Darby Dan Farm

The beautiful Darby Dan Farm embodies the tradition of thoroughbred breeding since 1935. Rolling green hills with paddocks lined by white fences are a picture, so much so that the farm was used in the movie "Secretariat". Still in the hands of the family, it upholds the generational belief in the horse as a thing of value 56

If you ever get the chance, this is a beautiful place to see! Ryan gave us a great tour, took time to answer all our questions, and introduced us to Shackleford. Beautiful grounds, beautiful horses!!

This is where the original John Galbraith Farms is actually from! The actual name where they are from citywise it's called Galloway Ohio which is a suburb of Columbus Ohio ! Columbus Ohio is actually where John Galbraith is from and where his original horse farm is located as of this present day! John Galbraith got his money from the Firestone family as he married into the granddaughter of Harvey Firestone !!!! So let's not get it twisted up Lexington Kentucky as Galloway Ohio and Columbus Ohio is where the original Galloway horse breeding farms is from! !!!

Amazing place, amazing horses. It is clear that the staff truly care about and understand the horses. The tour provides a fascinating insight into the history of the farm as well as the horse racing industry as a whole. Every question was clearly and competently answered which further highlighted the passion and dedication of the Darby Dan staff.
