Excellent Ramon! The sushi was good too, but my wife got the shrimp Ramon and I wished I had too. They are known for the all you can eat option, but we went during lunch and didn't try it out.

The place is uniquely and almost comically bad. The aesthetic of the restaurant itself is very nice. Clean, well decorated, and a good amount of room. The service was great. The waitress was very helpful and understanding when I had to break it to her that the food was objectively the worst attempt at Hibachi I have ever had.Onto the food; first off is presentation. The miso soup was served in what I can only call a plastic, deep Petri dish. The main course was served on a cafeteria style lunch tray and presenting in thin plastic containers. All of this was accompanied by plastic cutlery. If they were operating as a small hole in the wall or some sort of pop up seasonal restaurant that would be more than acceptable. However, you can't call a place a bistro and give me a lunch tray. The miso soup was a solid 2/10. It was thin, sparse, and reminded me very much of chicken broth with some seaweed added. It was far removed from any acceptable Miso. The Hibachi holds a special place in my heart; I made a yelp account to warn people about this Hibachi. I ordered the steak and chicken hibachi, which came with vegetables and fried rice as well as aforementioned soup. The fried rice was laughable, considering it wasn't even fried. This was 100% boiled minute rice. There was no flavor, not even the flavor of good rice. It was just dry, flavorless gravel. The vegetables had hardly seen heat, I'm fairly certain a handful of cold vegetables was just thrown in as an afterthought near the completion of the meat. The meat was bad. As a great lover of meat this is hard for me to say. Hibachi is by definition grilled, but this chicken and steak was absolutely made in a skillet and drowned in thin, non descriptive sauce brown in color and tasteless by nature. It is comical that going into a Japanese bistro I expected to maybe have a light lunch of takoyaki, but I strongly doubt that would ever be an option here. I did not eat my food and was given a 10% discount. I wanted to argue for mine to be removed but at the insistence of my wife we paid and boxed up the meat to feed to the cats while we're in town.

After a few years of sitting empty, Dear Osaka has moved in to the old Wakame building. The location has been given a much needed remodeling, and the menu has the staples you would expect to see at an American Japanese restaurant. I got the maki combination dinner and seaweed salad and even though the restaurant was busy on their opening day, my order was prepared quickly. The sushi was good, and while I did find it a bit odd that it was served on a bed of lettuce, the seaweed salad was tasty. Definitely give this place a try!

Delicious! Arrived about 8pm. All four of us ordered different variations of hibachi. Was perfect. Miso soup a little salty, next time I'll go w the onion soup. Gyoza was great. Looking forward to trying some sushi next time, as we will definitely be back!

Superb food, best service. As a family, we would eat here whenever we could afford to eat out. When we last went we saw a notice saying it will be closed for 2 weeks. The staff were distraught and hurt as they had not been paid and no notice had been given to them. if the local waiting staff are not treated well we will not spend our money there anymore. The staff live from paycheck to paycheck and they depend on the money to take care of their children. The rich owners can come from any city but the local citizens need to be treated with dignity and respect and paid for time lost.

Food was well priced for portion size. I ordered the teriyaki box and was stuffed and all for around 12 dollars. I received my food pretty quickly as a walk in and the employees were quick to provide help. For similar pricing to fast food I'll choose this more often than that.

Given the reviews I have previously seen, it hurts me to see a negative review of this place. The workers go above and beyond, and the food always tastes good. There has been one bad review and the complaint was that their own thoughts about their first time trying was wrong. The building is small, and even if they were a sit down and order establishment, the two minutes you have to stand and tell them what you want should not be a principle to decide your review. The other negative statement was regarding the "dirty table they had to clean themselves" when in reality you choose where you sit. Apart from someone looking to complain about a new restaurant open for less than a month at the time, this place has superb food, stellar staff, and above all a refreshing view of Japanese in the norton area. Congrats!

not impressed. i thought it was a sit down and be waited on restaurant but you walk in to the counter and order. we had to clean our own table, they were disgusting. the food is not very good. our food was cold. I was excited to try this place as it is a new asset to our community, but it was not pleasant at all.
