A really fantastic restaurant with lots of gluten-free options. Had a cool vibe and the shrimp and grits was simply fantastic. I was told the whiskey sour with the pork shot was really fantastic

Lexington staple! Me and two friends went in for a happy hour celebration. We ordered three appetizers to share and everything was exactly as I expected. You MUST get the grilled brie, ribs, and truffle fries with lobster and crab. I think our server's name was Jared; he was fine. As a non-drinker, I also appreciated having numerous N/A options. Enjoyed my mango Bellini!

Restaurant ReviewWe had an amazing experience at this restaurant, starting with a cozy spot at the bar where the service was nothing short of excellent. The bartenders were attentive, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of the entire evening. We started with the truffle fries, which were absolutely delicious--crispy, perfectly seasoned, and packed with that indulgent truffle flavor. To accompany them, we ordered a Lemon Drop martini and an Old Fashioned. Both cocktails were expertly crafted, balanced, and full of flavor. For the main course, we opted for the 20 oz ribeye, which was cooked to absolute perfection. It was juicy, tender, and seasoned just right--a steak lover's dream! And just when we thought it couldn't get any better, dessert arrived. The peanut butter pie was the perfect sweet ending to our meal--rich, creamy, and decadent.Overall, this was a top-notch dining experience. If you're looking for great food, fantastic drinks, and exceptional service, I highly recommend grabbing a seat at the bar and indulging in everything this place has to offer!

The Marriott staff strongly recommended us heading here for lunch / brunch. And rightly so.Wonderful atmosphere and really great staff. My colleague and I looked over the brunch and lunch menus and both elected to stick to the more traditional lunch, though our waitress Tylyn made some excellent recommendations. I needed something a little lighter and decided on the ahi tuna salad. Wow. One of the best I've ever had. Light dressing, crunchy and fresh salad and the tuna was amazing. This is a must return restaurant. I cannot say enough. Highly recommended.

Went to Carson's from some heavy recommendations from locals. A group of 5 of us sat at the bar for dinner. The overall menu is impressive and has steak options in the mid $30 range to $70. I went with the Filet Medallions and Scallops. The steaks were cooked to a perfect medium rare and the crab and lobster topping was so flavorful. The rest of the group had similar cuts of steaks from the Barrel Cut Filet Mignon to the Black Angus Ribeye. Not one complaint was heard from our group and it will definitely be high on the list if we ever return to Lexington.

My wife and I were there recently for the first time. Our server was a real delight, I believe her name was Logan. The extensive menu makes it hard to choose. I started with the Pretzels and Beer Cheese. Love the spicy house mustard. My wife had the Ahi Poke Lettuce Wrap. This has a hint of wasabi aioli combined with Ahi Tuna sashimi, cucumbers, ginger, red onion, tomato with avocados that is tossed with a sweet and spicy soy.I have the Carson's Pastrami Sandwich, which consist of shared pastrami, with melted Swiss cheese and a Russian Dressing. It is toped off with a spicy cilantro/jalapeño cold slaw all severed on a fresh hoagie roll. My wife had the Portobello sandwich that consist a marinated portobello mushroom cap, grilled, and topped with a house goat cheese spread, roasted red pepper, red onion, tomato, bibb lettuce, balsamic reduction, avocado, and garlic aioli on a toasted brioche bun. We were stuffed and could not eat another bite. They have a tremendous offering of a wide range of cocktails as well. They also offer a classic series cut steaks that are seasoned with the signature house blend,The amazing decor with beautiful chandeliers and slow jazz being placed created an ambiance that is not found else where in Kentucky. We highly recemmended this place.

Carson's has long been my go-to spot for celebrating life's milestones, so it was the perfect choice for our New Year's Eve dinner! Booking through OpenTable was a breeze--even when they're fully booked, the app's waitlist makes it easy to snag a table if your notifications are on. This time was no exception to their consistent excellence. The Sweet and Spicy Ribs are an absolute treat--huge portions, perfectly seasoned, with meat that literally melts off the bone. These ribs are why I keep coming back! I always pair them with different sides, and this time I went with the chopped wedge salad and the teriyaki green beans, which had just the right balance of flavor. For my drink, I opted for the London Mule, which was refreshing and perfectly mixed. The atmosphere at Carson's is cozy and vibey--yes, it can be a little on the louder side, but we didn't mind. It adds to the lively energy of the space. Our server, Dane, was fantastic--friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly personable. He made sure we were well taken care of, even on such a busy night. Carson's continues to deliver on every front, and I can't recommend it enough for any special occasion--or just because you deserve an amazing meal. Cheers to another year of delicious celebrations here!

I grew up in Kentucky. How did I not know about this place until now?Came for a family dinner and everything was just fantastic. We had a reservation (which I recommend - strongly), so we were seated promptly even though we were a few minutes early. We were a party of five and there are lots of groups there, which will make getting a table without a reservation even harder. We started with the baked goat cheese served with terrific rolls. If you're a goat cheese fan, get this. There are other starters that looked equally delicious... I could make a meal out of their starters. But that would be a mistake because I wouldn't have had the fried chicken, which is out of this world. Actually, I didn't order just the fried chicken. I had the Creole Chicken and Shrimp. It was outstanding... and those cheese grits underneath... amazing. I tried my Mom's fried chicken (their specialty) and it was delicious. Out of this world. Everything we had was really great. I would absolutely come back to Carson's when I'm in Lexington again. It's some of the best food I've ever had in Kentucky. Chef's kiss. Kiss the chef.

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying brunch at Carson's, and I have to say, it was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment I walked in, the welcoming atmosphere and attentive service set the tone for a great experience. The highlight for me was the Bloody Mary--absolutely amazing! It was perfectly seasoned and had the right balance of spice and flavor. For food, the Fried Chicken Breakfast was a standout. The chicken was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and paired so well with the perfectly cooked breakfast sausage. The Chicken and Waffles were equally impressive, with the waffle being fluffy and the chicken just the right amount of savory. But the real star of the show? The Deep-Fried Cinnamon & Sugar Buttermilk Biscuits. They were out of this world--light, sweet, and packed with flavor. A perfect indulgence to end the meal on a high note.If you're looking for a top-notch brunch spot, Carson's is a must-visit. Every dish was a hit, and I can't wait to return!

I found myself in Lexington and wanted some upscale food, so I popped in for brunch. I got the 8 ounce steak and eggs, with biscuits and gravy for the side. DELICIOUS! The two bloody Marys with the loaded skewers helped make the day. Enjoy!
