A good place to get lunch!I came here with friends to have lunch together, and it was a good experience. It's a cozy, warm, friendly little "mom & pop" country diner.Service was good, the food was tasty (good 'ol homemade cornbread!), and being able to sit with my friends at a table by a fireplace was a good experience. If I'm passing through Louisa again, I'll remember to stop by!

Small Mom & app diner type place. Food is made to order & arrives hot. Servers are friendly & seem to know every local who walks in.Isn't outstanding or special, but def also a decent place to find a meal.

First, don't let your gps full you. I almost did. Their parking lot is a little rough but you will be fine. This was my first time at this establishment and my coworker and I were excited to eat here. We walk in and stand their waiting to be advised rather or not we seat ourselves. We stood for a good minute until someone finally told us we could seat ourselves. So we seat ourselves and individually take turns going to use the restroom. Each of us telling our drink order in case the waitress came by. My coworker went and no one came so I went. The bathroom is tiny and was SUPER hot. It was like a sauna. I get out and expect to see my drink and of course no such luck. I look around and notice about 4 more tables had been seated. The waitress proceeds to ignore us and then goes to every other table and doesnt even acknowledge our existence. We never received menus or our drinks. Or even a quick "I'll be right with you". This was easily the worst service experience I have ever had. I don't know if it was because I wasn't a local or what. But it was ridiculous. So we left and made an hour drive to our next destination and were treated greatly. This place not only lost my business, but it lost my respect and has forever made me have a bad opinion of Louisa.

There is no other place to eat for breakfast in area unless you have a granny to make you breakfast ;) and you can't manage the 2 miles to drive here. Come off the highway for this!!! Order any breakfast !! Cheap, great service, and good food. What more could you want?I had Boars Nest (very good), pancakes are huge, eggs cooked perfectly, sausage gravy was good as well.

When I arrived they were super busy. The staff worked their butts off and were super attentive and gracious. The Turkey and Stuffing special was very tasty.

Good place, big positions of soups, sandwiches are really good, always fresh. I would recommend that place, affordable prices, much better than fast food that you can find at that neighborhood. Unfortunately we were late and they didn't have bread bowl for soup, but it was good anyway. People there where helpful and friendly.

We have family in the Louisa area and we have passed the sign for this place many times. Today we stopped. We started with iced tea and coffee. Both were good. We ordered fried pickles, fried chicken livers, half portion of roast beef open faced sandwich, fried bologna sandwich, and green fried tomatoes. The pickles were very salty, so much so that we couldn't eat them. The livers were excellent as were the green fried tomatoes. The roast beef sandwich was very good. The fried bologna was good but it needed 2 slices of bologna because you could barely taste it. We also had chocolate peanut butter pie and lemon merrainge pie. The pies are not made on site but were very good. Service was great and everything was clean. Total bill - $29.38 not including tip. Four stars because the pickles were too salty.

Love this place it cozy and homey. The food is great and the employees are top notch. I love their breakfast and always taken out of town friends there. In the spring summer there is a nice porch with rocking chairs and during cold months they have a nice cozy fire going in the fireplace. It's the perfect small town restaurant.
