Olwen C. "I really like this place. The chicken was very flavorful and moist, and dipping sauces were amazing. That green sauce was killer. Yum!!! I think this is definitely my favorite of the rotisserie chicken places around KY. The chicken here is not too salty and it tastes so fresh. I will definitely be back and recommend you try it too!"

Stacy D. "Came for late dinner Friday night. There were a lot of people waiting for seats by the door but since I was by myself got a seat at the bar immediately. Got the mojo shrimp plate, it was good, not amazing. The bar didn't have that much choice for non-alcoholic drinks besides soda and jarritos. I asked if they had a chicha morada (peruvian purple corn drink) and the server has never heard of it. I've had better peruvian food in other cities, this is ok. Service was good and food arrived fast."

Tyanna M. "Decided to try Lalo during Cincinnati Burger Week. We got there a little early before they opened, 10:30 am, and were waiting in our truck in the parking spot. About a quarter til 11:00 a police car showed up and turned sideways right next to us blocking the road. Several more officers showed up and surrounded a guy that was on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. Exciting start to our day, lol. A resident said he was likely a drug dealer but who knows! So after that cleared we were able to enter Lalo. I have had a meal next door to Lalo at Hawker's Alley before and really have no issue with the neighborhood as it is a typical downtown area in a larger city. We were greeted as soon as we entered and we were told to sit where we would like. We chose a booth. She brought us a menu and silverware and ice water. They had two choices for Cincinnati Burger Week and I ordered on and my friend ordered the other. I also ordered the pork kimchi dumplings and my friend ordered the zucchini fries & sriracha aioli. Both of these starter items were delicious and next time I would definitely order the zucchini as they were so lightly battered and fried crispy, so good! Nothing wrong with my dumplings either. The burgers were hot and delicious! We also had a shot of Bulleit Bourbon to go with our meal as it was on special as well with the burger week offerings. Our waitress/bartender was great and made sure we were taken care of. We will definitely be back here again to try something else off their menu."

Brittney K. "We were lucky with fantastic patio weather and were able to enjoy the outdoors for dinner. The main negative is all the loud cars driving by but otherwise it's pleasant. My husband and I split a few dishes and everything was delicious. We had a steak tostada, ahi tuna, skirt steak with chimichurri and scallops. I would recommend any of these dishes. The service was exceptional and the manager even came by our table to see how we were doing. All in all this was such a lovely experience and we will be back."

Brian S. "Tried this place during taco week, and so glad we did! The tacos were pretty good- fresh tasting and certainly a great value during taco week. The real star was the Veloz burrito. "Served with steak, chicken, shrimp, sausage, pineapple, white rice, beans, and cheese sauce.", this burrito have great flavor and was HUGE! Loved it. Our server was super friendly, helped us confirm we were in a legit parking spot, and was great the whole time. We will be back - and we will get there in time for the 4-7 happy hour specials!"

Amanda L. "La Suerte is a hidden gem that consistently delivers on every front. This brunch spot boasts abundant outdoor seating, making it perfect for a relaxed meal in the sun. Their breakfast menu shines with standout options like the vegetarian omelet, biscuits and gravy, cornmeal pancakes, and huevos benedictos--each dish is thoughtfully crafted and packed with flavor. To pair, the Bloody Maria and margaritas are exceptional choices, adding a refreshing twist to any meal.As the day transitions to night, La Suerte's charm remains. Their ceviche, particularly the aguachile ceviche, is a must-try--fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. The service here deserves special mention: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which enhances the overall experience.Despite its many merits, La Suerte somehow avoids the overwhelming crowds that often plague great spots, making it an ideal destination any time of day. Whether you're craving a hearty brunch, a delightful dinner, or a casual drink, La Suerte never disappoints."

Emily H. "Oh my, this food brought me to a happy place. This was one of the best lunches I've had in quite some time.Mi Sueno Cuban Express -- thank you so much!I ordered delivery via the Yelp app, and my dish arrived hot. It was just *chef's kiss.*I got the ropa vieja after reading so many great reviews. This was by far the star of the dish. It was so full of flavor and fall-apart tender. It was a rather large portion, and I had planned to save some for another meal -- but that quickly became not an option after tasting it. Along with it, I got yellow rice, which was a great compliment and also full of flavor. And the maduro! These plantains were sweet and soft without being mushy. I think I was a bit food drunk after eating this. I know this review is just full of gush -- but I'm 100 percent sincere with all my praise. This. Was. Fantastic. And for $10.99, you can't beat the price. I will be back here and telling folks about this for awhile."

Flo V. "Visiting Lexington, KY, looking to have lunch. We found a Peruvian restaurant that served Rotisserie Chicken. Walking in smelled soooo good. We knew we were in for a great meal !!! Allison V, was our server.... she was great. Very friendly, attentive but not overbearing. Two notes....1) we thought the music was too loud.... It was a bit tough to hear each other when talking. (that can be easily fixed). 2) it would be nice for them to have a wine license... to at least serve Sangria!! No alcohol is available. Food was excellent !!! We ordered a full rotisserie chicken with salad & 2 sides to split. Our meal was over the top delicious !! The brine seasoning made the chicken so tender and moist. Included with our meal was a huge salad with tomatoes and cucumbers. Very fresh. We also ordered the tostones, which were thicker than we've had in other places... delicious. The sauces served with our meal were white sauce (a very tasty mayo mix with "something ", a yellow Ali pepper sauce & their jalapeño green sauce. The Ali saucei was mild, and we think the green sauce could have been spicier. All of the sauces complemented the meal quite well. Yes, highly recommended."

Dawn B. "This little restaurant is family owned and operated. Everything is made from scratch. Fresh. And very authentic. The interior in nothing fancy with a few tables donned with plastic table clothes and one tv that had a soccer game on while we were there. Everything on the menu looked delicious. And it all had meat in it but my husband improvised and asked to leave the meat out of a burrito. I went for a dish that is only served on the weekends. The fried fish. My meal was perfect. Crispy skin and flaky and tender meat. If you're picky about what your food looks like, this isn't going to be your jam. My fish was bone in, skin on and head still attached kinda fried fish. It was filling and delicious. My husband finished his vegetarian burrito and stared at my food while I ate. I offered a bite and he broke his diet to try some. And he obviously enjoyed it as he helped himself to more. I have a confession to make, I hate sharing my food but this is too good not to share. The service was a little slow but friendly. Cash only. ATMs are down the road, there isn't one at the restaurant."

Doug N. "If you want something different from this area try this place, very good for the money and filling I love the variety on the menu not all Mexican and with a central South American flair! It was my first time here today but I will be back because there's a couple more dinners I want to try. This time I had the guatamalen style meal next time I'm getting the meal inspired by South America. Oh! They even have some Puerto Rican food too. Yum!"
