"My wife is a big fan of Angel's Envy Rye, so it was only fitting that our first distillery tour was at Angel's Envy. We did the Private Select tour that lasts an hour. Kelsea was a super smart and engaging tour guide. Loved her energy and how interactive she made the tour. Like all distillery tours, the tour walks you thru the production steps. I found the facility to be spacious, beautifully designed with awesome signage. As someone who loves technology, the new bottling/labeling line was fun to watch. They can produce almost 50K bottles daily. For our tasting, we tried three types of bourbon. The first was used to prep our mouth and senses for the next two tastings. We also had chocolates that came alive when tasted with the bourbon. If you are fortunate to have Kelsea as your guide, make sure you spell her first name correctly in any review. Her awesome presentation was worthy of a nice tip, which we happily shared as we left the boardroom. In the retail store on the main level, pick up a bottle and have your name inscribed for $10. A neat keepsake for any visit.#angelsenvy"
"Very good beer option with just price for flights. Good menu is tasty. Great vibes and music."
"Great food - the wings are OUTSTANDING!!!! Go Buffalo all the way. Wine also amazing! We did a flight of 5 and we really enjoyed 4/5... nice place for sure and great staff."
"First time here. Great homemade food. I couldn't imagine the wait if it was packed. They had a sign on the door to be patient. Only a few people in he restaurant since it was late afternoon. Prices were very reasonable. My son and i each ordered the 4 strip and 2 side meals. The specialty of the house is chicken. They also recommended the waleye sandwich and reuben. Cheese stick appertizer was amazing. They are either mozzarella or pepperjack. They are the fattest ones i have ever had. The waitress said they are a specialty as well. The restaurant is an old barn that used to be a party hall. Sweet tea was super sweet, very Southern. Great service. Lots of televisions with sports."

Although I prefer distilleries away from urban areas Angel's Envy caught my eye several years ago after seeing a video made by the late graphic designer, Julius Friedman. An old historic building renovated into an attractive distillery plus half off a tour because it was Hometown Tourist Month was an offer I couldn't refuse. The tour is an hour long with a tasting at the end. Although there is a pay parking lot next to the distillery just a block east on Main Street you can find free parking. I simply parked on Hancock Street(side street off of East Main Street). If you are willing to park a block and half away you can save money. You are also the nearby NuLu district of East Market Street with a number of local shops and restaurants plus some coffee shops.

As a recent retiree, I'm on the lookout for cheap good eats. I feel like I hit the jackpot at Monnik Beer in Germantown. Their sides are $3 at lunchtime. Hub and I split a lion's mane sandwich with 3 sides: pickled cabbage, grilled broccolini and stamppot....mashed potatoes with carrots and kale. So good! Love Monnik s menu everyday but love their lunch special even more. They have a really nice atmosphere, outside seating, great service and upscale pub and healthy food items. Of course the beer and drinks menu is great with fun non alcoholic choices. I tell the bartender what I like and they create a mocktail for me. Nice garden outback that is good for kids. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants and with good prices.

I would like to start by saying this place has amazing potential! I ordered the chicken & waffle(s).. a very well seasoned chicken breast served on a waffle. The waffle was a little tuff. If possible I would love to substitute for pancakes. I would definitely eat the chicken as a sandwich as well. My mom ordered the breakfast burger. She said it was good! It was served with a side of fries. They would be good if they were deep fried. The only downside to the side Caesar salad was the dressing was too thick for my liking. It was not a traditional caesar dressing. The drinks were good! The bottomless Mimosas was a nice shareable size. I would definitely recommend this place. It is a beautiful venue!

Ate here alone on Saturday for lunch. There were about 8 tables occupied. There were only 2 servers, a male and a female, and the male was doing almost all the work, but he was really hustling, so the service was good and attentive. I had the mushrooms with spicy ranch appetizer and the meat loaf dinner with jalapeno cheddar potatoes and green beans. Everything tasted great. I had strawberry shortcake for dessert--small portion, but good. This place was a 45 minute drive away, so I probably can't return soon, but anyone on the east side of Cincy would probably find it a rewarding experience.

The former home to the Bacon-Makin People, otherwise known as the Fischer Meat packing plant, now houses an antique mall, artist studios/galleries, specialty stores, office spaces, fitness businesses, rehearsal areas for dancers and theatre groups, a pizza place, and much more. They have space available for rent and have hosted art fairs, concerts, and film festivals, just to name a few. Almost twenty years ago, they traded in hogs hanging by their hocks for art hanging on the walls. It smells much better now. I've been here several times over the years since they repurposed this space. It's nice, and I'm glad this old plant didn't sit vacant or get razed. They seem to have quite a bit going on here to keep it healthy and vital. Danny Mac's Pizza and Mellwood Antiques seem to be some of the biggest draws for daily customers, along with the fitness studios. It's an eclectic mix here and a good use of space. The location is convenient from the east and downtown, and is just off of I-71 at Zorn.

Came on a Tuesday night.Food (burger and fish and chips) was good, portions were a bit small.Had margaritas on the happy hour--but outside of the happy hour drinks seemed a little steep. It is a very cute venue and the location for something like this has a lot of potential.Service we had no complaints!

"The Mellwood arts center is a wonderful place that I have been three or four times. I have attended a few weddings here and it's always nice and beautiful. I have also walked around and seeing all the wonderful colorful beautiful art. It's very nice and I definitely recommend it"
"Mulligans is a new gem that just opened recently in the Glenmary neighborhood. The food is delicious and the menu has a variety of dishes. This was the perfect place to have a dinner party of 14 guests. I got the sirloin steak and was surprised at how delicious it was. (So tender- reminded me of a filet cut) A thick cut sirloin, cooked to perfection on a sizzling cast iron skillet. Everyone in my party really enjoyed their meals. The service was impeccable and were so accommodative for my large party. I can't wait for the warmer months to enjoy the outdoor area where there is pickle ball and a small children's playground. Give them a shot, you won't regret it!"
"Talk about the most pool tables I have ever seen. This place is awesome! The bar tender was super sweet and the pizza was on point. We highly recommend this place"
