Great place for first time campers! We did our first tent camping trip here and it was the perfect place for us. Staff was extremely nice and helpful with any questions that we had.We stayed for 2 nights and it was about 44 dollars which wasn't bad at all Toilets and showers were located on the backside of the little store. They were fine but got muddy since it rained which wasn't a big deal. They also had porta potty's further back so those that were further away didn't have to go too far. They had a little restaurant quick food area inside the shop that had breakfast, lunch and dinner items. We were next to the road but it was not too busy and there was a good amount of space between the sights. There was a bunch of families and everyone seemed to be having a good time. There are quiet hours starting at 10pm and everyone respected it. Not too far from hikes that we went on and we will definitely be back!

We had a great time at Callie's! Conveniently located to Red River Gorge, affordable and lots of amenities. We are used to "roughing it" when we camp so having a restaurant and camp store on-site was super convenient. They never sell out of primitive sites so this is the place to go if you want to take a spontaneous trip. I'm going to recommend Callie's to my friends and family.

This is an excellent place to camp!!! We stayed in a primitive site with our tent and had everything we needed. The bathrooms (4 self-contained with toilet, sink, and shower) were great and I never had to wait for one to be available. Everyone at the store was extremely kind and helpful. Firewood is available for $8/bundle, pizza can be ordered, and smoked meats are cooked outside the store. Overall, a great experience for clean and convenient camping. Definitely check this place out!

Not sure how this place got any good reviews. Came in for tent camping, office locked with sign on door stating they weren't there for 2 days. Hours modified so not open except noon-5 other days. None of this on website. Left payment in lockbox. No way to buy supplies or firewood tho; office closed. Toilets and showers NOT well marked; turns out they're behind the office, and have a keypad lock- and NOBODY in sight to give the number.Dumpster overflowing, looks like no trash pickup for weeks. Porta-pots dingy (and that's being nice). Lake is misnomer, think pond with attitude. Finally, in spite of being a good distance from highway, got serenaded all night with traffic noise, airbrakes, and prop planes coming in to some airport nearby.Don't bother.

10/10 for Callie's! Large spaces, plenty of room for tent or RV, small lake for swimming or fishing. Clean restrooms! They were a bit of a walk from our primitive site in the back, but port-a-potties throughout. (Id rather make the walk, but nice that they are there!) And general store/restaurant. Everything you need, a really great experience. We will def be back!

Best campground we have ever stayed at. Staff treated us like family, clean quiet and just couldn't be more impressed. I recommend a visit to Callie's. Great people, environment, food, prices and way to much more to mention

After traveling a lot ,I rate this as one of my favorite campgrounds in the area. The kindness they share is the best you could ask for. I always feel welcome. There's no doubt I will frequent this place every time I'm at the gorge.

Nice parking lot, bad rv park. Lake green, mossy. Not ideal for children to be in. The people next to us were wasted and the spots left just enough room for our pop up. We paid 165 for 3 nights and stayed at 4 guys rv park instead. Clean pool too for kiddos. Right up the road from Callies and closer to the gorge. Not a fan of Callies. For some odd reason I could not leave a review on Google?? They sure have a lot of 5 star reviews. I'm wondering where the others are or why I can't leave one there. Skewed google reviews.
