Cave Hill Motel

I cut my trip short, because I couldn't stand being in that motel more than 2 days. The sheets on one of the 2 beds might have been just stained, but it looked disgustingly dirty. The shower also didn't look like it was clean. The carpet was grimy and I'm afraid to know what was on the walls next to the bed. The owner was nice and told me he owned several properties, but he needs to make improvements. There was nothing charming about this place.

The room was small but very clean but the winning point of our stay was the management they were super and I would stay again. I like to thank you for your compassion and down home hospitality our stay was made easier considering the reason we were in Edmonton....

Cute, clean, inexpensive and just plain 'nice'. Our room was relatively 'small', but had two double beds with a single 'nightstand' w/ clock and lamp between, desk/chair with TV, free wi-fi, full bath, small open hanging closet, plus one additional 'easy'-type chair. They stashed extra blankets for our use in the desk drawers. We were able to park our car just feet away from the room. We stayed for a few days during a heat wave, and while the wall air conditioning unit didn't cool exceptionally quickly, it did a good job once closing the door to the bathroom and closing the outside door. All the rooms have a 'storm'-type door as well as regular door, too. Not sure how it would have been during the winter season, there was a heater in the bathroom, but I can say it was very pleasant despite the heat wave we experienced. Our room had a smoke detector. They fixed our beds/room, cleaned the bathroom, and gave us fresh towels/washcloths every day. They even monitored we had enough toilet paper, and made sure we had full rolls. Little details matter! Just minutes from about anything you could need to get to in south central Kentucky. You'd think that with rooms so small, right next to each other that you'd hear neighbors and noise, but to our surprise, nothing... and our neighbor denied hearing our 5-year old, too. I'm sure this review might not be seen by many folks, but since this place deserved a good review, it's my pleasure to be able to leave one! We'll visit Cave Hill Motel again and will not hesitate to recommend it to anyone passing through the area. :-)
