Cast Iron Steakhouse

Food was amazing! Our steaks were melt in the mouth. Too full to eat dessert so ordered to take home. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, great service. Can't wait to go back. Maple balsamic dressing a little sweet for my liking but always want to try something new.

Well. We went here hoping it would be as good as the Cast Iron Steakhouse that used to be on River Road, in Louisville. ( now The Pine Room) We absolutely loved Cast Iron in Louisville. Went numerous times. This just isn't the same. Big disappointment. The food wasn't bad, but also not great. I had the filet with a house salad and spinach. For some reason, I also had mashed potatoes on my plate. Didn't order them. Steak was very tender, cooked properly, but just didn't have much actual flavor. A1 sauce helped. My spinach was decent, but not like it was at the Louisville location. The potatoes were a bit gummy, but ok. My salad was lackluster, and again, not as good as the Louisville location was. Husband got cajun chicken pasta. He said it was good, but didn't knock him out. The service was very good. All waitresses and manager very attentive and kind. No problem there. The ambiance is severely lacking. Coming from Louisville, as soon as we crossed the bridge, everything looked just depressing. Not sure how else to describe it. The restaurant itself is depressing. It just has a very "off" feeling. So, well, there it is. Really wanted to love this place. Unfortunately, it's not worth the 20 minute drive to return. The over- whelming depressive nature of Indiana and the restaurant is awful. Everything just feels awful..dark, dank, concrete everywhere. So sad. Will not be returning. ( We didn't inform the staff, since the food was ok. We mostly just wanted out of the atmosphere.)

My wife and I have wanted to try this restaurant for quite some time. We had 6:30 reservations, and didn't get seated till 7:00. The hostess was quite rude. We didn't get our food until almost 8:00. The food was decent, nothing to write home about. The restaurant itself was small but nice. The major Plus of the experience was our waitress she was wonderful. Overall it wasn't bad, but didn't wow me enough to make a second trip.

I know I'm late getting this review in! We went the day after Valentine Day and yes it was busy and we didn't have a reservation but the hostess was so nice and suggested if we didn't want to wait we could sit at the bar so we did and our waitress and bartenders Jess and I believe Melissa or Michelle was fantastic they were great with drinks and food suggestions. I had the pork chops and my husband had the sirloin they were both great cooked perfectly now back to Jess she had me laughing and she make a great cast iron cocktail so if you want great food and the best service try this place you won't be disappointed! The only thing they could do to make it better is put a foot bar across the bottom of the bar so it's easier for us short people

A great dinner at Cast Iron Streakhouse.We've both tried a lot of different dishes here over the years. But these days we stick with our favs. The wife always gets the pecan encrusted chicken with sprouts and mac and cheese. I'm all but guaranteed to order their greek salad with grilled chicken sling with a side of chicken. Then I add my own olive oil. It's delicious and filling.

Everyone's steak was perfect and extremely tasty! Our server Hannah was amazing. She had a great sense of humor and was on point with her service. Our Valentines Day was spectacular and an overall great evening. We would definitely visit again when we pass through again.

We just came for apps after having an early dinner elsewhere but the service and food we did get was awesome. We sat at the bar and had the nicest bartender get us what we needed. Even though it was later in the evening we felt welcomed and that was appreciated.

This is a fantastic place to take your family have a party or just private dining for 2. I don't eat a lot of red meat but, I must say, they have the best steaks ever. My family and I love spending our birthdays with Cast Iron Steakhouse.

The food and service were both excellent! I highly recommend Cast Iron Steakhouse for any occasion. We will definitely return!

Everything was so good! Trying to save some for home, I just couldn't stop eating! My 10 yr old daughter wanted to eat my meatloaf. She said next time she will order the adult meal!!!!
