We typically used another processor but with COVID, our regular place wasn't open this year. We had gotten several recommendations to try out Chandlers and we were very pleased with our first experience. We got a small buck on opening day of gun season and dropped it off around noon. We expected it to take a week to be processed which is typical for the processor we normally use but they told us it would only take 3-5 hours. Sure enough, they called us about 5 hours later and we picked up our deer around 7pm that same night. They are a small operation so they don't have a lot of storage room and that's why they turn around the deer so fast. If you want summer sausage or other specialities, those aren't processed until Jan-Feb after the close of deer season. We haven't sampled any of our venison yet but it was professionally packaged in butcher paper and clearly marked with the various cuts. This processor is MUCH closer to our hunting property so we definitely plan to use them from now on.
