I came in after a man recommended I check out Columbia Steakhouse over Texas Roadhouse. Home run!!I sat at the bar since there was a couple of people mingling& it was late. The steak was magnificent & the service was great! The owner , Greg Penn, came by to introduce himself & insure that I was taken care of. I'll be back! I just want to mention that I'm giving this place a 1-star rating, not because the food was incredibly amazing or anything. It was a bit too greasy for my liking, and the so-called "side items" were practically just cheese. I have to admit, I was a little disappointed. On top of that, the staff seemed quite unorganized, with all the yelling in the kitchen and their conversations being easily overheard. But hey, I have to give credit where it's due, their rolls were absolutely delicious!

The service is so bad at this location. We were here for one hour and five minutes before someone we even waited on us. We waited another hour and still no food. We had to ask to even get our Diego salad came out. I can't remember ever eating anywhere with such bad service. When the orders finally came some of the orders were incorrect. If I could give a 0 rating I would. The salad was not good as I remember was just bagged lettuce like a salad from Kroger with some celery cut in. My friends bacon sandwiches was not good. My food was good with the exception of the salad. Also there was no toilet paper in the restroom stall. The music was playing too loud.

This was the worst steak meal I have ever eaten. Very disappointed. I ordered the special tenderloin steak with butter garlic. The steak was old tasting without any butter or garlic. The steak was ordered medium and was quite raw. I was surprised by the steak fries and not the type I like. Other patrons were very loud and noisy. They were out of items for salads. The music was constant 70s and 80s which seems like an old bar. Avoid this restaurant!!!

I haven't been to a Columbia Steak house since they closed the one in Ashland Ky. For me, I moved out of that area in 1998. Not sure when that restaurant closed in Ashland.Anyway, it was my favorite restaurant bar none back then, I ate there as often as I could. March 2024, I went to the Richmond road location, and it amazed me again like it did before. I got what they called the Nighthawk Special, which is what I always had before, it was just as amazing as it was before. Service was fantastic, food served quickly, just can't say enough about it. I pass through Lexington often in my travels from FL, AL, on my way back home in Ohio, Always in a hurry, or their not open when I come through, but this time I made a point to make time for it and so very glad I did.So many restaurants that I go to that I liked years ago, simply don't deliver the quality, service or taste that was there before, but after 25 years of being away, I am back, and I plan to adjust my travel plans to eating back there as often as I can!Thank you Columbia Steak House!!!Sincerely, Bob Lemley

We visited the Columbia's on Limestone on a Saturday night. we had a large party (25) and we were thrilled they could accommodate us. Wenonly had 1 server and he was very pleasant and helpful. we weren't given any rolls until the food arrived and then only one per person at the table. The rolls were delicious but unfortunately nothing else was. At my table, four of four of us were disappointed. had to ask for a salad, grilled salmon was burnt And chicken sandwich was cold with a hard bun. Three of us received ice cold fries. the fries are potatoes cut long and not good. none of us ate them when they were changed for hot ones. grilled chicken salads at table next to ours had dry burnt chicken.A bacon tenderloin was burnt also and was rough. Others complained of cold sweet potatoes, dry steak, stiff baked potato, as well as the food in general was not good. We will not go back!

Went to this place and the ambience was decent. Ordered a steak medium well. Steak came out with not even the slightest hint of pink. It was clearly well done. Brought it to the waitress' attention but didn't make a fuss. I assumed she mentioned it to the lady managing because she came out to talk to me a few minutes later. Showed it to her and she said that's how medium well looks.So even though I didn't make a fuss, this lady felt the need to come to the table and insult my intelligence about how it was prepared. That annoyed me way more than the food not being prepared how I wanted it. Beyond hard pass on a future visit
