Oh my goodness, what an adorable gem!!! I spotted this place on the drive up to Red River Gorge, and am so delighted I stopped for a bite to eat. There is a big selection of drinks (frappes, hot chocolates, coffee) -- and my frozen mocha was wonderful. There have a huge assortment of gourmet chocolate bars, pastries, and cakes. YUM. Truly, so good, and not like anywhere else around for miles. It's a perfect spot to get together with friends or family. There's a play area for little toddlers, a huge back deck with brand-new furniture and plenty of well-shaded tables. The back yard would be a great event venue. Thanks, hope to be back soon!

We really enjoyed our stay here! We normally visit the Red River Gorge about once a month to climb. Because it was our anniversary we decided to try something a bit romantic (a bed and shower lol). We saw a flyer for the Inn posted on a board near a spot where we climb and decided to try it. We were not disappointed! The couple who own the Inn, Mai and Dustin, are very sweet, talented and welcoming. They've worked hard to create a beautiful space out of what looks like an old motel. The rooms were designed by Mai and are modern and spacious. I'm guessing the room used to be 2 motel rooms made into one suite. We stayed in the Paris room. It's quite large with a separate sitting area (where we put our gear), and a huge bathroom. The wood floors were convenient for when we came in dirty and didn't have to worry about keeping carpet clean. Also, there is a large screen tv with Roku and Sling TV so you can just click an app, put in your own password and watch what you want. The bed was comfortable and we took advantage of the jetted tub every night which felt amazing on tired feet. They also have organic soaps made by a local person that were wonderfully pleasant. And the room has a strong WiFi signal. When we arrived, Dustin and Mai greeted us with small chocolate candies. They were delicious. They live next to the Inn and are very attentive. In anticipation of breakfast, I told them about my food restrictions which they easily accommodated. Mai made the breakfasts, which were well done and generally were an egg dish, fresh fruit or yogurt with fruit, a pastry of your choice and a drink from the menu. We ate outside on the back deck (we could have also taken our food to our room) and sometimes chatted with other guests and customers. Everyone was friendly but not overly invasive. We also learned more about what Dustin and Mai have planned for the future for the Inn and it sounds very exciting. They're a lovely couple with great vision and the effort they put into their Inn shows. Oh one other thing... we casually mentioned on our second day that we were celebrating our anniversary. That evening Dustin and Mai unexpectedly popped by our room with the most delicious mousse cake. Such a sweet surprise! We had just eaten and thought we couldn't stomach anything else, but when we took our first bite we couldn't stop ourselves from devouring it. Seriously delicious!!

We stayed at the Chocolat Inn & Cafe in early July for our Anniversary. Dustin greeted us upon arrival and showed us to our room. We stayed in the London Suite. Very spacious and well appointed room. Had a large walk in shower and a jacuzzi tub. Dustin's wife, Mai made breakfast for us each morning and it was delicious. The owners make every attempt to find out your likes and dislikes and they cater their service to meet your needs. First Class service all the way. Will definitely be back in the fall to see the colors on the trees. Would highly recommend this place!

If you love red River Gorge but you haven't experienced the Chocolat Inn & Cafe you are missing out on a great experience! We were in town for a wedding and so happy we stayed here. The owners - After living abroad for half a decade, traveling the world and meeting the love of his life, he and his wife decided to take a risk and revamp an old rundown motel into a completely unique experience. Each very spacious room is furnished after a major city the owners visited. We stayed in the London Room and loved everything from the bathroom with a spa tub to the large walk in shower to the king bed and large TV. Each nights stay includes breakfast from the cafe. The breakfasts are homemade and delicious with pastries sourced from a local shop. They also roast their own coffee, which to no surprise was phenomenal. Each morning we had breakfast on the back patio. It's the perfect way to start the day in the Gorge!

We stayed at the inn for the weekend and it was delightful. We had the Paris room, with a huge shower, deep jetted tub, big comfy bed and a mini fridge with a small freezer. The soap and shampoo were very nice, with just a little scent but nothing that overwhelmed. The TV is huge, and runs streaming (Sling TV) not cable. Wifi was really good considering the area, way better than most chain hotels where you can barely load web pages. Breakfast was ready precisely when we asked for it - small bowl of fruit, drink, omelet/quiche (different each day) and a pastry of your choice. Cream puffs, strudel and muffins were all very good. Owners were friendly - you check in at the small house to the left of the rooms. Very relaxing, wonderful for a couples weekend.
