We stopped here on our way out of French Lick and I'll say it wasn't bad. The food was mostly good, nothing was a "wow" from us but there was nothing bad either. Unfortunately there were no vegetable options when we went which was disappointing. The ambiance is fine, nothing fancy or outlandish just a simple home style diner. The service was very good and we were constantly checked on. Drinks refilled without issue and was very pleasant. The price was amazing though! Super reasonable for a group of five and the kids meals were very cheap for what they actually got!

Breakfast review. Country kitchen ! It can be a little slower pace but the server was attentive. They can get busy too! Lots of locals almost every morning. Great specials. Here is an updated menu. I got biscuits and gravy. 2 eggs and bacon. For under $10. Bacon was good. Biscuits not so much. Seemed stale ? Something was off with the biscuits.

Breakfast was very good and reasonably priced. Don't be in a hurry though. 4 large meals for under $35. Waitress was very attentive. We definitely be back. This was our first time.

When I want good local food in a town you haven't been to before, driving around and looking for pickup trucks in the lot is my way of finding a reliable spot. Connie's lot was filled with them at zero dark thirty in the AM when we drove by one morning so I checked Yelp and we popped in right away for a quick bite.Zero ambiance (a good thing) just spotlessly clean tables and floors. A friendly waitress with a charming drawl offered coffee and a menu. Coffee for me with a cheese omelette and coffee, biscuits and gravy with sausage on the side was my friend's order. The room was filled with gents in farmer caps and good conversation echoed through the room. When our food arrived, it was hot and good - home cookin'! We spoke to a group of locals at a big table in the center of the room for their thoughts. They loved the place and, as they joked with the cute as a button waitress, I realized that my process of finding a reliable place to eat in a new town was still valid.Good food, friendly, welcoming staff and fair (in this cafe, bargain) prices.Recommended

Very good prices - the biscuits and gravy only went up ten cents in the last two years. Nice waitress. Good food. Just a good quality country diner, like you'd expect. No surprises.

I love eating local and this place is definitely a local hidden gem. It's an open dining room and the seats are spaced out. 1 employee was waiting, serving, busing tables, and working the register and she did it with ease! Including us there were about 25 people dining and everyone was well cared for and she made sure your coffee cup was always full. I wish I knew her name to call it out in here, very impressive! Especially since we had eaten at Denny's the day prior and their service was terrible. The menu has lots of options and very reasonably priced. You can get a lot of food for the money. I ordered a full order of biscuits and gravy which was 4 biscuits with a pepper country gravy, a side of hash browns, and VERY good chocolate milk. My son loves "cheesy eggs" so I asked if they could put cheese on his scrambled eggs and they did! It wasn't the shredded cheese he's used to (more like a slice of American cheese) however I was very impressed they accommodated and he enjoyed it. :) Definitely recommend this establishment if you're passing through. We were in French Lick for the weekend and made the drive to support local. Do the same if you get the chance!

My family came to French Lick and were surprised that there isn't really much for dining choices. We decided to venture to Paoli for a breakfast spot on our way out of town. We could not have been more pleasantly surprised!Connie's prices are very reasonable. This is a local place and not a chain and it shows in the food. I got a little something of everything. Scrambled eggs, sausage patties, toast, bacon, and home fries. It was all delicious. You really can't go wrong with traditional breakfast choices here.My wife and son got biscuits and gravy. It's not a sausage gravy if you are looking for that. I tried some and the Bs and Gs are good as well. Very peppery gravy (which I like). The service was also great. Very friendly staff. There was just one server for a packed dining room and she rocked it!

Good food made to order. My kind of place. Hardworking person taking orders, helping plate food, running register and busing tables. My order was incorrect but no big deal. Very good value. I will be back.

When visiting French Lick DO NOT stop at this filthy dump with THE rudest wait staff I have ever encountered. the photos make the food look delicious. I ordered a taco salad and after a 30 minute wait was served stale tortilla chips with prison slop in the center. There was one totally incompetent waitress who had to rely on the kitchen staff for assistance. If they had a negative star I would give it.
