Dragon City

Okay so I have been here a handful of times and have usually had a decent experience. I am rating this based on my experience yesterday on Christmas Day. I understand that restaurants are busy on Christmas especially because so few of them are open. I really wanted to enjoy my Christmas dinner. It was terrible. Dragon City is one of the only Chinese restaurants in Lexington that offers sesame seed balls as an appetizer and for one of my kids, that's just about the only thing she will eat so we chose to order from this place. We placed our order at 6:35 and drove over there and got there around seven. It was very busy so what we drove around for a little while before we stopped in to make payment and then wait for our food. It is very apparent that Uber and DoorDash orders are more important than the people who are waiting for orders that they actually placed in person or on the phone. Again, I understand that it's going to be busier on Christmas. There was a very high demand. I paid for my food about 30 minutes after I ordered it and then I proceeded to wait for an additional 40 minutes before I ever received my food so I waited a good hour and a half for one entrée, one noodle dish and three appetizers. They did not listen to the requests for the the dishes that we ordered, all the appetizers were very overcooked. It was, to be honest, a waste of $40 and most of the food went into the trash. It was very disappointing and I really hate to tear a business down. I really hate to leave a negative review, but based on this experience, we will never return to Dragon city and we will just continue to go to places like happy China, which we know are really good. I felt bad like I could tell that the staff were genuinely just so busy and trying to get orders out but again the priority on pushing Uber orders and DoorDash orders ahead of people who were in the store ordering or who had ordered online or who had called in to order is appalling to me. That's showing that one type of customer is more important than the other type, I just think that that shouldn't be the case. Orders should be made in the order in which they are received whether they are for takeout or delivery or walk in whatever it is. Don't waste your money here. It's not worth it, busy or not.

Ordered lunch to go: shrimp and broccoli, large wonton soup, 2 egg rolls. Total? $15! Everything tasted great and service was impeccable. 10 minutes! Inside was impeccably clean and pick up was super easy and safe. Looking forward to trying mor things on the menu. Lexington needed a good Chinese food spot; I think it has arrived

We were looking for a Chinese Restaurant in Lexington while there so as always I depend on Yelp for help.The food was excellent! The restaurant is small, no frills, in a strip mall, and off the beaten path. We had MooGooGuPan, Orange Chicken, Fried Rice, Fried Dumplings, and Egg Rolls.Large Portions were all served in to go can containers even though we ate in the dining room. So if you are looking for frills not your place. If you are looking for Good Hot savory Chinese Food this is a wonderful place. We loved it and will return. Prices are very reasonable too!!!

Food was just okay. General Tso's barely had flavor and coating was soggy. Crab rangoons were okay but I wish were a little more crispy. Overall not the best and not the worst.

I was really impressed with Dragon City. The restaurant is located in a strip mall off of a busy street. I went into the restaurant to pick up my to-go order. The inside of the restaurant was clean and uncluttered, and they brought out my meal pretty fast. Here's a breakdown of the three dishes I ordered: Chicken Lo MeinThis dish contains onion, green onion, napa cabbage, carrots and noodles. I was blown away with how delicious the flavor was. The noodles were cooked perfectly, the vegetables were fresh, and the sauce was savory and had a slight smoky taste. I was blown away. Hot and Spicy ChickenContains green bell pepper, broccoli, onion, chicken, and dried chilis. The chicken is breaded and fried. The sauce and fresh ingredients in this dish were excellent as well. Wonton SoupThe soup contains wontons filled with pork, and green onion. The broth was too oily, and didn't have a strong flavor. The wontons were over cooked and mushy. I haven't had Chinese food that tastes anywhere near as good as theirs. I will be returning often.

Tasty food, prompt and friendly customer service . Prices are great and portion sizes are generous. We will be coming back regularly !

Doesn't look like much as you pass by, but this has quickly become my new go-to Chinese takeout place. It's conveniently located in waller center. They have tables inside too if you want to dine in. Food was great and service was on point!! I will be back soon!

My mom wasn't a fan but their food has been some of the best Chinese food I've had around here. It's small and quiet with a donut shop and an icecream shop next door which is convenient. The girls working the counting were nice, provided service when needed etc.

Best casual Chinese restaurant in town. If you want a change to your meal they always comply with other great communication and no up charge. The portions, pricing and food quality are great!

Please trust me and do not waste your time. This food was old , cold, no flavor and it seemed liked it had been reheated! Never even seen a cook cooking it. It is not cooked by order. It was all microwaved. Don't let the lady upfront fool you this food is the worst in Lexington. A Couple of years ago it was fantastic, owners may have changed. Don't eat here!
