"Personally- go to Juice Bar instead.Inconsistent is a great word to describe the hours and açaí. One bowl I've had as so little peanut butter, another had a large amount that I was shocked. Been 4-5 times. Smoothie had small chips of ice(not blended enough) The Last time I went - I showed up at 8:15a and waited with a couple employees (I didn't know they were employees til they opened) then walked in at 8:30 and they said we aren't ready to serve yet. I didn't have time for them to prep and left. Fantastic decor and options but seems lacking in service and consistent product."
"I was super excited for a health food smoothie bar to open in Georgetown! I mean, that's awesome. Just what we needed!! When I heard about the Wooden Straw and saw all my friends checking in on Facebook, talking about how wonderful this place was, I had high hopes.Well. I walked in and noticed immediately that everything is Herbalife. Here's the thing, as someone that has tried a variety of different health food shakes on the marketing and is actively reading labels & trying to eat healthy (mostly Paleo), I know that Herbalife is NOT one of the best ones out there. A quick look at the ingredients of the Formula 1 product (that they use for their shakes, I believe) shows a very little amount of actual nutrition or/and protein. Meh. There are also Herballife products all over the place.SO. With that in mind, I decided to push aside my bias and try a shake anyway. I mean, it has to be healthier than a Big Mac, right? (It is. I'm not arguing that.)For $6.50, you get three things: a shot of aloe, a cup of tea, and a shake! You have the option of the aloe being put in the tea, which is what I always do when I come here (yes, I've been here several times now). I usually opt for the Chai tea, but there is also green tea, raspberry tea, and another flavor available. The raspberry is good, too! I always get iced tea. I think hot tea is an option, but not entirely sure.Now. The shakes. Oh, my goodness, the chalkboard wall just has wayyyy too many options! I didn't know what to get! There are mutiple different flavor formulas that can create even more flavored shakes! Some of these include vanilla, chocolate, cafe latte, dulce de leche, pina colada, orange, just to name a few. From these, you can have chocolate cake, coconut crush, and so forth. The list goes on and on.After deliberating over what I felt like 'eating', I decided upon a lemon cake shake. They poured the powder in the water, added stuff, blended, and voila! Had a yummy-looking shake ready for me, nearly overflowing the clear, plastic cup. It tasted.... OK. Like a lemon cake. Ice cream. With lots of sugar. And some weird product after taste. Did not wow me. (Because of this, I gave them another try another day and tried a different drink which was a little bit better.) I have tried three different drinks from The Wooden Straw and am still not blown awayAn another note --- the people who work there are very friendly and happy to see you. There is no issue with service whatsoever. There is always music playing, and I believe, WiFi available. There's a bar you can sit at to enjoy your drinks or a soft couch (near a little kid's play area) to sit and relax. I like what they did with the feel of the place.Do I absolutely love Wooden Straw? Nope. I don't really like the Herballife products. But will I be back? Yes. Sometimes. Because..... these shakes may not be the healthiest, but they're definitely better than a Big Mac. And I do like trying different drink flavors. Cheers.TIP: Check in on Facebook when you're there and you get 50 cents off your drink."
"I absolutely LOVE Boba Tea -- (the drink), and always try to get one whenever I can. This time, I was in for a pleasant suprise.BobaTea is a cozy storefront located in the Greenhills Plaza. The inside was very clean and inviting, complete with tables and chairs. The menu was fairly extensive and the owner(s) made sure almost everything had a description. I ordered a Strawberry Mango Mixed Fruit and a Mango Passionfruit for my wife. I added rainbow jellies to both, by the owner's recommendation. From the first sip to the last, I was in flavorful bliss. The flavors were smooth and refreshing. The jellies added a nice variety to the drink. My wife enjoyed her drink as well.I would encourage anyone who likes Boba Tea or refreshing fruity drinks to visit here."
"Burger had very good flavor. Strawberry shake was good. Was able to get my order quickly. A little expensive but definitely worth trying out."
"I was in town on business and made plans to co-work with a teammate here for a while. It was their recommendation and I enjoyed every bit of it. Free parking, check! Cute patio, fireplace, and alcoholic drinks too, triple check! And it doesn't stop there. Service was great, wifi was strong, and food/drinks were spot on. I ordered a latte and a breakfast burrito, propped up in a corner near an electrical outlet, and got shit done. I love how big the space was and the variety and seating options. At one point I was sitting on the floor by the fireplace on my laptop and it was cozy as can be. Good vibe all around. I'll definitely be back."
"Great freshly made breakfast sandwiches are available at this local establishment. The staff is friendly. The service was fast and the premises nice and clean. The sandwich was made to order and was a nice blend of egg, muffin cheese, and meats. It is conveniently located on the main road in town. It is not too far off of the interstate, so if you did not want fast food but where traveling by you could stop in and get some breakfast. The coffee was good and the place e had plenty of parking. I plan on being back next time I am in the area."
"Ft. Fuji is a favorite spot for many near UofL's campus. The hibachi is probably the most popular, but they also have some sushi rolls and a variety of other dishes. You can order online, call ahead, and just order in store for carry-out or dine-in. Regardless, they move pretty quickly, and you'll get to eating before you know it. I personally always get two yum yum sauces, and if I'm treating myself, I'll get a bubble tea as well (it's not my favorite, but I like it)! Parking can be a little limited over that way, and definitely don't park at the strip mall across the street. There are meters around though! It's a nice place to grab a casual but tasty lunch or dinner from!"
"I highly recommend mount starlin nutrition ene and all his staff are super nice and friendly and make you feel like family each and every time you are in there. They have a large menu and I guarantee you will find something different you love each visit."
"Drove by on a rainy night in the mood for ice cream. I got a strawberry cheesecake mixer for myself and chocolate sundae for my mom . Both were really good and the employees were friendly."
"This is my favorite Ice Cream place in Kentucky!Parking is easy as they have their own lot.Prices are super cheap for what you get (lots of quality ice cream)I got the Birthday Cake Ice Cream Sprinkles!!! Frosting!!! Cake batter!!! Soooooo good!!!My friend got the crazy cookie Sunday, cookie dough ice cream, chocolate sauce, cookie topping and sprinklesThis place is a must visit if in town!"
"Had a wonderful gluten free pizza and salad to go last night. Can't wait to eat in again."
"Finally a healthy shake bar in Hamburg!! This place is super cute, fun, and has the NICEST staff (Krystal- you're amazing!). They have "fancy" protein shakes that are all very reasonable on calories, and all come with 17+g of protein. There's also protein baked goods, coffee, refresher drinks, oatmeal, etc. It's located INSIDE the YMCA but is open to the public."

