any wedding tables and decor. In fact, all the decor I had ordered was incorrect. I actually told them to pack it all up and leave (the day of the wedding FYI). Thank goodness my family was there. They didn't skip a beat. My brothers made the most beautiful back drop in a matter of hours while my mom and sister wrangled up amazing table cloths. We had everything thrown together and ready and beautiful. I called and called and called, left countless voicemails and sent even more emails requesting a full or even partial refund and to explain the crappy, at best, service I received. I'd love to tell you I received a response, but it's been months and there's been only silence. It's a no from me

As an event supervisor in a large hotel downtown I have worked with Events numerous times and every time they have delivered. So when it was time to plan my wedding I didn't think twice on who to use for wedding rentals and we were not disappointed. My wife and I had a vision and Events truly brought it to life. A lot of things we used from Events were actually cheaper than the same products from the hotel where we had our wedding. We we're able to meet at there HUGE facility numerous times and discuss anything and everything having to do with our wedding. They were even willing to order brand new table cloths for us to rent for our wedding. With working in the hotel industry a lot of my friends at the wedding are also in the industry and we kept hearing that it was the most beautiful wedding and reception that they had ever seen in a hotel! Events is a must when planning your event!

There aren't many options for wedding rentals in Louisville, and unfortunately Events, LLC is one of the few. Perhaps that's why the company behaves as if it could care less about its customers and their special events - because there really aren't many alternatives. If you're planning a wedding in Louisville, my advice to you would be to steer clear of Events, LLC. It employs a rude and unresponsive staff, takes months to return calls or emails even if all that's required is a minor order change, and questions/concerns are typically treated with disdain. For example, we wished to change our rental chairs from silver to gold. To effectuate this simple change, my wife and I called more than 3 separate times, sent over 5 emails, and even met with the staff in person - but it wasn't until we complained to the business owner that anything got done. Much of that may have been thanks to an employee named 'Mark', who has no problem ignoring your calls and emails or insulting your decisions, but our experience with other employees was not much better.Thankfully, we handled much of the decoration/design of our reception ourselves, because that left relatively little for Events, LLC to screw up or give us hell to put into place. Not to pile on or beat a dead horse, but here are a couple of other examples from our experience with this company:- After initially claiming that it would be "no trouble at all" to string market lights in the manner we asked for, 2 days prior to the wedding they claimed it couldn't be done and said they would just hang them a different (and much less attractive) way. Our threat to cancel the entire order forced them to reconsider and realize that whaddya know, the lights could be hung the way we wanted. Go Figure! It was this type of laziness that pervaded the entire company. Whatever they could do to make things easy on themselves, they would - forget that you're paying them outrageous prices to rent cheap crap made of particle board or Styrofoam to help make your one and only wedding day just a tiny bit more special or unique.- Aforementioned employee 'Mark', who was initially assigned to assist us, openly declares "I don't know why brides get married in the summer in Kentucky" approximately 5 minutes after writing down that our wedding date was in June. He apparently isn't aware or just doesn't care that June is and has always been one of the most popular wedding months.- The rental chairs that took us months to procure were outsourced at an even more outrageous premium to a third party company, and then were delivered several hours late.Don't make the mistake we did in hiring this company. Do as much as you can on your own, and for the things you can't, find a different company. It is not worth the added stress and frustration to work with Events, LLC - especially when they will screw up the miniscule tasks they're hired for anyway.

Our daughter was married on August 22nd at Garden Courts. I'm so thankful I did not read the previous reviews before the wedding. I would have been sick. I can say from the first visit with Events and JEFF I knew they would be a fit promising everything we had dreamed up and more and they worked with my very limited budget!! I also LOVE LOVE LOVE David the florist very talented and helpful!! From start to finish they returned text and emails promptly!! They went over and above to set up and break down just as they said. We did not have to lift a finger... David personally delivered the flowers to our daughter and was willing to pin parents and grandparents. It was an extremely hot day, he made sure the flowers outside did not get set up to early as not to wilt. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! Even though the venue would not allow anything to be attached to the porch Jeff came up with a cleaver way to hang our market lights. SO THANKFUL FOR EVENTS LLC THEY WERE A BLESSING!The Holts
