Wonderful brunch spot and BEAUTIFUL grounds! Copper & Kings is a breath of fresh air, serving brandy instead of the typical whiskey like most distilleries in the area. We arrived and walked through the downstairs area before going upstairs for brunch. We were amazed at how beautiful and large it was. There is a huge outdoors area with plenty of space to hang out, cornhole boards and other lawn games. It was very cold the day we went so there wasn't much going on but i'm sure in the warmer months that place is hoppin! We proceeded upstairs to brunch where we were met with a wonderfully curated menu full of dishes that aren't your typical dishes for distilleries or breweries. I got the pastrami fried rice and one of their seasonal cocktails, both were delicious. My friend was not feeling so great and our server was so kind, he brought her a small drink he made with soda water, bitters and some other things. She said it made her feel better! This was a great stop on our Louisville whiskey tour and the food made it even better!

Fun place to experience brandy . The bar area has a pleasant atmosphere. Try a flight of their exclusive brandies. Just great for the winter weather. Just something different than the bourbon or rye tastings. Come on and see the master bartenders Whitney and Lisa... let them turn you on to their cocktails.

My husband and I started with salmon Tartare and smoked potatoes for appetizers. I don't remember what my husbands cocktail was called but I had a Gimme Gimme. Both were nice. We were seated out on the patio and it was gorgeous. It had a speakeasy type of feel...hidden. Our server convinced us to get the ice cream sandwiches for dessert. Everything was unique and tasty. And the ambiance was great.

Cooper & Kings in Louisville was top-notch. The tasting was a great experience, with each spirit offering something unique. The staff was warm and very helpful, answering questions and providing recommendations. The rooftop bar and kitchen really took it up a notch--solid food, awesome views, and just a cool atmosphere all around. Definitely worth a visit if you're in town. For dining, I highly recommend the fried chicken and potato gnocchi.

My best friend and I decided, what a better way to end 2023 than a tour to Copper and Kings on NYE. Do note you have to book online ahead of time. We arrived quite early and just browsed the merchandise and explored the restaurant upstairs. The restaurant was quite swanky. We did look at the different cocktails they had but we didn't order anything. I forget what food they had as well. We were of course in time for the tour and it was quite interesting. I believe we were one of the few locals in our group. Others were from other states. Our tour guide was quite informative and answered any questions that we had. I'm not gonna spoil everything in this review. The most interesting part of the tour was the basement with the bourbon barrels. When they are not open they will play the music really loud to shake the barrels and it does something with the bourbon. We actually got to experience it ourselves, loud music, touching the barrels and feeling them vibrate. The tasting is always at the end of the tour, we got to sample a few different bourbons and even got to try one with absinthe in it. If anyone is familiar with absinthe then IFYKYK ( If you know you know). We enjoyed the tour very much. Will we be back? Most likely. Maybe we will try the restaurant upstairs.

Best burger in town.Yes, I said it, and I mean it. I have been thinking of this burger ever since I had it. The umami burger is the most favorable juicy burger - topped with gruyere, bok chop, and aioli. Not only is the burger delicious, the view on the rooftop patio is amazing! We sat as the sun was setting and enjoyed the sunset through dinner. The drinks were also spot on AND the dessert, chocolate chess pie with matcha ice cream and ginger crisps, was the perfect way to top off the night.

We were planning on touring the distillery and hoped we'd arrive in time for a meal at the rooftop restaurant first because we heard it had a great view and second, we hadn't eaten yet. We had about 30 minutes and the hostess said they could accommodate us. We figured sitting at the bar would be faster and the a.c. was nice because it was in the 90's outside. There was a cool patio outside and they did have large fans.It was Sunday so they were serving brunch. My husband and I decided to share a BLT. I also ordered an Aperol Spritz and my husband ordered a drink with Absynthe. Best Aperol spritz ever! Not sure what our bartender, Kay, did but it was the bomb! Pretty sure my husband liked his cocktail too. Then the BLT came out, and wow! It was incredible too! The bread, the bacon, the tomatoes (green ones,) and even the condiments were excellent. We were happy with our choices all around, and we were able to make our 3:00 distillery reservation with minutes to spare. I highly recommend this little rooftop bar whether or not you plan on doing a distillery tour. They also had a few cool musical events scheduled. If I was a local this would be one of my regular spots; can't beat the food or the service!

We visited here last Saturday for a night out for my friend's bachelorette trip. We managed to find parking pretty easily, which was nice considering the relative proximity to downtown. It took some wandering to actually find our way into the restaurant, and what limited signage there was wasn't super helpful - eventually, an elevator brought us up to where we needed to be.Our reservation was honored though I'm not sure how needed it was; they weren't super busy. It took a minute for our table to be ready but we did get a nice view of the city. One huge drawback was that the rooftop area smelled like sewage. I don't imagine that was the restaurant's fault, but at the same time, it was pretty unpleasant. Also, our table was in a spot on the roof that didn't seem to get any heating. On the one hand, sitting outside always runs the risk of getting chilly, but on the other hand, there were heat lamps directed at other tables but ours sadly wasn't in the line of "fire," as it was lol. By the time the sun went down we were pretty cold.Service was decent - definitely pleasant and helpful - but there were several hiccups. The food was a little slow to come out and the bride's side order of potatoes was forgotten until we reminded them and then they were not brought out till we were almost done eating. Also, one of the girls who ordered a mocktail drank it only to realize that it definitely was not alcohol free. Luckily she wasn't the DD or trying super hard to stay sober, but that was quite a surprise! They did generously offer to split our checks, but we wound up just paying for one cause we wanted to get out of the cold. The food menu is kind of tiny and kind of pricy but the dishes do seem as though someone put a lot of careful thought into them. Just make sure they're serving something you'd like before you go cause I can see someone coming here and not being able to find something to their liking due to the somewhat limited menu. The cocktail menu is extensive and creative and a lot of the drinks have fun and clever names. I'm not a big alcohol drinker so I kept it to water, but I heard mostly positive stuff about the drinks from those who did partake. I split a pimento cheese and chips appetizer with one of the other bridesmaids to start and it was definitely the low point food-wise. The chips were a little soggy/chewy, most were portioned directly on top of the pimento cheese (which worsened the sogginess), and the pimento cheese itself was super runny instead of chunky, oddly on the sweeter side, and just didn't taste much like pimento cheese. It reminded me of a slightly cheesy mayo-ketchup sauce like you'd dip fries in. They did let us get some extra chips to go with it so that was nice.My entree was much better -- the umami burger was insanely juicy (so much so it get all over my hands!) and indeed very savory. I really did enjoy it. The bun held up pretty well too, which was surprising given how juicy the burger was. The potatoes served with it were also good, kind of gourmet-feeling, though honestly I'd probably have been just as happy with some fries, haha. Didn't hear too much from others about the food, although the MOH said she really liked the kale salad she got, so that's good!Honestly, I'd probably rate my experience a 3.5 but sadly half-stars aren't an option. If I'm ever in the area again I'd be willing to give this place another try.

Absolutely delicious burger! They have a small menu & I feel confident in saying it's because they know what they do well & continue to do it well!I tried a gin drink this time, I'm blanking on the name but it had pineapple and was also really good. I'm not the biggest fan of gin but this drink managed to impress me! Will be back!
