For this visit, we indulged in two standout entrees: the Chorizo Pollo, a savory mix of chicken strips, chorizo, pineapple, and cheese sauce served with rice, beans, and tortillas, and the Pollo Kora, featuring a perfectly grilled chicken breast in a smoky Guajillo sauce with rice and veggies. Paired with four large Modelo Negras during happy hour, the bill totaled $63.54.The Verdict:Value (5/5): While not the cheapest, the hearty portions make it worth every penny.Taste (5/5): Packed with bold flavors, a perfect balance of spice and heat.Variety (5/5): An extensive menu ensures something for everyone.Uniqueness (4/5): While many classics are shared with other spots, a few unique dishes make this place stand out.Service (5/5): Exceptionally friendly and attentive staff.Atmosphere (4/5): Vibrant Mexican decor with a cozy outdoor area and a spacious bar.Bonus points for the salsa--it's a true gem. If you're craving flavorful Mexican cuisine with excellent service, this spot won't disappoint!

Terrible experience. There was an extreme lack of staff such that the meal without dessert took hours. On top of that we could barely get a word in with the waiter. Also, they have dishes labeled vegetarian that are not vegetarian. The rice is made with chicken stock.

We are in town for a soccer tournament and decided to try this place out. It did not disappoint!!From the moment we walked in we were welcomed. We were promptly seated and welcomed by our server and brought chips/salsa. Let's talk about this salsa...it was fresh tasting, perfect amount of heat- I would have bought bottles of it!! Since we had never been there, our server made several suggestions. We chose the the Texan fajitas, Costillas Plate and Texas Rice Bowl. Food came out faster than I expected for a Friday night and it was steaming hot!! All the dishes were hot from the oven and HUGE. We loved all of it. Although we were stuffed, we also ordered fried ice cream and tres leches cake...yum yum yum!! Everything about our experience was fantastic... fantastic food, people and service. The owner and servers stayed on top of everything and were so welcoming and engaging. We absolutely will come back if we are in the area again and recommend this place to everyone!

Another of Cincinnati's "go-to" for Mexican food. Normally, if you've been to one, you've been to all. Certain locations may vary in some of the décor, but for the most part, they are all quite similar. Similar in menu, service, and quality of food. If you're going for truly authentic Mexican food or you're going for a fancy meal, this wouldn't be the place. These restaurants are good for a date night, a casual dinner or lunch, and also for big groups. What you can expect is consistency and great/fast service. Our visit, this evening, was impromptu. It was a Saturday night at around 8 o'clock PM. No wait at all. Walked right in and sat down. Within 10 minutes of ordering, we had our food. The service was excellent as always. You definitely get your money's worth here. The Rancho Grande and Rancho Nuevo establishments aren't going to break the bank unless you get into the alcohol. Speaking of alcohol, you won't be let down. Full bar with just about anything you can think of. Additionally they have signature drinks and a wide variety of margaritas ready to go. Would I go back? Absolutely. I've been to many, many of these locations throughout the Cincinnati area over many years. Another note: I'm not sure what the difference is between Rancho Grande and the Rancho Nuevo establishments. In terms of ownership, I'm not sure if they're owned by the same company. What I can say though, as most people who have been to both can also attest, they are very similar.

Dropped by here late for dinner on a Saturday night. Seated immediately. The server was very polite and attentive. Chips and salsa are provided at no cost. Fast turnaround on all of our orders. Did not experience any kind of issue during our dinner. The food and margarita were delicious. Not too sure why they are 3.5 star average. Maybe new owners? Maybe a new or updated menu?

Ordered pick up which indicated that it would be done in 20 minutes at 6:30. I arrived there at 6:50 to be told it was not ready. 40 minutes later I got my food because they hadn't actually put in the order. They failed to inform me of this and instead left me to wait without explanation or apology. Margarita was all ice and watered down. I'm pretty frustrated I wasted $40 for bad service and a mediocre meal. If I'm going to spend that much, I'll just go to El Jinete. I wish they could have at least apologized.

The food is very good. However, the service just ruins it. My male server just acted like I was a bother the whole time and wasn't the least bit nice. He just wanted to get me in and out. When I paid, I gave a 15 percent tip followed up with dirty looks from the cashier. I would return if the service improves, but not until then.