Good smoothies, but inconsistent quality control. I always get the watermelon sugar smoothie and they make it differently almost every time. Half of the time, it's great and the other half of the time they overload on the dragonfruit, so it barely tastes like watermelon at all. The açaí bowls aren't the best. The ones at I Love Juice Bar are far superior. Açaí at Lueberry is often watery, and/or mostly mixed in with a lot of banana to leave a banana-y consistency instead of true açaí. The granola is soggy and stale as well. The toast is good but nothing to really write home about. The waffles are delicious but they often run out early in the day. Overall really inconsistent quality and goods. They seem to run out of ingredients/supplies frequently and then substitute with other things. Would go for the smoothies and waffles but not the açaí. Head to I Love Juice Bar for the best açaí bowls in town!

I have to say that I am starting to love this place. This is a protein/meal replacement bar. Yes a bar. You sit there when you come in and get a nice sugar free tea then you get to pick what type of shake you want from over a hundred recipes. So we all know what those diet shakes taste like from years ago. Well sit down, the owners have spices and additives that transforms the bland shake into something bold and great tasting that is actually heathy. Replace a meal for a change. You won't miss it and you will cut out some calories.

This is a great smoothie destination - it's menu is extensive! I have tried several but my favorite is the banana strawberry slushie. The decor isn't geared for friends looking for a place to sit and enjoy their drink. I have been in several times and the air conditioning is spotty - almost to the point of being uncomfortable. I really hope that they stay awhile since the only business offering cold, icy drinks went out last year. Support your local businesses and tell a friend!

Inkredible's is so unbelievably 10/10 good. All my food was tasty, hot, fresh, and eye appealing. This place is so unique and now is my favorite burger place in Louisville. That special sauce is the boss. They have a large menu to satisfy everyone. Will have to try more things on there on my many returns.Ordered online and when I got my food was ready. Top notch very friendly customer service was on display. Get on over to Dixie Hwy to get the best burgers in town.

Safai is such an under-the-radar coffee spot. This was confirmed during my most recent visit. Why am I not here more often?!?But the biggest reason for updating my review: Safai has updated its menus. Gone are the crepes! *sad face here* But in its place are now pastries from La Pana Bakery. It would take something great to make up for those crepes. La Pana is just that something. (La Pana is also at Logan Street Market, which is owned by the same owners Safai. Love that local business love and partnership between these two.)Safai also has taken out the long table in the front of the coffee shop and has added more accessible seating. And same as before, the coffee is great as well as the playlist. Safai is also a great place to work and talk to someone over a cup -- a great multi-use coffee shop. Safai is the real deal!As always, questions for readers: What is your good-for-all-things coffee spot?

