Everything was very delicious and very filling, I couldn't eat the pita bread the sandwich came on so I just added to my salad. Super tasty! Definitely worth coming here if you're in the area. Great Mediterranean food and the staff here was super friendly and helpful. I will return next time I'm in Richmond."

"I remember when I first moved to Louisville no one could refer me to a place to get gyro's. It became routine for me to travel back up to Chicago and have my gyro sandwich. 20 years later and I'm still looking to get my gyro fix. We were in the mall shopping and saw this location was open. The gentleman greeted us quickly and told us their special. We got gyro combo with tzaziki and on pita bread with fries. The combo came with plenty of gyro meat, which I loved. I ordered mines topped with lettuce tomato and onion. I should've had him go light on onion but I still enjoyed my gyro very much. If you'd like gyro or chicken pita stop in."

Fortunately, there was an available table in the quiet area near the bar. The drinks were passable. The food portions were huge and satisfying, but not memorable. The proteins were cooked well and the dishes were also well balanced with large portions (honestly could easily share some of the platters). The interior was clean and neat. While I got takeout there was some seating available inside for small or slightly larger groups despite the whole shop being on the smaller side. The service was incredibly friendly, helpful, and efficient. Pricing was also very fair especially when considering freshness and portion sizes. Would definitely recommend and will be returning"

I decided on doing the steak bowl with rice, tomatoes, diced cucumber, feta cheese, & black olives. Then came the big variety of sauce choices! Instead of the traditional Taziki sauce I opted to try the garlic sauce and oh my heavens it was fabulous mixed into my steak bowl! "Aladdin's is a hidden gem, tucked away in a cute little "underground" area in New Albany. Honestly if it wasn't for Yelp I don't think we would have ever came across it on our own, and that would have been a tragedy. The doors were clearly marked that there was no service, you can dine in but your food would be given to you as if it was to go. I personally love this concept, it makes for an easy getaway when I'm ready to go. You order, you pay, boom the hard parts done, there is no waiting around for the check and take out boxes at the end of your meal, love it. I will say I'm not a fan of the extra waste this method produces but that's the only down side. Alright now for what we've all been waiting for...the food. I have to start by saying HOLY MOLY! I was not expecting to get one of the best steak sandwiches of my life there, but it happened.I had the Aladdin's steak sandwich (minus the green peppers add tomatoes and lettuce) and it was perfect. It actually got better the more I ate, no diminishing returns here. The juice from the meat mixed with the mayo on the pita bread...YUM! It was great, made me wish I lived closer to New Albany. I have a feeling I'm going to be making a lot of trips over the bridge this summer. The man behind the counter (I'm assuming the owner) was extremely nice and made sure we had everything we needed. I can't wait to go back and I highly suggest you go try them out as well!"

I don't normally enjoy beef, but I would consider ordering that for myself in the future! I experience amazing flavor, texture, and variety of the food. "Stellar find in Louisville. Great smaller space, they look to only have around 20 tables so you get really great service. The staff were friendly and had great menu recommendations. I appreciated their dry January mocktails as someone who isn't a huge drinker and they paired very well with the food. Our waitress recommended the whipped feta, and it did not disappoint. So creamy and salty with that nice hit of chili crunch and the pillowy and warm pita. Fantastic. The sleeper app was the crab and jalapeño arancini-- just enough heat to warm the mouth but you could still enjoy the crab flavor. And it paired perfectly with my pineapple shrug mocktail. For mains the hubs enjoyed the duck breast. As I was having more fomo I went for their lamb meatballs (I feel like you have to get lamb a a place called the Fat Lamb!!) with a harissa-like sauce and their beet salad. Both were absolutely excellent. The hubs even split my meatballs with me they were so good. I see why this place was on the James Beard watchlist and I hope they pull out a win soon- seems well deserved!"

The guy at the counter told me that they catered at World Fest. They had torborgee when I was there which tasted amazing!My friend and I came for lunch on a Monday. Not super busy bur there were a handful of customers dining in and folks coming in to pick up to go orders.The guy at the counter suggested I tried the fried fish with dry rice. My friend got the potatoes green.Huge portions! It's shareable with at least 2 people. The rice was a ton too! My dish came with a whole fish. Maybe it was tilapia? And fried plantains and a spicy vegetable-looking mixture. I asked for it to be spicy and it was fabulous!My friend also got a ton of rice with a spinach stew. We both enjoyed the food! It reminds me of my dad's cooking. He's from West Africa so some of the dishes look and taste similar.Great prices for what you're getting too. And it's vegetarian friendly which is a plus.Staff was fantastic! Friendly and came to check on us. The owner came to our table and gave us homemade peanut brittle as well.Lots of booths inside. Not sure how busy they get but they have a decent number of tables to sit at.Parking is easy but not a ton of spots. It could fill up fast but there were always people leaving and coming. A convenience store is next door.Can't wait to come back! Probably one of my favorite spots in town now!"

This is made with marinated sliced chicken wrapped with garlic sauce, salad and pickle. And like I said, tasty. I wish there was a bit more chicken in this sandwich, but otherwise it was good. I also got a piece of pistachio baklava -- thin layers of phyllo dough stuffed with crushed pistachio topped with honey and lemon syrup. This was a large piece of baklava and such an indulgent, mid-day treat. Overall, Kebab House seems like a good place to order from. I would do so again."

First off the portion size got significantly smaller with everything that was scooped onto the lamb gyro platter, so when I finished I was more hungry than usual. The gentleman working that day was kind of callous, compared to other employees I've interacted with there, but that wasn't really a big deal. Lastly, they've added a $1 fee to credit card transactions, which was a frustrating way to cap off a sub-optimal visit.The lamb gyro meat and the rice were really good on this visit, though. The lamb was seasoned really well with a unique flavor that I really enjoyed. And both the lamb and the rice were wonderfully tender. With the changes, I'm sure I will still be back, but they're just things I will have to consider when choosing where to get my meals!"
