Calumet Club

I wanted to let you and the Staff know how appreciative the Foley/Blankenship Families are for Superb work and professionalism, that was put into their wedding. you made the event a wonderful magical night for everyone, and I have sung your praises everywhere we go. We went to several event and venues all over and it was only when we went to the Calumet that we knew this was the place that was going to bring all of our dreams together. Shared in a wedding at this venue over the weekend. Beautiful place! The online pictures don't do it justice. I met the owner the first time visiting. Nice guy, however, very stiff and not too friendly which was surprising because this is a family owned venue. I hope he was simply having an off day. Alexis, on the other hand, was amazing to work with! He's blessed to have her on his team. Although, the wedding was to take place in the outside garden, the weather didn't cooperate and it was moved to inside. Alexis did an amazing job with the turn around between the wedding and the reception. The parking lot isn't very large, but honestly for an average size wedding it's adequate. The highlight of this venue is the beautiful wood floors and the windows that seem to stretch from the floor to the ceiling. The balcony that surrounds the main hall is a wonderful setup. The owner is very particular on what vendors participate in any wedding at the Calumet Club, so be sure to have all your vendors checked out and approved by the owner before booking them.

I would highly recommend the Calumet Club for a wedding reception. By the looks of the outside of the building you would expect it to be an old rental hall, but it's very nice and spacious with beautiful hardwood floors. I loved the fact that the tables and chairs are included with the price. My daughter chose to have chair covers put on them, but it's not necessary. The only issue I had was dealing with Mark Bliss, he's a little to arrogant for my taste. He's the type I would put in his place in a heartbeat, but thank God he was no where in sight for the wedding. The wedding planner Alexis was a blessing. We used most all of his preferred vendors and they were wonderful. My favorite vendor was Stumler's Catering. We also used Chair Flair and she was awesome too.

Do not let the exterior of The Calumet Club fool you... this venue is an incredible place for a wedding! Mark Bliss and his staff were exceptional to work with, always providing a fun experience. Alexis - Bridal Consultant for the Club - is worth her weight in gold! She made us both feel so relaxed during all the planning efforts and even more special the day of our wedding. Between Mark and Alexis giving us their personal numbers, returning our calls even after standard business hours, and making sure our day went off without a hitch, our experience with The Calumet Club was nothing short of AMAZING! We still get compliments on the venue and how professional/friendly the staff were that night. The Calumet club is OUSTANDING the staff is superb Alexis the wedding consultant well all I can say is she is a SUPERHERO she deflates any issue in a single bound.
