This is a wonderful place that my family and I visited last week. We hiked the trails we play on the playground. We had a great time to a lot of fun pictures. Overall great experience I will definitely be back.

I always appreciate Creasey during a visit to 42. The Hikes are simple and family friendly. The waterfall, gorgeous. They care for this land and its obvious. From the visitors picking up trash to staff maintaining the grounds, it is clean and safe!

Absolutely loved this park. It is tucked away off of Hwy 42 about a mile but so worth the drive. There are soccer fields, a nature center, bathrooms and wonderful hiking trails with benches for resting throughout the perserve. At the beginning of the trail where the nature center is located ( as well as a public library branch) there are short paths with waterfalls, seating areas, a frog ponds with turtles. Just a lovely area. There is a sink hole at the back of the trails we didn't make it too but will check out next time. There is supposedly a main trail around the oerimeter of the preserve with many intersecting trails that all lead to the main trail. But we still got lost, like we do on most trails. But I still Highly recommend this for hiking

This is a great park to walk around trails and enjoy nature. We love the frog pond and we like walking our dogs there. There is a playground for young kids and plenty of open space to kick around a soccer ball or play kickball.

If you are looking for a nice place to come and hike and observe nature, this is the place. There are many things here for the young and the young at heart. With over 9 miles of wooded trails that weave through open grasslands, year-round springs and waterfalls, frog pond, 2-acre woodland garden, and forested areas. Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve is a wonderful place to relax or just enjoy the picnic pavilions and native grasslands. Visit the natural history museum featuring a bird blind and a toddler's magical forest play areas. The 207-year-old historic Mahan Manor and Spring House are also available for tours. I am a little disappointed as it appears that they are trying to lean toward building a wedding and rentals business. Hoping they do to forget about the trails.

Wonderful place to enjoy some clean air and have you a peaceful picnic by the small creek. Bring your little ones to enjoy brand new playground and watch them burn all that energy. Take a hike through the many nature paths, see some wild life like a deer, turtles, and even fox or two if you are lucky.

Oldham county is known for its affluence and farmlands, and increasingly for being a suburb for wealthy Louisvillians -- not so much public lands and parks. Creasey Mahan bridges that gap. This former horse farm was turned into a nature preserve in the 1970s, and since that time, this non-profit has put a lot of effort into turning much of its pasture into forest. Of course, it takes time to build one of those. It won't make you forget Bernheim or Jefferson Memorial Forest, but the trees that are here are growing at the speed Mother Nature intended.Notably, the grounds here are not all trending towards old growth forest. A lot of the preserve's activity is focused on weddings and rentals, athletic fields and children's programs at the nature center.

Awesome natural area with one of the coolest playgrounds around! We come for the playground but have also walked on some of the natural grass trails. They have two playgrounds - one with lots of cool features and unique apparatuses and the other is more standard playground equipment. Our daughter loves both of them! It's a bit of a drive from where we live, but it's well worth it for a fun change of scenery with your kids!

It is a treasure. Children or not. The park is amazing. Supports North Oldham high-school , by letting them. Host, " RUMBLE IN THE JUNGLE", for a regional cross country multi age cross country meet. Adults wanting to hike can find a treasure of exercise distance trails. Halloween is also a fun adventure. Don't let this treasure be ignored.
