Hired Centered Lex for an event off-site and they were INCREDIBLE. So accommodating and wonderful to work with. Josh, Matthew, and a female whose name I didn't catch were fabulous. I specifically received work from Matthew and it really helped. I have always seen massages as relaxing and to work on your muscles alone, but they can do so much more! And they did for me!

Josh Saxton has been my massage therapist for over 20 years. He healed my frozen shoulder and many other aches and pains throughout my life. The doctors wanted to do surgery for the frozen shoulder but I tried massage first and it worked. That was the first time I met Josh...Josh always is very professional and accommodating. The work atmosphere is neat and clean and welcoming! He does excellent bodywork.

I've taken several classes and workshops here. LOVE the space. Big glass garage door lets in a lot of light. The yoga space is wonderful with lots of props available in case you forget your own. Small retail space in the entrance way has just enough stuff without being overwhelming. Very pretty things at fairly reasonable prices.Classes are reasonably priced and the employees are very friendly. I've enjoyed all the classes I have taken there. Yesterday, my friend and I attended the Hamilton inspired Yoga for a Cause class. $5 (or more) donation -- can't beat that! The class was enjoyable. They offer a lot of classes at different times. Also have a sitting area, massage therapists and an infra red sauna which is in a private room which makes it comfortable and inviting. Definitely a place you want to hang out in.

I really like the vibe of the people at the studio. It was very comfortable environment and I like that they also have a little café and massage offerings at the same location. I did a restorative class here when I was in town for a conference and I would definitely recommend the studio.

I think of Centered as the bastion of the Lexington yoga and wellness community. Along with the eclectic mix of classes, I'm a big fan of the drop-in acupuncture. This is an idea that could be terrible in execution, but is kind of wonderful here.

Centered Lexington is located in the newly refurbished area off Ashland Ave. They have a wide variety of offerings here such as yoga, massage, acupuncture by appointment, a small organic and green food cafe, and many other classes such as painting, dancing, and various music classes. They have many guest taught offerings that change from week to week or month to month. You can check it out on their Facebook page. The staff here is very kind and is always happy to help you in any way they can. They also offer a few small retail items that change from time to time such as yoga matts, jewelry, t-shirts, books, ect. Just visiting here makes you feel more and that you are making a positive move in the right direction. Check it out if you looking for any of the above!

I had the gift of receiving treatment from Lauren Higdon at Centered during my third pregnancy with my daughter.Lauren is the kindest and most gentle maternal spirit -- she is an incredible resource and support that I am grateful to have had during my pregnancy. I was able to attend her yoga classes before and during my pregnancy where she gave me personalized attention and helped me through certain aches that I was experiencing in my growing body. Prior to labor, I was able to receive prenatal massages from her preparing my body and mind for natural childbirth. Then, during labor, she coached my husband and I through labor techniques allowing us to have the natural childbirth we were wanting. Her calming spirit and incredible birth knowledge was exactly what we needed at the time. When I left the hospital with my daughter, Lauren came to our home the following day to give my daughter and I a gentle recovery massage. She helped with postpartum recovery by holding and closing the bones at my ribs and hips which was important to help my body to heal and she also gave some gentle craniosacral therapy and belly massage to my two day old daughter. Now, postpartum, I am blessed to be able to continue working with Lauren. She is an incredibly asset to pregnant women here in Lexington -- I am so thankful for her!