This is one of few options near University of Louisville campus that offers Asian food. I wanted to love it soooo bad, but was hardly impressed and barely finished my food. This place can get busy during lunch time with a small space for people to wait for their to-go orders. The food itself was really disappointing. I got the teriyaki chicken. The chicken was dry, flavorless, and hard to eat. The price point was not even good for a below average meal.

"This is a great hidden gem. We stopped in for a dessert and had some ice cream and a mangonada. Both were very good. The I saw they had an horchata latte so of course I had to have one because I enjoy coffee and horchata. Who knew this was a thing and yes a tasty thing at that. Then I saw they have tamales on their menu and I (again) love tamales. So I got a couple to go so I can have them for breakfast. The lady running the place was very nice. I can't wait to come back and try some more!"
"Brand new Tropical Smoothie Cafe in La Grange!! Best news of the year. This place is so clean. Got a smoothie and it was perfect.Came out quick and the customer service was spot on. Go check them out for a smoothie or healthy meal!"
"Playful neighborhood ice cream and shake shop serving up fancy and creative sweets. Super friendly and engaging staff. Be sure to grab some extra napkins... True to their name they serve generously overflowing treats."
"I tried this spot. So glad I did! I ordered a bowl. I chose brown rice, salmon, broccoli, asparagus and corn and black bean. It was all made fresh. It was delish!! The staff and owner were super accommodating and full of knowledge. You order at the counter. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. The kitchen is in open view and clean. I highly recommend this as you're go to quick stop pickup."
"This Biggby is my go-to coffee spot! I live five minutes away, so it is very convenient for me! Every time I come here I am always greeted by a friendly employee in the drive thru. The drive thru is always fast and I never wait too long. Drinks are always delicious and I have yet to try all the creme freeze flavors! I'm not very fond of coffee, so I'm thankful that Biggby offers a variety of drinks that are caffeine free."
"Well there only 3 things to review at this place as it is a drive thru- appearance, customer service and quality of items served. Appeared clean. The employee was friendly at the window. However, I went for a cup of coffee while waiting at the hospital near by for a family member in surgery and to my surprise, as I took my first sip as I pulled away, the coffee was room temperature and had little to know flavor at all. Almost like drinking a room temperature thickened with creamer glass of water. Luckily I was able to resort to the hospital vending machine for another option. I'll be back I believe but I'll have a sip before I leave the window I guess."
"The menu is huge, service is great, facility is clean and it was good stuff! When you walk in they give everyone a cup of herbal tea to boost your metabolism- not bad! I ordered the peanut butter pie meal shake; the flavors were out of this world and based on their description of the ingredients it was truly a healthy choice. I was full half way through my shake and I haven't been hungry all afternoon. A great breakfast or lunch option and they were pretty quick!"
"Went on a Sunday. I don't know about you, but i like a cool breakfast on a hot summer day. Parking on street was pretty easy nearby and free. I ordered the large East market açaí bowl. Their bananas were green so she listed a bunch of alternative fruit and I sub'd raspberries and added almond butter for an extra dollar. Was excited to enjoy my açaí bowl and then stroll around the local boutiques for treasures. When mine was ready, she called me to the counter with a smile and I grabbed my yummy looking (and tasting!) bowl. Loved the crisp of the granola. The açaí mix was more like crispy ice chips than the creamy texture I'm used to but it's so hot, it was welcome. Flavor was great, not sweetened! Loaded with fruit toppings, this is well worth the money. It seems standard to have your meal packaged to go, though there are a half dozen tables inside and a couple outside to sit at if you wish. My main suggestion is to offer a different spoon to eat these. My flimsy plastic spoon felt like a mismatch for the textures and depth of the bowl (and for the quality of the food). Overall, I'd recommend this place for flavor, value, and location!"
"A great place to visit hands down! From the owners, the the employees, down to even the customers that visit, it is just an entirely great experience! The shakes and cocktails that they make is second to none! The feeling of the environment in here is just absolutely great and so cute and comforting!"
"Place is so neat, clean, and friendly.Amazing juice and smoothie selections.A lot to choose from but definitely unique and will visit again when we are in town!"
"Refreshing treat!! We came here before we did a scavenger hunt and a friend told me about how refreshing and healthy these drinks were. I picked the drink special Tropical twist and my kiddo got a gummy bear. Definitely didn't need a coffee pick me up later that day and felt hydrated during our scavenger hunt. A lot of drinks options and the girls behind the counter were super knowledgeable and helpful on drink selections. Check them out for yourself"
