Last year I purchased a bottle of Old Bardstown bourbon for my dad, based on a recommendation from the woman that worked there. He really enjoyed it (he knows a thing or two about bourbon and Manhattans since he's been drinking them for a better part of 50+ years), so I decided to surprise him with another bottle of this particular bourbon, since you can't purchase it out of the state of KY.The price seemed high to me (as it did last year based on the amount you get in the bottle), but my dad does so much for me and my family, that a $35 bottle of bourbon seems nominal.I will say, I'm sure they sell this at area liquor stores, but due to not having a rental car and having such a short trip, I didn't really have time to bargain shop.

What a lovely spot in Lexington! The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful - I described to them the kind of wine I tend to like, and they recommended me something that I absolutely loved! They have a massive, diverse selection of wines and bourbons. The store itself is so cute and cozy. It's a wonderful place to sit down with some friends and thoroughly enjoy both your drink and company!

Who would have thought? A terrific(yes, small) bourbon/rye/wine store right inside the terminal of an airport, past TSA security. This is the one, and we stumbled on it yesterday when arriving in Lexington. Greeted enthusiastically we spent time perusing the options: maybe not every option you have ever heard of in this category however enough to satisfy most palates and wallets. And a couple of interesting bottles of wine to boot one of which made a nice house gift as we exited to go visit a friend. They also have a number of barrel select options, which I always appreciate since they hold the hope of someone with a competent taste for bourbon/rye making a special choice that might indeed be special (sometimes yes, and sometimes no however hope springs eternal). Service was extremely friendly and tolerant , and browsing was encouraged which is always fun when you see a distillery that may distribute only locally. Not to mention the array of chocolates they offer to match the taste of the bourbon. No, it's not a big box store however my understanding is they have been successful in this unusual location where the "traffic" of customers is limited. And maybe that says something all by itself. An unusual "find" in my travel experience to say the least. Heck, after all this IS Kentucky!!!PS check the business hours. They open later on Sunday because of local laws.

Nice place to stop in with friends and have some wine or bourbon. Food is minimal, but you can nosh on meat and cheese. We opted to join the Wine Club. It's a nice way to try a variety of wine and meet other wine enthusiasts. They have an excellent selection of wines that you don't find in the other stores. Seating is limited. Vibe is very casual and friendly.

Nice selection of wine & bourbon. A bit on the pricey side but other than that it's the best of both worlds

I was given a wine club subscription for my birthday and am very pleased. They are knowledgeable without being pretentious at their tasting events. I am enjoying being introduced to new varieties of wine each month and highly recommend this club.

This new business is so new, there isn't even signage up yet. But they're open! The owners of the WineStyles store have closed that location and opened up this new wine and bourbon bar. It's much bigger than the Winestyles store and the owners plan on holding more events there, including bourbon events. I highly recommend checking out the store and getting on the email list to be notified of upcoming events. They're still doing the monthly wine club they did at WineStyles. And they now have a new license that allows you to come in, buy any bottle of wine off the shelf to drink there with friends, with a $10 corkage fee. But since they don't have a restaurant license, you aren't allowed to take home any unconsumed wine. But I never have a problem finishing off a bottle of wine! They're located behind Jeff's Car Wash, just off Burt Rd. They're on the first floor with Antique & Modern Firearms located above them on the 2nd floor. I'm a member of the monthly wine club and we had our first pickup party last night. There's so much room! And the wines are always excellent. This store is great for both wine experts and novices. Be sure to ask the owners if you aren't sure what you're looking for. I'm looking forward to many more events here.

Stopped in at the airport location to get a couple bottles of bourbon on my way home from Lexington. The staff was very helpful and I ended up buying a couple bottles as gifts for family. I'm not a connoisseur and these places can be a bit intimidating so the help was greatly appreciated. When I got home, I googled one of the bottles and found it selling for as low as 1/3 the price. (A bottle I paid $175 for was listed as low as $59.99 online) I expected to pay airport prices but not upwards of 200-300% higher. When I sent an email to customer service for an explanation, I received one of the most condescending and insulting responses I have ever read from a customer inquiry. It would have been easy for the owner to explain his reasoning for the price without being mean. Despite the nice selection and helpful service, the prices and the unnecessarily scornful and mocking attitude of the owner would prevent me from patronizing or recommending them. I spent $250 at the shop that day and all the owner had for me was disdain. No thanks.

We stopped in while visiting Lexington on the recommendation of our Airbnb host. We walked in right before closing time, but they welcomed us in and one of the owners, Jim, helped us find a bottle of wine and a bottle of bourbon. We are not wine aficionados by any stretch, but we told him what we like and his recommendation was on point. If you're a whiskey drinker, be sure to ask about their single barrel selections. We asked for his recommendation and walked away with the Buffalo Trace selection - can't wait to try it! The shop is very nice and well-organized. Seating was comfortable and the bar was very impressively stocked with just about any whiskey you could imagine (including Pappy!). If we are back in the area we hope to stop by again.

Loved the reviews, but I am still waiting for the airport location to open. It is well past 12 noon on a Sunday and I deliberately waited to buy bourbon here before my flight. I am regretting that decision. If the posted hours are not correct, please fix them.
