Drake's - Danville

DOES NOT DESERVE THE BAD REVIEWS!I love this places food! I've been here countless times and never have I had bad service. Their food is awesome. Perfectly giant burgers and delicious sushi rolls. It's a fun place to go with friends with a great atmosphere. There was a cool car in the parking lot too. Lol.

Probably the worst service ever, sadly. We came here to try it after the hustle of everybody in town flooding to try it, maybe two months after it opened. We were seated rather quickly and sat at one of those high booths, which were quite uncomfortable, no padding. It took them 20 minutes to take our drink order and about 45 mins to receive our food. I didn't think it was that slow, even with most of the tables open. Fast forward a few months and a friend of ours invited us to go with them to catch up and it was the same incident. Slow service, the beer taps were closed for "cleaning" -- You clean then when you close, not during the middle of a lunch rush, I used to work at places like this, I'm sure that other waiters and bartenders will agree, you clean them when you're closed. Anyway, the food finally came, almost an hour later, my burger sliders were honestly lukewarm, which I was honestly hesitant to eat them. Out of all they need a kick in the rear to get their gears in order. Nobody should have to wait an hour for food.

We started with some Pretzels and cheese sauces, soft, warm pretzels with Drake's cheese sauce and horseradish mustard. We also had the Sriracha dry rub wings with blue cheese. I choose the 4.5oz Filet w/ California Roll with Drake's fries as my side for my entree. My wife got Griddled Seared Chicken with Mac\n Cheese for her side. The file was fine but cooked too long for med-rare; her chicken was a little dry but was eatable. They do have a large selection of alcohol-free cocktails. I had the minted blackberry mule, which I did enjoy the most. My wife had the Midnight Crush, a blend of Vodka, pinot noir, cranberry juice, blood orange sour, and blackberry puree. The atmosphere was good. Overall, the place has a lovely patio and pub feel. However, in other reviews and our personal experience, service coordination is lacking; everyone has an off night, but this seems to be the norm. Hopefully, service will eventually improve.

It just opened, so it is clean and new. I liked all the TVs and how they had music playing and trivia to view. I am a sushi fan and have enjoyed it at the Lexington location. I wasn't super impressed with the salmon. It wasn't enough food, but my husband was served a lot of fish. I ate some of his; it was good. Our kids had burgers they liked, but the kitchen messed up-not reading tickets-and put lettuce on one and got their sides on the wrong plates. Other than that it was an OK experience. I think it was hyped too much. It is a nice place but I won't be rushing back. Nothing bad to say, but nothing that blew me away.

The service is great, the atmosphere is inviting and fun, the food was great. I was only in for a quick lunch before a long appointment so I just grabbed the California roll. It was great, just as expected

Slow to No service, incorrect order, tiny portions, a bartender that seemed to be anywhere but behind the bar.

We've had two good experiences! My husband always gets sushi and I get a burger or the mini Juicy Lucy's as pictured. Quick service and nice patio and pub feel.

Love drakes everywhere! Today worst service, server was horrible..had BO, mgmt could care less, they are dead today at 1:30pm they may just lose business because it was bad. Food was good the people that work there are way to immature to be running an establishment. Period!!

Service freaking sucks! We've been several times now, tried giving it the benefit of the doubt, every time is equally as terrible, this last time I received my food and the waitress stated they "had an issue" with my wife's food and they had to remake it all. 30 minutes later we had to pull her away from flirting with other male patrons to go check on the food after she forgot, she rudely made some remarks as she walked away to get our food. Terrible, terrible, terrible service, each and every time. We will not be back.

'Please seat yourself' even though every table we walked by was dirty & hadn't been cleared..sat anyway on patio waited over 10 min, wasn't acknowledged, so got up & left. Shoulda read reviews first. Have been to Drakes all over the state & have never seen anything like this sh*t show.