"I absolutely LOVE coffee queens. I had seen this place on door dash but never tried it. It's a brick and mortar drive through coffee place in the plaza next to Everest. I tried the Lorena - a latte with caramel, cinnamon and oat milk. Zoey, one of the owners, was the barista that day. She was so Incredibly friendly and wonderful, and that was such a nice start to my day. Coffee Queens has a million flavors, specials, and is not only coffee. There's Italian sodas, teas and even food. I tried the pesto, sun dried tomato and mozzarella sandwich that was absolutely delicious. It's a super cute stand with the nicest people. Definitely recommend and would come back."
"Stopped in for the first time on a Saturday afternoon. Parking seems to be tricky, unless I missed something! Regardless, I secured a spot a the gas station next door and walked into Blended. Was greeted and educated by a nice lady who gave me the run down on how it works with the aloe vera shooter and tea choice...then I went with the blueberry with lemon icing flavor on her suggestion...it was DELISH! I hadn't had breakfast, and this was my lunch, and I did not eat until 7ish after leading a tour of Cynthiana. The shake kept me rolling along so not only was it extremely tasty, it also kept me going on a warm and humid day. Great experience all around, recommended place for a tasty meal replacement shake!"
"Just had one of their amazing nutritious oatmeals to start my day right!!!!I also recommend you their yummy shakes!!! They have all kinds of flavors from you can choose, cookies and cream being my favorite!Give this place a shot next time your around Nicholasville Rd! You wont be disappointed!"
"I have tried Currito a couple of times now and it is fantastic! Everything is so fresh and delicious. I love the Bangkok Bowl which is Thai inspired but based on my visits I'd bet everything is wonderful. Everything in the bowls goes together so well to create an awesome blend of flavors id recommend to try them exactly how they're made! I also tried the chips and guacamole today and that was awesome as well the chips were so fresh and crispy and the guacamole was chunky and perfectly seasoned. I can't wait to try more things from Currito!"
"Great atmosphere, amazing coffee, and very hospitable staff too. It is a must to take time to stop here for coffee or tea and a homemade muffin or a great chicken salad sandwich."
"Charming airy space great for enjoying your coffee or lunch. Staff was nice, prices were great and the restroom was well stocked with different items you might need. Great job Bean!!!"
"Very cute space, lots of room with many tables, chairs, and couches for work or chill time. I had an iced chai latte with oat milk which was very tasty. There is also a piano in the back that a young man came and played some relaxing tunes on today. What a pleasant surprise this place was! Will be coming back and trying some pastries :)"
"What a great local place, close to campus. Whether it's acai bowls or health shakes, this place can whip it up for you. I will mention though, they are health shakes. So if you're not used to nutritional shakes or expecting a Dairy Queen shake, don't be surprised. It's not in the middle of campus, it's located across the street from DQ, which is also the old Lucky's location... almost to the corner of Red Mile. After I was given the menu run down, I decided on one of their most popular, the birthday cake flavored shake. The menu is color coded, each color group represents a different kind of protein. They gave me a delicious fruity drink while I waited. My $7 shake was whipped up in minutes and I was out the door within five minutes."
"You have to visit Lagrange protein bar soon! These shakes are TO DIE FOR. I have come here for breakfast, for lunch, for those times I just need a sweet treat. It's all good for you, low in sugar, high in protein & DELICIOUS. My favorite flavors are blueberry muffin & strawberry shortcake. But those are just a couple among probably 20 unique flavors! The service is fast, polite & conversational. A perfect start to your day."
"Only been here once. Got the white mocha with oat milk (as I do anywhere I go). It was absolutely fantastic, staff was friendly, and even though they were slammed busy, I received my drink in what seemed like record time. It couldn't have been more than 2 minutes. Just wish they had more breakfast options other than sweets."
"So I do a build your own bowl... the potatoes with spinach extra extra queso chicken and whatever I'm feeling that day. I don't know why but it's the potatoes and queso with the spinach that do it for me. I can do it with the salmon and still hits so good every time! First time ordering from this location as I usually get it from the Tinseltown location. So glad to have them on this part of town too!"
"Brand new smoothie & lunch spot in St. Matthews Station! Woman-owned & API-owned Featuring fresh pressed juices, Smoothies with frozen fruit instead of ice, and small bites."
