Stayed her for 7 weeks and was very satisfied with the accommodations. Small cabin was just enough for me and bed was comfy. Owners were very nice and accommodating.

Cave Run Lodge was the perfect place for a easy going, relaxing trip. The volleyball court, pool and grill made it possible to have a good time without having to drive all over the place. The cabins were very well kept up and had everything that we could possible need for a great weekend away. Would recommend to anyone traveling threw the area or looking for a place to take your family or a big group of friends for a great weekend!

Trying to find an alternative to a chain hotel, wanted to find a 'cabin style' rental that provided a couple of beds, living space, kitchen and bathroom. Thought we found the cutest lodge with reasonable rates and all that we were looking for until we arrived. Moving our supplies into the cottage, our adventure began. The lock on the front door barely worked, had we worked hard enough, we could have opened the door without the key. The liviing area had 2 loveseats, no sofa, no chair. A table lamp was the only light in the room except for a celing fan with a light that if you used it looked as though it would drop to the floor. There was a futon with no cover and broken frame. The television had cable but the tv was so small, you needed binoculars and the signal was 'salt and pepper' because the coax cable was taped to the tv with ducttape. The bathroom had no shower hooks, all the towels were in a pile on the floor. There were no hooks anywhere so hand towels and washclothes had to hang on the window treatments or on the medicine cabinet. The toilet would not flush unless you held the handle down and never let go.The kitchen had a table and 3 chairs, there were four of us. There were 3 dishes, 3 bowls, 3 sets of utensils..... There were pans but with the teflon was chipped and scraped off. There was nothing to make eggs, we had to use the pasta pot to cook all of our food in. We called the manager a couple of times to see if we could get a better pan, the answer was a simple, 'no'. We asked prior to coming if there were grills. Yes, there is a grill, but my husband wouldn't cook on it unless we could get it sandblasted first. It was so rusted out it was unusable. We had to wash our dishes with papertowels because there was nothing to wash dishes with and no hot pads so you had to use bathroom handtowels to take things from the oven. The bedrooms each had a full size bed. ONLY the bed.Needless to say, we ended up spending more money than we planned due to needing to purchase items in order to make the unit comfortable to cook in, I would never come back here.

We have been staying at this establishment since 2007, it is nothing fancy but serves the purpose. We always stay in the 1 bedroom, the place is spotless, has all the amenities you need, linens, towels, kitchen is fully equipped with large refrigerator/stove and microwave. It is under new owners and they take pride in their renters. The managers, Ben & Chrissy are amazing, now I understand why the owner, Shaun hired them to manage Cave Run. They go above and beyond and are concerned for everyone's safety and make sure we have everything we need. I would highly recommend Cave Run Lodging for your stays, only about 1 mile from Cave Run Lake.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The list of issues would take me all day to detail, so I will only give a few of the lowlights. Both the carpet and the linoleum were sticky to walk on. The stove burners were lined in aluminum that looked like they had not been changed in decades...turning on one burner set off the smoke detector. We had the four bedroom unit with three stories, two bedrooms in the lower level, two on the third floor, and living room, bathroom and kitchen on the middle floor. The stairs to the bottom floor were very steep metal circular and VERY dangerous to use. The stairs up to the third floor required that you bent over to use (I am 5 ft 7 in tall) - one taller guest had to come down the stairs bending over and backwards. The bottom two bed rooms were concrete block, and with their very small size resembled a cell block. Each bedroom only contained a child size bed with a very uncomfortable mattress and no other furniture. Ironically, this monstrosity of a building had a security camera set up (working?) to protect something but I can't imagine what. Even if the building ergonomics were ok, bottom line is that this place is dirty, filthy, disgusting and so badly over priced that even if the cost was 25 percent of what we paid it would be overpriced.

Chrissy was so accommodating and kind. She was sure to answer any questions and help us with whatever we needed. It a bit outdated as said before but everything is clean and kept well! It is only a short drive to the lake. For the value and cleanliness of the cabin and for Chrissy we will be back !

A group of 14 of us stayed here in July of 2016. We had a blast. The cabins were a little outdated and the wifi was intermittnet but that didn't matter. The management was friendly and the places were great. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. Perfect if you want to do day trips on Cave Run Lake. We have already made tentative plans to come back at some point in the near future. They are cabins...if you want wifi and a hotel experience don't stay here- but if you want to connect with family and friends and really enjoy yourself, you can't beat this place!

If I could it would have 0*. We had reservations and I called to see if we could reschedule and plainly told them if I decided to I would call back with a new stay date. They gave the cabin to someone else and I didn't find out until we went to check in. Then the main owner got on the phone and said it was my fault and was cussing. I had already paid half down and he wouldn't refund me our money. He we would have to reschedule. He told me I was making the manager lady feel sh*#y because I was wanting my cabin or money back. Very professional. This place is owned by idiots.

Not what you see on the website...It is a dirty, fly and mosquito infested place.Everything is dirty...No beds, just matresses on the floor. Hard and sqweeky as well. Handbasins had no plugs, the shower setting was broken off, the TV tripped after a few hours and we could not restore the power. Utensils were dirty and short...only3 mugs for 8 people. The TV remotes batteries kept on falling out.Our neighbours came over to borrow some pots and pans, because theirs were so filthy....not that ours was much better !!The BBQ outside is flat on the ground, with no grill supplied. Had to go back to LOWES to buy a grill and 2 bricks to use it on.The manager mumbles along and when we asked a tin opener, he told US, the guests,to walk down to his place, to pickup one.Worst thing, off course, I invited some overseas friends along......I left ashamed !!And this was Labour Day weekend !! There is no PRIDE in the ownership at this place.
