Double Dogs is definitely a notch above a sports bar. First the service is quick and professional. Hostess seats you promptly and server comes to your table shortly after to get your drink order. Many other restaurants could learn from the service here. The dog theme is super cute for dog lovers out there. Kids meals are served in a dog bowl, as are some other dishes. They always play great music here! Even though TV's are everywhere you can hear good tunes. Today we had a Greek salad with shrimp added and buffalo chicken finger salad. Both of us remarked how fresh and crisp the salad ingredients are. That's what takes salad up a notch, Freshness. They offer Happy Hour during the week, I snapped a photo of the board today.

My first time here. The hostess at the front door was warm and inviting. My server was on point. She was well informed and able to answer all my questions about the different menu items. I chose the grilled chicken club on a French baguette with a side salad. It was delicious. My friend ordered the Bo Burger and fries. He said it was the best burger he ever ordered. There was a good crowd but the ambiance was quiet with the muffled sounds of other people talking.

While driving back from Nashville to Kentucky with family, we stopped here for lunch since we had a dog with us. Very cute spot and some nice outdoor options with dogs including separate deck spaces and another indoor/outdoor patio with heaters and a nice fireplace feature in the middle.I got a hot chicken sandwich which had great flavor, and green beans on the side as a sort of "healthier" option, lol. I really enjoyed both, and I also enjoyed my free Diet Coke refills - she even gave me my refill in a large styrofoam cup to go! I appreciated that - great service and a fun little place with simple bar menu food.

Attentive server. Nice selection of drinks. I was worried there would only be hot dogs on the menu but I found a buffalo chicken mac & cheese dish for dinner that I am still thinking about *mouth watering* weeks later. I was also impressed with their happy hour specials. We arrived towards the end of happy hour & it was hoppin'! Definitely seemed like the place to be for happy hour!

Sigh. 1st time I went it was good. Best onion rings ever. Great burger & pizza for the kids. Went back last night for my youngest's birthday. It was a mess. Every time I asked the server something about the food, she didn't know what to tell me. Simple shhh too. That's frustrating. I used to be a server & you kind of gotta learn the menu. People are literally there to eat so you have to know about the menu to give them answers. Like who else do I ask? Go back to the kitchen & ask the cook? She knew nothing about to food or wasn't interested. She disappeared a lot too. I had a BLT that was more like a (whisper)b(whisper)l(scream)T!!! It was insane. Didn't want to complain too much as it was my kid's bday dinner & we were w others. So I sucked it up & dealt. BTW some of their food was subpar too. Hotdogs little & on the burnt side. The pizza my son got was really good, as was the bleu cheese burger, & the onion rings were delicious as always. So 2 stars for that.

Food tasted great. Our table had chipotle bbq wings, tillamook dog, bacon egg & cheese sandwiches, and sausage queso as an appetizer. All tasty and reasonably priced. Service was gracious and friendly. Comfortable sports bar atmosphere completed the ambiance- and best of all was recommended to us by a local!

We rolled into down after a 6 hour leg of our road trip, ready for a "real" meal that wouldn't involve getting dressed up, making reservations or spending $$.Double Dogs had great reviews and fit the bill for what we were looking for, so we headed over. This was a clean, friendly establishment with a more upscale sports bar vibe and a dog theme that was executed well without being over the top. The restaurant has a dog friendly patio and there were a few parties out there enjoying dinner. The pet area is a nice space and unless you were sitting adjacent to it, you'd really never know it was there.There was a nice outdoor patio out front as well, but we opted to sit inside. There were several tvs broadcasting sporting events but they were not loud or distracting. Our server was friendly and attentive and when we accidentally received the wrong drink she was apologetic, took the drink off our check and let us keep it.We were a party of 2. We ordered a Greek Salad with grilled chicken, grilled tenders with green beans and a side of fries. The food was high quality andDelicious. The grilled chicken tasted freshly prepared and juicy. The serving sizes were excellent and the fries were more than enough for the 2 of us to share. People around us had burgers & wings which looked fantastic.We ended up drinking waters, but all told our bill was $38 which I thought was shockingly reasonable given today's inflated food prices. This is a solid place for a casual dinner. I'm sure that during playoffs or football season this would be a fun place to watch games!

We had never had lunch here before and the food was fine, however these folks will nickel and dime you to death. First visit I got a Philly Cheese sandwich. I noticed no au ju, so I asked the lady if they offered au ju, sure we do, I will bring you some. She brought out a tiny little plastic container 1/4 full?? How much was I charged for that 1/8th of a jigger of au ju, 60 cents. The next time, yesterday, I got a chili dog, almost $12.00. I asked for two or three small pickle chips. My friend said, don't you know they will charge you for three pickle chips, and I said no way!! Well, I was wrong, 60 cents for three pickle chips. Please remember this is a small, tiny hot dog with a tiny bit of chili and fries, $12.00, the same dog you can get a Kroger or Walmart for almost nothing. The lady that waited on us said, yep, they make us charge .60 cents for anything and everything other than mustard and mayo, it's not fair or reasonable, but we have to charge it. Well, there is such a thing as reasonable, and now, hopefully I can save you .60 cents if you want three pickle chips. They lost a customer over three pickle chips, a grand total of .03 cents.
