Who knew there was a roller rink in the middle of nowhere!?Actually, I had heard about this rink a year ago but couldnt find it.A youth outing last weekend finally brought me here. .... and all this time, it wasn't that far away from me! Go figure.Anyway.Charlie's Roller Rink is a low, rectangular shaped building with a little gravel parking lot. I didn't even see any signs as I pulled up (athough it was at night). The musty, old building smell hit me as I walked inside, but quickly faded as my eyes absorbed the building: a wooden floor surrounded with a waist-high wall barrier served as the roller rink. There were some pillars down the floor to support the rink, seating off to the side, a couple arcade games, and pool tables in the back. Up front is a counter for renting skates and beyond that is a small concession area with candies and sodas. Oh, and the bathrooms are TINY! But, I suppose that's actually kind of safe considering you're most likely to be wearing skates when you go. The walls are close enough for support. Can't have people falling and peeing all over themselves. We spent a couple hours skating around, participating in skating competitions, listening/dancing to music, and having a blast. The skates we rented were great! They've been maintained well (probably upgraded a couple times). I had no issues with the ones I wore, and my feet weren't even that sore the next day.I was actually a bit surprised that I enjoyed myself so much. It's not the fancy, larger kind of rink that I'm used to back home, but it's just as fun.Three stars because it's a small rink stuck in time; but four stars because that makes it kind of charming and fun!

Took almost 40 minutes to get there, only to find the parking lot empty at 9pm on Saturday night...I walked up to the sign at the door. Which stated "Roller rink is closed until further notice" The Thompson Family. Not impressed, there should be a notice online that states this info, then I wouldn't have wasted so much time getting there for nothing. Just saying. Only recommendation would be to call 1st before you waste your time/gas to get there.

Would be a great place for kids, except smoking is allowed inside and many adults did. Even the guy running the place sat at the cash register smoking. Not a healthy environment for kids at all.
