This is definitely the place to have a fine dining experience in a relaxed atmosphere. The steaks are perfect and the burgers are delicious. We had our Valentine dinner here tonight and it was wonderful and delicious as always. The owners have years of experience and know how to run a restaurant. The staff are amazing and well trained to make sure you have a great experience. The bar has everything you might want from wine to beer and bourbon.

Definitely enjoyed my meal and cocktail here at Charred Oak! I was in the mood for a burger and the burger I got was worth it. Note: though they call them "smash burgers" - they're still fairly thick, so you will be full! I got the Smoked Gouda Maple Bacon Burger (that's a mouthful - literally) with smoked Gouda, applewood bacon, lettuce, and red onion. YUM! I ate every bite of it. The fries were also so good and crispy. We also enjoyed the pretzel sticks for an appetizer and I easily could've eaten more than one of them if I didn't have to save room for my burger! My mom got the nachos with chicken and I tried a few of her chips - they were great and homemade.Lastly, they have an extensive drink menu with pages and pages of bourbons. I got a blueberry smash type of cocktail with Buffalo Trace that I really liked. I'd like to come back here next time I'm in town for sure! Service was also great and I liked the ambiance inside.

Food was pretty good, we started with our version of the nacho as an appetizer, except we did all vegetables. Very very good! This is not your average nacho. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich minus the croissant. My counterpart ordered the club. My chicken salad was great and it was just what I needed. I will say my counterpart ordered the club, but he wishes he had ordered the burger. The club really is not a club sandwich. They need to rethink that. A club should not be served on Ryebread and should be triple-decker and toasted.if you're going to do a sandwich, please seek out places that do them right. Available for help on that one if you need it.The place is well done, and very clean. Our server was great and did not flinch to our smart Alick well intentioned humor. She gave it right back... Two nice pool tables, However the place could use a bit of contrast, too monotone for my taste. There's an orange accent wall along one side of the restaurant, I think I would've done Orange felt on the pool tables as well. It would've been a cool accent.

My wife called ahead to see if Charred Oak Whiskey Grill's patio was dog friendly. She was told it was so we made our way there. Our server Aslan (not sure of the spelling) was absolutely wonderful to us and our senior pug. She even brought out a bowl of water for him. As for the food, we started out with the pretzel sticks and cheese dip ~ so good. We both then ordered the hamburger- one with fries, one with onion rings. The burger was good and the fries and onion rings were excellent. We then asked our server about ordering chicken for our pug since we would not be able to feed him until later in the day. She said she would have a chicken breast grilled for him! Wow, just great service all around (and thanks to the cook, we had some of chicken and it was delicious)! I also did a small batch bourbon flight and enjoyed each one. My wife had an old fashioned and said it was really good. We also got the banana bread pudding and peach pie to go. Both were excellent . We will be in town a couple more days and will try to stop in again, because the service and food were so good!

Excellent restaurant in a quaint, small town. It's usually hard to find a restaurant serving quality food like this in a small town, but Charred Oak nailed it. We are chicken wing lovers and the wing sauce was the best we've ever had. We enjoyed the burgers for our main meal. The vast beer and liquor selection was enjoyable. Our kids had fun playing old school arcade games. The atmosphere and vibe was on point with the restaurant name. Our server was knowledgeable and provided an excellent, attentive service.

I am truly stunned this place is in Somerset! When I was a kid everyone said, " If Somerset would go wet, we would get a Red Lobster." Too funny that was our thought of High Cuisine in the 1980s :DSomerset did go wet and we got Charred Oak which is 100% better than Red Lobster!! I had amazing avocado toast! The service was amazing! I really loved everything about this place, the bathrooms were clean at neat (ok that is a thing), there are pool tables in the back. There is a full bar...back to being wet! Take a look at the pictures by the restrooms!Pop in here, remember that in the 1950s this was a Kroger!!!

Came in for a dinner while on a business trip in the area. They have a comprehensive bourbon list and some other whiskies too. I had the smash burger and fries, which were tasty. Since I was by myself I ate at the bar. The bartenders were very friendly and helped me order a unique bourbon for my after dinner drink.

Lauren, our server was amazing. Attentive, silent service, and kind. Food awesome. Ambiance good tunes and medium loud. Woodford peach martini highly recommended but dangerously delicious. Also had a $5 martini! Other top items we had, onion rings, burgers and waffle fries. Pretzels were also good but you can skip if there really other thing you are interested in. Amazing prices also. Would recommend.

Food, service is always top notch. It's really only the restaurant we go to. The menu has a great variety of-there is something for everyone. The seating is spaced out. You are not on top of other patrons. Charred Oak Grill has a pleasant atmosphere as well
