"La Hiro is located right near the Sakura Japanese Grocery store over in Florence. It's quite a bit of a drive, but we stopped by when I came back to town from my flight into CVG.I assumed that this place specialized in sweets since it's in the name, and so I was determined to try something out. We came in around 2:30 PM and they still had the lunch menu available, so that was a relief since usually dinner is expensive, though I'm not super knowledgeable about their menu or the differences to say the least.Generally, their dishes aren't too terribly expensive. I ordered a Tonkatsu and the SO ordered sashimi. The tonkatsu was about the size of my palm, came with sauce and a mini salad. All of it came with miso and salad. The SO's sashimi came with 3 pieces of each fish and also came with miso and salad. Just the way that my dish was presented, you could tell there was something a little bit different. The owners take a lot of time 'designing' and plating their dishes. You could really see and taste the 'homemade' love with an inkling of elegance. While the portions aren't excessive, and the prices might not be completely on point (speaking specifically to non-main kind of entrees), you are eating a meal made with a lot of heart. This is really the first time I've experienced this. The whole place bleeds of heart and you can tell that it's a restaurant where the owners had dreamed of opening it, where the husband wants to serve fresh fish, and the wife wants to make delicious and beautiful desserts.I was bummed that they didn't have the green tea cake, and even though it was late by bakery standards, they had many cakes and sweets still available. It doesn't seem like all of them are on the menu, so you I'm assuming she's always experimenting with new techniques and flavors. I opted for a raw cheesecake with a jello top with cherry blossoms, or sakura, imbedded. The dessert was so delicate yet rich. It wasn't too sweet and it wasn't heavy at all. I could have eaten the entire slice by myself! Overall, the bill came out to be about 26$ for 2 people, filling me up quite well, though leaving him a bit on the half full side, and with tip bumped that up to $30. It's not any more expensive than other legit Japanese restaurants, though I wish it were closer! I'll definitely be coming back to try some more cakes :)"
"Our neighborhood Sushi bar is the bees!!We do miss the sushi bsr being open. Since Covid, togo is the highest rate its ever been and the sushi bar is gone. The sushi is felicious and their daily deals are a steal! For someone short with extra love on their bottom like me, sitting at the sushi bar was more comfortable than the tiny but tall uncomfortable chairs and higher tables."

