Country Pumpkins is an adorable, family-run farm that's honestly closer to the size of county fairgrounds than it is to your regular old pumpkin patch. We stopped by on a Sunday morning in early October, and we were absolutely SHOCKED at the amount of people here! This is definitely the spot for families with young kids - and even though we don't fall into the category, we still had a pretty fun visit! We brought our dog with us (because we called ahead and they are dog-friendly!) but if we would have known how crowded it would be, we certainly would have left him at home since he gets anxious around lots of people. Everyone we interacted with that worked there was friendly! They seemed well-staffed for how busy they were - and I definitely appreciated the extra parking attendants. We opted to pick pumpkins ourselves, which included a hayride. This took us through much of the farm, which was beautiful and well kept! They even had fun facts on little signs scattered along the route. The best part of the visit was the actual pumpkin picking. They provide you with garden shears, and you physically get to remove your pumpkin from the vine. We had a lot of fun roaming around in search of the best gourd available - and I can't say I've ever had a pumpkin experience quite like this one. We would have ordered some food from the snack shack, but long lines led us to opt for some kettle corn to-go from a different vendor. No problems there - I'm always happy when there's kettle corn involved. All in all, we had a pretty good time, and I would consider visiting again if my little niece and nephew were in town!

OMG if you are searching for a fun Fall activity, I cannot recommend Country Pumpkins enough! The workers there are so hospitable and make you feel as though they're genuinely glad you're there. We bought the family pass, where it's $25 for up to 5 people and includes 2 carving-size pumpkins. After showing our ticket, we were directed to the play area where they had a mini petting zoo of some cows and goats, a corn launcher, a corn pit, huge slides and a field of pumpkins to choose from. I was lucky enough to take my 3 1/2 year old nephew and by the time we left, we were WORN OUT! They sent a gator out to shuttle us and our pumpkins back to the parking area and we were glad to plop after the day's adventure. We will definitely be returning before the end of the season!

In fall fashion tradition, I found this gem while looking for a new place to celebrate fall. Also, I was looking for small white pumpkins for a crafting project for a Yelp event. I scored them here at only $1.25 each! It's located in Dry Ridge, less than an hour from Lexington. Definitely worth the drive out, even if it's just to score a pumpkin. The large Cinderella pumpkins are only $10! Those and the mini white pumpkins were my favorites. I never buy pumpkins from the chain groceries and it's always great to support local and even get them at lower prices. I don't have small children, so I sometimes find the central KY pumpkin patches to be overrated and overrun with children. This place wasn't like that. There were activities for the kids, but it wasn't so crowded that they seemed to be everywhere... like other orchards and pumpkin patches. That's the nicest way to put, the fact that I loved that this one was more of an adult pumpkin patch than others I've been to.

Like someone else said. The section of the farm really only had a slide. I paid in advance so that was disappointing. Then we paid for the hayride and corn maze so ended up being expensive. Some places included some of that. Some activities weren't even running. It wasn't the best experience. Probably won't be back.

Excellent spot!!! My wife and kids wanted to go to a different pumpkin patch that we hadn't been to before, so we chose County Pumpkins. Very happy with our choice!!! There is a ton of space around the farm and well organized! The workers are incredibly polite. Prices were very reasonable and the snack selections for the kids were great. There is something for everyone and we will definitely return.

Our family loves Country Pumpkins! It is a locally owned family, they are such kind and friendly people! Extremely welcoming! There is lots to do here, the giant slide, corn maze, pumpkin chuckin, hay rides, good food and barrel rides! They seem to add more every year!My only negatives would be the packages they offer could be adjusted to better suit families, maybe give a deal when you purchase more & there's never have enough fudge... which just means good business :) But I never get to buy my favorites because they're sold out! Also it no longer feels local to me! The word is out about this place and it's full from people afar! Which is amazing for business! So I guess my negatives really aren't negative! Great place, I highly recommend!

A nice, family run farm, great for younger children. Country Pumpkins has a mix of free and paid for activities. Their prices for the paid activities are on par with Cincinnati areas farms I have visited. The corn box, petting zoo, kids hay maze, fire pit, picnic areas, and various cutouts are all free. Prices for pumpkins and squash were great! A pumpkin about the size of a cantaloupe was only $1.50! Small- large cushaw squash were $3 each. If picking your own pumpkin is your game, they have a hay ride with u-pick option. That seemed to be a good deal. We went on the plain hay ride. Staff were all friendly. I believe it was the owner who was running the train and hayride. Unlike some other farms, he didn't make us wait for more riders before running the train. He unhooked the unused cars, and off they went. The ride wasn't a simple circle. He took the kids on a bit of an adventure. After asking where we were from, he thanked us several times for coming out. For us, this was a bit of a drive. That being said, we had a nice couple of hours on the farm.

It's officially pumpkin patch season! My family and a group of my in-laws all headed down to Country Pumpkins in Dry Ridge, KY a couple of weekends ago. We had a large group of well over 20 so we rented their facility out for a couple of hours after closing. The cost was just $5 per person and included a hay ride along with exclusive access to a bonfire, corn maze, corn box, straw maze, picnic shelter, play area, and petting zoo.As you would expect a ton of pumpkins are for sale from the tiniest all the way up to the fifteen and twenty pounders! You can also take a hay ride out their pumpkin patch and pick your own.Speaking of hay rides, our entire group was treated to a twenty-minute hay ride touring parts of the farm. We rode past the dairy barn and saw a bunch of dairy cows. We also saw some beef cows way out in the distance. The farm is fairly large at 250 acres. Our kids favorite part of the entire trip were the corn boxes. They were already filled with a variety of sand toys and even pool noodles. I even spent a handful of minutes playing in the corn and paid for it dearly the next day. I always dismissed my corn allergy as it never affected my eating habits, but I guess I should definitely avoid the dusty corn boxes in the future. We had a great time at Country Pumpkins and cannot wait for Halloween!

This is a pretty crappy excuse for a pumpkin patch. We did a pumpkin patch in Tennessee last week that was $15 for everything on site. This place is 1/10 the size of the pumpkin patch in Tennessee and costs us quite a bit more. I think what promoted me to write this review was they were charging $25 to enter a section of the farm that really just had a slide. I wouldn't come back here again.
