El Acapulco

Margarita (20 oz.) was huge and pretty good. I ordered the la favorita plate because it didn't look like a typical Mexican dish and it had a lot of veggies. It was quite tasty but I'm not sure that I would consider it a Mexican dish. Having said that, there was a hair in my dish that I discovered several bites into the meal. Also, the hair was short and curly! When brought to their attention, they offered to make me another plate which I accepted but didn't adjust the bill. The service was on point and the ambiance is definitely casual. I ate lunch at 1:00 p.m. on a Sunday afternoon during football season and it was not at all busy.Had I not discovered the hair, I would give it a solid 4.3/5 rating but clearly it needs to be adjusted.

Service was very fast, and the staff were friendly. The food was good, and the establishment felt clean.

Disappointing from the moment we entered. I'm not sure what the other reviews were talking about with regards to the food and service, but it was all terrible. The poor server was brand new on her third day of work and trying to finish out a party of 30 while taking us on as well. I thought she was alone at first but another party was seated and another server appeared out of nowhere. It was happy hour so we ordered margaritas without salt. They arrived with salt and we're so watered down they tasted terrible. We sent those back.Our food came out one entree at a time with my sons fish tacos coming out on a plate covered in foil with gosh in a tortilla and nothing else. We asked for the toppings twice, once getting a dish of chopped jalapeños (the only thing we said no to) and as I sit here we are still waiting on toppings for the tacos. I'm have given my son my meal to finish as he has to eat every few hours. The party of 30 took a lot of staffs time as they paid one at a time. I'm waiting for a manager or someone to come by and actually pay attention in our direction. So after speaking with the owner, it turns out the server was NOT new, she just quit and came back a lot. Not to mention, she quit in the middle of our meal and no one took over until we asked where she was 20 minutes later.This place is a mess. The owner asked me not to review the place in place of a free meal, but we didn't want the free meal (he did it anyway). I wouldn't go back for all the enchiladas in Mexico.

Staff here was exceptional and we think we really could have emjoyed this place had we spoke to them about our taste on food. However, the Mexican food everywhere around here serves very unauthentic Mexican food. This place is no different in that they serve the food the way their patrons enjoy it which I can totally appreciate. That being said if you would like authentic Mexican food they can apparently do this upon request and I would totally come back and try out their "secret" menu next time around and update my review at that point in time to reflect.

Oh my gosh... This place is outstanding!!! From great service to AMAZING food. We stopped in while passing thru town for a quick visit. I only wish there was a location by us! I want to try everything on the menu. I ordered a fajita sampler with chicken, steak & shrimp. Served with a hearty portion of toppings (they aren't skimping on guac & sour cream either, like other places). Everything was cooked to perfection. My mom ordered a shrimp dish with veggies and rice. We both agreed, some of the best food we've had out in a long time!Our server, Britney, was so sweet, nice and accommodating. And went above and beyond. Do yourself a favor. Go check them out!!!! Tell your friends. You won't be disappointed.

The food was delicious and it was the fastest service we've ever had. The strawberry daiquiri was perfect. Sitting outside was nice too. Highly recommend.

We're just in town for the weekend and love Mexican food, so we found ourselves at El Acapulco. Brittany, our waitress, was so sweet and attentive. The food was great! Would recommend.