"Ordered a shrimp and crawfish boil for Fat Tuesday. The value was there, $41 after I added 2 eggs and 4 pieces of corn for my kids, their favorite part The highlight was the sauce. Cajun garlic butter was thick and just slightly spicy, and thickened as it cooled. It wasn't too oily.My only complaint would be that the crawfish and shrimp were definitely imported. It is to be expected as that's cheaper for the restaurant, but if there was a gulf option I would take it, even with a hefty upcharge. I could have used some sausage too, but that's probably just me being greedy.Overall, the seafood boil was good and not amazing. It's on par with Joes Crab Shack, but couldn't compete with gulf shore boils. I'll return and try something else off the menu next visit."
"Drove by this place when leaving the Center for Performing Arts at EKU on our way back to Lexington. Pleasantly surprised! My son and I had the Steak Bento box. The steak hibachi was awesome. The dumplings were cold and the California roll was marginal. My daughter ordered crab Rangoon roll, which was pretty awesome. And the wife went with the steak sushi bowl, which was equally awesome. So, overall, this place is a definite hit. We'll be back any time we're in Richmond."
"Having a dinner and movie type of night, this was my roomies choice for dinner. If you get there early enough before the dinner rush you are promptly seated. For starters, my roomie and I ordered the volcano as our alcoholic beverage of choice. One is plenty, and has tons of alcohol. For appetizers, we split a spicy tuna roll. For entrees, we both opted for the filet mignon and chicken. All entrees come with soup, salad, veggies, and fried rice. Our chef was spectacular! Cooked our meal to perfection and did an amazing job with entertaining us. The food is plenty, even though prices may seem steep. I highly recommend dining in and coming in for the experience. This place is fantastic and you will definitely be going home with a happy belly!"
"We always receive excellent service here. Servers are knowledgeable and attentive. The food is delicious and always well presented. The restaurant is modernly decorated and clean."
"Ft. Fuji is a favorite spot for many near UofL's campus. The hibachi is probably the most popular, but they also have some sushi rolls and a variety of other dishes. You can order online, call ahead, and just order in store for carry-out or dine-in. Regardless, they move pretty quickly, and you'll get to eating before you know it. I personally always get two yum yum sauces, and if I'm treating myself, I'll get a bubble tea as well (it's not my favorite, but I like it)! Parking can be a little limited over that way, and definitely don't park at the strip mall across the street. There are meters around though! It's a nice place to grab a casual but tasty lunch or dinner from!"
"Michikusa was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor was traditional yet modern, and the soft lighting created a cozy and intimate setting. But the real star of the show was the food. The spicy miso katsu ramen was out of this world. The spider roll was better than expected. The tempura sabo was just as expected. There were two shrimp and three vegatables, very perfectly battered. The sabo noodles came in a miso soup and was very hot when served. Everything I tried was absolutely delicious. The service was impeccable as well. Fast and accurate.Overall, I would highly recommend. 5 stars"
"I'm updating my previous review due to the fact that DKD has exceeded my expectations in recent years. This is absolutely one of the first places that comes to mind when visitors from out of town ask for dining recommendations. Food is a unique mix of flavors and textures. The sushi is unlike what you'll find anywhere else. The cocktail menu is on point! Watermelon kimono and the 3:10 to Yuma are especially refreshing.Service is always top notch! If you can, grab a booth on the bar side. That's the darker, more private portion. The general seating side is fine, but much brighter and open. It's great! Go!"
"This is my favorite place. I love the Volcano roll. And you can't go wrong with anything else that you would order."
"Fantastic lunch experience! Every was the best version of everything, best ramen, best rice, best noodles, best dessert, etc. So delicious! Try the Yum Yum roll! You will not be disappointed! The staff were very friendly and kind. It was definitely a fun experience and environment, especially for my kids, they have a robot waiter bring you your food. They thought it was the coolest thing!"
"3.5 stars but will round up because they seem to be a family business with friendly staff. On a recent Friday night, I decided that the kitchen was closed at our house and that sushi sounded tempting. I wanted to try somewhere new and was thrilled to see Sushi Master just down the street from us. We placed our online order and watched eagerly until it was ready for pickup. We tried a few rolls: Norton Roll, Kentucky Roll, and No 1 Roll. They all looked exquisite and fresh as we unboxed them. Across the board, we found the flavor to be underwhelming on all of the rolls. If we ordered again, we would only get the Norton Roll. It was a bit disappointing, but I would give it another try and order some spicier rolls on my own (I was limited this time since I split with my husband, who likes a spicy level negative on anything). All in all, fresh sushi in a convenient location - if a bit bland - and worth another try with some different options."

My sister's go-to place for sushi from Cincy, we order takeout and take the drive bringing everything back home. We ordered unagi/eel nigiri, two spicy tuna rolls, and a spider roll. The spicy tuna rolls were the best. It was my first time getting that roll and not having it be mushy, finely chopped tuna with spicy mayo holding it together. This roll was a strip of tuna with spicy mayo squirted down the line of it assembled like a subway sub. Cut into sushi-sized pieces, each bite was proportionate in fish-to-sauce ratio and felt incredibly fresh with the larger chunk instead of the usual paste-like filling. The only complaint I had about our order was the spider roll was incredibly salty. I didnt finish it because it was throwing off all the other goodness. I think it mightve been part of the batter potentially but wouldnt stop me from going back, maybe just not ordering that one.

I visited Oishii Sushi for a lunch date and it was a great option for lunch. They really came to our table right away, took our drink order and were very effective and efficient on getting our order in and to our table. I tried the calamari and Oishii Fried Roll. Let's start with the calamari. Very interesting as I have never had calamari in long strips, only circles. It was fine, I go back-and-forth with if I would buy it again. Their sushi is very big. Where are you? Have to take multiple bites for just one piece. The sushi with overall was good and I would definitely order again from this location.

