Amanda S. "We chose the Main on Main as our reception venue after touring a few places in Lexington and have absolutely no regrets! We chose the MoM for a few reasons: it was close to our ceremony site, provided parking for guests that we could pay for (for a reasonable cost), on-site catering by Dupree, ability to seat our amount of guests, but mainly for the AMAZING skyline view of Lexington as the venue is on the top floor of the Chase building. Mike and I worked with their coordinator Heather, who was wonderful and so helpful throughout the planning process. She is a busy lady, but would always respond back to emails/phone calls whenever she could. We met with her ~5x before the wedding to plan, brainstorm ideas, and review details. She gave a few options for the layout of the reception and how things would "flow" but I deferred to her judgment as I thought she would know what would be the optimal way. For selecting our menu, we had so many options. We decided to do a buffet-style dinner so people could have more choice over their meal. It was honestly so hard to decide on dinner choices because everything sounded delicious. We did a beef tenderloin and chicken meat option, roasted broccolini and smashed potatoes with the sweet potato kale salad- ALL delish. We are still having people tell us how good the food was! The event thanks to Heather and our day-of-coordinator went off without a hitch! I highly recommend the venue as an event space- particularly for wedding receptions!"

I had the opportunity to work alongside Amber and Brittany while planning my client's wedding, and let me tell you these gals are some of the hardest working, most organized "can do attitude" venue coordinators I've ever worked with in my career. As a wedding planner from Los Angeles, we worked mostly via phone, and email, and the process was smooth, communication was great and it was a wonderful time truly! Amber exchanged pictures of the lawns, floorplan examples and even measured out the lawn for our lighting & tent needs. And on the day of the wedding Amber and the Warrenwood Team went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make dreams come true for the client and my team! I am blown away by their southern hospitality and even more so with their dream wedding venue. Look no further, with these girls and Warrenwood Manor- they will treat you amazingly, book your wedding or event here! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!!"

Lorie L. "Such a wonderful, unique experience in Louisville! We returned this year to rent the 502 House for two days and paid for an event to celebrate my oldest graduating from high school. Day one with family, the second having a handful of friends to fill up the house that sleeps 10 people. The 502 House has plenty of indoor fun as well. You MUST check out its photos on their website. Parking sits directly behind the house which was convenient for our guests. Its only downfall is there's only one bathroom!! Thankfully the property has a couple of group bathrooms nearby. The property has grown with an event hall and more airstreams. I also loved walking the back paths behind the campers and houses. They've done a wonderful job weaving the path under the canopy of trees to create privacy. If you need to get a walk or jog in, you're covered. There's no lack of kayaks, paddle boards or life jackets. Even though most spaces were filled, we did not feel crowded. My kids and their friends played pickle ball on their new court. A beautiful space and quiet at night. I'm looking forward to returning and making more memories. The team running Progress Park took great care of us and I'd recommend this space to anyone."

Joseph G. "Freedom hall is a legendary arena in Louisville Kentucky smack dab in the middle of the Kentucky Fair and expo center. Originally opened in 1956 it seats 18,865 people for basketball games and 19,200 people for concerts. Was the long time home of local university and my personal favorite team the University of Louisville Cardinals. The cardinals moved over to the Yum center after the 2010 season. Freedom Hall also once hosted numerous huge concerts. Mainly country concerts but has hosted huge names in other genres such as Elvis Presley, kids, AC/DC and Led Zeppelin. They have hosted wwf/e ppvs and events. Now mainly they host bellarmine knights home basketball games and odds and ends things like the circus or tractor pull shows. This was once a state of the art facility but it has not been taken care of for years. Very ran down and sorry now. However the nostalgic feeling when I walk around the 360 degree halls outside the arena is amazing. All kinds of great memories and times were had here. The exterior walls has plaques of the Kentucky athletic hall of fame which is pretty cool. They do have plenty of bathrooms and concessions set around the arena too. Overall I'm probably rating it higher due to nostalgic. It really is in rough shape right now and I hope the city or state steps up and restores it soon before we lose this historic building."

