We had fun at this park. It's a small park but it does the job. It's fun to visit and take photos with. It has a lot of great statues and things to look at. Definitely go check it out.

The square claims to be of great historical significance, though even living an hour a way it wasn't really on my radar. It has a variety of interesting reconstructed historical buildings surrounded by rather majestic trees. There are bathroom facilities and picnic tables, and a Saturday farmer's market in season, though it was small and didn't do a ton for me. As a historical site, it offers some interesting material and there's plenty of free parking nearby, and it's easy to walk around to some of the other notable things in town.

One of the Gems in the state of Kentucky. The site where the first constitution in the state was signed. Right in the middle of downtown Danville, everywhere you look there is state history. There is the first jail, log cabin, plaques, statues, Post Office and even some of the old Row houses that were built by Fisher. There is also an excellent Visitors Information Center and Gift Shop. A wonderful way to spend an hour or so learning about Kentucky History.

This square is a nice bit of open land in downtown Danville, but more than that, it's full of history. The first jail, apartments, post office, bar, and other essential city businesses. There are plaques explaining the role of Danville and it's place in history throughout the area. I imagine you could spend a good hour wandering and taking it all in. Or you could just walk through, glance at a sign, enjoy some green space and move on. Kudos to Danville for highlighting (and preserving) a bit of history so easily accessible and pleasant to consume. I'm really glad we stumbled onto this gem.

I was here for the annual KY BBQ Fest. They have a children's play area, which I can't really comment on and I noticed historic log cabin meeting houses, courthouse, jail, schoolhouse, the row houses and an old post office building, Gift Shop and Visitors Bureau, other than that, there isn't much else to write home about. While I was there I learned that Constitution Square is the site of the signing of Kentucky's Constitution in 1792. Now you know too.