BlueBay is our favorite take home restaurant. The cod and Catfish combos are delicious. The fish is to die for. Sides are seasoned well. Our daughter swears by the rice: she says it is the best she has ever eaten. Prices are reasonable. The staff is top notch. My takeout orders are always right. Try it; you will like it.

I absolutely love this place!! I came here with one of my my friends and we had an amazing experience. The food was absolutely delicious some of the best I've ever had. The workers were super sweet and efficient and the place has a very modern but also nice feel to it. I 100% recommend if you're in the area!!

Stopped here for lunch at the end of our vacation and would recommend! Since it was a holiday, they were only serving from their dinner menu so the portions were larger than we anticipated. I ordered the teriyaki chicken bento and my partner ordered the steak yakisoba - both were flavorful, cooked well and met our expectations. Small, but quiet restaurant. Service was a little slow at times but again, it was a holiday.

I have driven past this hard to notice little dining place. Now I'm obligated to return for lunch. Dinner was so well put together lunch has to be great and paired with a cost that my wallet will be much happier with. I have always wanted to compare fine quality sushi to what I normally get "buffet" sushi WOW the difference is amazing. The service is top notch . We tried the misawa imperial and I would have found fault with the price but the quality of everything explained the cost.

This is one of few options near University of Louisville campus that offers Asian food. I wanted to love it soooo bad, but was hardly impressed and barely finished my food. This place can get busy during lunch time with a small space for people to wait for their to-go orders. The food itself was really disappointing. I got the teriyaki chicken. The chicken was dry, flavorless, and hard to eat. The price point was not even good for a below average meal.

So glad I finally got to try Michikusa! Stopped in for lunch and ordered the salmon don and soba, both were excellent. The salmon was some of the highest quality sashimi I have ever had, the rice was perfectly cooked and well seasoned, and the soba noodles were delicious with a light and flavorful broth. The service was great and very friendly, and the restaurant is well decorated with a pleasant atmosphere. I will definitely be back to check out some of their specials!