If you want to go to Lowe's, this is literally next door to it. I think my biggest and only complaint of the place was the noise. It can get a bit noisy due to paper-thin windows. I think some people would complain that this place is dated, but I do not mind dated hotels. I think it adds character and when I say dated - it is 1980s-ish. Customer service was solid. Since this is a relatively new venue, there were some kinks. Going in, we didn't have tickets so we went to the counter to purchase. There really wasn't any direction at the door so we kind of just wandered in. We found where we could purchase tickets for the show but with the lack of direction - we could have just walked in without paying. There are multiple restrooms and they were extremely clean, even later in the night. There is a raised section with some seating. Plenty of dance space. There is also a bar with both cocktails and draft beer (mostly Upland Brewing offerings). Prices weren't bad and the line moved pretty quickly. The venue holds a pretty decent amount of people and I look forward to seeing more shows there. Because we had rescheduled our event dates, she provides me with all the details I needed to make a quick decision. There is a room rental fee, but it's reasonable and includes the set-up and fresh flowers. The menu is straight forward, offering 1-3 entrees and various sides. Salad and/or dessert can be added to the menu, and you can bring in your own dessert (and for a small fee, they'll cut up and serve this too).I love the private bar and they take credit card! Cash bars are the worst for events. We had a sponsor for cocktail hour and Lisa made sure to manage the timing and charges for us.My team raved about everything - the food, the vibe, the bartenders, the lounge area (couches you'll never want to leave) .. it got a bit warm with our group, but Lisa did her best to keep the temp cooler - and the next day she was calling a service person to ensure it wasn't a future issue. The room does have columns. It makes for a bit of a visual challenge if your presenting, but Lisa provided my speakers with a cordless hand mic. With it being on the 3rd floor, also keep this in mind for guests that may struggle with the walk up. Also, the windows surrounding the venue will give your event an expensive feel especially at night when the buildings and bridge are lit.I have received rave reviews about our event and I cannot say enough about Lisa and her team. She came out to check in with me several times and "made it happen". She also interacted with our guests and made sure to know which VIPs to watch for.My only disappointment is that I don't have disposable income to have regular events here."

Kathy V. "The Pointe is a cool place for a wedding. It is Pinterest-Picture-Perfect. A pretty mash up of industrial minimal meets rustic.I have attended two different weddings here, and both were absolutely wonderful. They both had very similar feels to them, because the space has a defined aesthetic to it already, and there is only so much that can be done to change up a space that during the week also is home to other businesses and studios. But it also appears as though they are happy to work with you to provide unique and individual touches. It is an all-in-one venue. Space for the ceremony as well as the reception. A reception room big enough for a decent sized wedding party table, cake table, bar, cozy guest tables for dinner, and still space for an ample dance floor. The restrooms are clean and there are enough to handle a weddings' worth of folks through out the night with minimal lines. They have a dedicated, though small parking lot, and as long as there isn't a huge event at Copper and Kings up the road, ample street parking is available. The ceremony chairs could use some refreshing/replacing. The first wedding I attended here had many people annoyed and embarrassed that the seats of the chairs weren't holding properly and falling towards the ground...sometimes bringing their seated cargo with them. It was a slight comfort once one realized that they were not alone in this occurrence...but still embarrassing.Certainly worth checking out as a venue, if you are looking for a joint ceremony/reception space!"

They offer red wine flights, white wine flights, sweet wine flights and fruit wine flights for only $7.00! There's a venue to rent for events. And they have various events throughout each month such as yoga, live music, etc. They sell bottles of their wine, souvenirs and booze flavored truffles, cupcakes and other candies. The giant brick building it's in is awesome and I enjoyed looking in on the various businesses based out of this location. Workshop is no exception. I think by day they rent it out to companies for team bonding / off site - but at night it looks like it turns into a preschool. Lots of toys everywhere, color on the walls, big comfy chairs and beanbags. Probably not where you'd go to hold your next board meeting, but the sort of place where they encourage conversation and creativity. The staff was very friendly and ensured our coffee was stocked. The fridge had all you can drink soda. Our lunch was catered in (I'm assuming). The only incident I had was that the PDF / directions provided to me had the wrong address. It listed 105 E. The onions made my eyes water before I took a bite of the burger, so I quickly discarded, perhaps a bit dated. The tater tots tasted freezer burned, so I will get the fries next time, but no one at the table had hot fries or hot tater tots, kind of a threshold issue for any fried tater to taste good. I would say simplify your menu so what goes out tastes good, but the menu is already very basic. Perhaps the cook could handle a pan-fried ham and cheese sandwich, and make sure the fries are hot before sent out to customers. The hamburger appears to be the star of the show and the best I can say about it is, "it did not get me sick"."