"Love this place! My friends and I were looking for good sushi and found the mist friendly sushi place. Everything was delicious and the noodles were fantastic. Prices are really good too."
"Great food, great people, amazing service. So kind and attentive!Sushi rolls were fresh and filling. The kids loved the miso soup and chicken teriyaki."
"Service was quick and easy. Our server was friendly and helpful but didn't hover. The vibe was chill, verging on hip. The menu is pretty straightforward. Standard Ramen Shop fare done exceptionally well. You can get sushi. You can get the usual appetizers. But, this Chashu Don? It's comfort food made by someone who might actually care about me. It's a friend who loves you enough to toss something green on top but remains judgement free of the consequences of all that pork and rice in that bowl. It's the crispy charred bits and the salty, seasoned absolution you get when you're spilling out your soul while filling your belly with family that makes this dish perfect. Funny how food can make you feel like you're going to be okay. You can get that here."
"Don't let the small footprint in a strip mall fool you. This place is so good. And the staff was super friendly and helpful. The spicy tuna nachos were amazing and very filling. My husband and I ordered 4 rolls between the two of us, which is our typical practice. But we barely made a dent after finishing the spicy tuna nachos app. In the future, I will probably just get this as my entrée.They were out of my first two choices of tea. I don't remember what I ended up getting, but it was good. Hopefully next time they will have but firs choice. It's about a 40 min drive from our house, but we will absolutely be back again and again!"
"Overall this hibachi style Japanese style restaurant was really good! The food came out quickly and all tasted great. The staff was friendly and on top of it all. And the prices were pretty reasonable for how much you get too. I started off with some yummy green vegetable gyoza which were good and came with dipping sauce! For my main course I ordered the scallop hibachi dinner. It was very filling and had plenty left over to take home. To start with they bring you a tasty salad and soup, both were really good! Then the main plate was seared scallops, mixed grilled veggies and a big pile of fried rice. Also came with yum yum sauce. All of it tasted great and there was enough for 2 ppl to be honest. The atmosphere was quiet and comfortable. Great place for a date night too! Overall everything was wonderful. The only surprise was that they don't do all the fun cooking stuff in front of you like other hibachi places I've been to in the past. But tastes great and would go again when I crave this food!"
"Hidden gem off new circle rd. They have the best ramen in town, insiders tip you can get any ramen spicy if you ask. They have great lunch specials and a great dinner menu. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu."
"People really seem to love this place. I personally am not the biggest fan but I don't hate it. I know for a fact that I will never get their chicken and noodles again. It was literally just a ton of spaghetti noodles and some FRIED chicken. Made zero sense However if you get a side of teriyaki chicken for $5 it will basically fill you up anyway. So I'm not saying to not eat here. To the contrary if you like this type of food, you will probably enjoy it. It's just not really my types of place. And the prices aren't exactly cheap either."
"So this was first visit (duh, it just opened) Luckily got there pretty early (older folks with us) not many places for larger party's. But was able to sit us with two tables closer together. The menu had quite a few good options. It was very hard to choose. And will be back to try other options. What I did have Pretzels with cheese. Most excellent!!! Fried pickles. Very impressed. They were still crisp and very dill and the sauce was even tastier. I ordered the turkey avocado sandwich. (Ok I'm from ca and lived in an avocado grove. So I love avocado. ) the sandwich was good. My complaint was that I couldn't find the avocado. It was like you would spread butter. I also ordered sweet potato waffle fries. My complaint was they were cold. Everyone at our two tables had cold sweet potato fries. They were good just cold. Everyone who had regular fries had warm fries. Large drink menu Wish they had more diet options. Our wait staff was good. Wish I got our girls name. But also had extra staff probably still training."
"Yamato is a nice little Japanese and sushi place in New Albany Plaza on State Street by Kroger. I stopped in here last night for a quick solo dinner. Inside, it's small, but nice and clean. It's not fancy, but is a step up from something like a Chinese take-out. The lighting is dim and they have both tables and booths. They have a tv hanging to occupy diners, and they were also playing contemporary country music on speakers, which although a bit out of place, didn't offend this country music fan.I ordered a dinner bento box with chicken teriyaki. It came with fried rice, soup, salad, a spring roll, and four pieces of sushi (California roll). It was a lot of food. I chose onion soup instead of miso, and it was pleasant. The spring roll and chicken teriyaki were both really good. The sushi was fresh, and I had no complaints. The California roll wouldn't have been my first choice, but since it came with the bento, I didn't mind. I had over half of my food left over to take home. It will be lunch today. The service was friendly and efficient. My food came out really quick and I was in and out in no time. I even made it out before the country station could play Luke Bryan and I might lose my appetite. The location is very convenient and the prices are really good. When the price and value is considered, this place is easily earns four stars in my opinion."
"Very friendly. Sufficient parking. Very delicious and unique food right here in Owensboro. Twice been here 4x now and it's delicious every time."
"Gosh, with all these 5-star reviews, did we pick literally the worst day to come here? Don't know, as we have no interest in returning.I tried ordering what I thought would be a fresh and healthy poke bowl on lettuce. Wish I could have better seen the ingredients behind the glass, because I would have aborted that idea. The lettuce was iceberg and ironically swimming in water...I watched in dismay as the worker had to shake off the water, but not hard enough because plenty made it into my to-go box. Next up, some of the most disgusting avocado I have ever been served - more brown/gray than green (thankfully was not an extra charge). And then finished with weirdly cut sticks of onion and topped with "spicy" mayo that was somehow less spicy or flavorful than just pure mayo. At least the salmon wasn't as terrible as everything else and didn't give me any digestive issues like I feared it would, but did not warrant a return visit either. The salmon ended up being the only thing I ate from this "bowl".Service was ok, but a little slow. We received a free $10 gift card for our next visit, but even that won't have us returning (my wife's teriyaki chicken was underwhelming too). I have no idea what world we entered versus the other reviews here, but we won't chance it again."
"Some of the best food in the area. We had typically gotten it to go but dining in was a fun experience. Had some hot green tea which was nice. Sushi was a new experience for me and it was really delicious. We got the temptation rolls with spicy crab and fried shrimp. Big portions. Check this place out"
"Food was good, service was fast. I figured I'd update the menu on this review for everyone!"
"I love the food. I always order to go so I don't have to deal with the waitresses. I see in the reviews they're rough here. But, it is in Radcliff, so no surprise. The bento boxes are the best."
"I picked up takeout from Osaka for dinner, and the sushi was prepared with care and tasted very good. While there are many sushi options in Louisville, some other locations offer a better ambiance for dining in. However, since I was getting my food to go, the rundown exterior and interior did not bother me.I called in my order, and the employee who took it was kind and efficient. It took about 20 minutes for my order to be ready, which was perfectly fine. Parking was a bit tricky on a Friday night; I had to park four blocks away, but that's to be expected on a weekend. Osaka is a solid neighborhood staple."
"Always reliable good food, service and surroundings. Had a nice dinner with friends. Enjoyed my favorite healthy meal there -- seared chicken breast with steamed broccoli. My friend's rainbow roll was also delicious with shrimp tempura in it. Will be back again soon."
"They've remodeled and upped their offerings. Highly recommend the new style sashimi special. 9 pieces and you pick three different fish. We had tuna, white tuna and salmon. All super fresh and delicious. No rice. A bed of high quality lettuces with sesame ponzu dressing. Good ginger house salad. Another of my favorites is the Love Wrap also without rice so great if you prefer low carb. Chic atmosphere and friendly, quick service. Conveniently located next to Trader Joe's."
"Excellent Ramon! The sushi was good too, but my wife got the shrimp Ramon and I wished I had too. They are known for the all you can eat option, but we went during lunch and didn't try it out."
"We have been to Hokkaido many times now and have tried several of the dishes. I will say it has all been extremely tasty and of good quality! Also, the portion sizes are generous and the staff are so very friendly and welcoming and the ambiance is perfect.Do yourself a favor and try some ramen, Japanese curry or sushi. If you've never tried ramen and are on the fence about it, order the "chicken rich". It might just be the best chicken soup you'll ever taste and the chicken is thick slices of juicy chicken breast. Now my mouth is watering just thinking about it."
"I love the atmosphere and all the notices along the wall of their community service. It makes you feel good about spending your money here. My favorite times were from the Korean side of the menu, especially the oreo shaved ice"
"The setting was great for us in the south end. A nice warm winter evening with friendly staff and lots of light. However, as the west sun set we had to move to another table. I welcome the sunshine though. Now on to the food. My wife and I had a fried oyster appetizer and they were great. Fresh tasting and hot. The sauce was very complementary and I'll have to ask next time what it is.My wife got Bang Bang shrimp and loved the batter they were dipped in. I had the Spicy Ramen. The broth is made at the restaurant according to the server. The Ramen, bean sprouts, bok choy, soft boiled egg and pork all complimented each other. You can order it with regular heat, spicy or fire. I went with regular and the chili paste was garnished along the edge of the bowl. I enjoyed it, but wonder about the other heat as this was all I could take - and I love spicy."
"Oshimi is somewhat close to my house, so I was excited to try it out based on the reviews. I was feeling lazy, so ordered take out rather than dining in.The parking situation is a little bit tricky, with parking in the back. If I hadn't known this ahead of time, I would've been very frustrated trying to figure out where to park, particularly because Broadway is always packed with traffic around dinner time.Had I decided to dine in, I think it would've been a tranquil experience. The restaurant is small, but they've used the space wisely to optimize the seating availability. The employees I interacted with as I paid and picked up my take out were friendly and prompt as well. The sushi was pretty good, which I was super excited about. I am a big spicy tuna fan, so was a little disappointed because it seemed to just be tuna with spicy sauce on top, rather than all mixed together in the roll. The crunchy Alaskan roll was AMAZING, and I thought the Kentucky Signature roll was fine - the chicken was a bit dry but the flavor overall was good. The California roll was fine - nothing extraordinary at all.I will absolutely be back - there was TONS of rolls that sounded delicious and the prices were so, so reasonable. They have a lot of specials too (we got buy 3 get one roll free and the California roll for only $3 for our order), plus a Yelp coupon - check those out before you go!"
"Best sushi I've had in a while. All their rolls were fresh and made to order. The ambiance is super cute and the service is amazing. Highly recommend!"
