"La Hiro is located right near the Sakura Japanese Grocery store over in Florence. It's quite a bit of a drive, but we stopped by when I came back to town from my flight into CVG.I assumed that this place specialized in sweets since it's in the name, and so I was determined to try something out. We came in around 2:30 PM and they still had the lunch menu available, so that was a relief since usually dinner is expensive, though I'm not super knowledgeable about their menu or the differences to say the least.Generally, their dishes aren't too terribly expensive. I ordered a Tonkatsu and the SO ordered sashimi. The tonkatsu was about the size of my palm, came with sauce and a mini salad. All of it came with miso and salad. The SO's sashimi came with 3 pieces of each fish and also came with miso and salad. Just the way that my dish was presented, you could tell there was something a little bit different. The owners take a lot of time 'designing' and plating their dishes. You could really see and taste the 'homemade' love with an inkling of elegance. While the portions aren't excessive, and the prices might not be completely on point (speaking specifically to non-main kind of entrees), you are eating a meal made with a lot of heart. This is really the first time I've experienced this. The whole place bleeds of heart and you can tell that it's a restaurant where the owners had dreamed of opening it, where the husband wants to serve fresh fish, and the wife wants to make delicious and beautiful desserts.I was bummed that they didn't have the green tea cake, and even though it was late by bakery standards, they had many cakes and sweets still available. It doesn't seem like all of them are on the menu, so you I'm assuming she's always experimenting with new techniques and flavors. I opted for a raw cheesecake with a jello top with cherry blossoms, or sakura, imbedded. The dessert was so delicate yet rich. It wasn't too sweet and it wasn't heavy at all. I could have eaten the entire slice by myself! Overall, the bill came out to be about 26$ for 2 people, filling me up quite well, though leaving him a bit on the half full side, and with tip bumped that up to $30. It's not any more expensive than other legit Japanese restaurants, though I wish it were closer! I'll definitely be coming back to try some more cakes :)"
"This is been a neighborhood staple for years. Delivery, at this time, can be done by them and it's currently $1.99. Ordering through them is also less expensive, especially when using their dinner combo meals. We ordered the chicken with vegetables and the sweet-and-sour chicken. It was amazingly fresh, hot and very very tasty. One of us got the fried rice and the other got the white rice. Both were tender and delicious. We decided to add a one dollar order of Yum Yum sauce which was a perfect complement to the fried rice. Felt like I was sitting in front of a hibachi grill. Two can eat for under $20, a real bargain these days. They have a small storefront, with about six tables, that you can eat in if you choose. They are now closed every Monday. We are ready to go back with another order. In fact, possibly a group order for an upcoming celebration. How easy will that be!"

"Our neighborhood Sushi bar is the bees!!We do miss the sushi bsr being open. Since Covid, togo is the highest rate its ever been and the sushi bar is gone. The sushi is felicious and their daily deals are a steal! For someone short with extra love on their bottom like me, sitting at the sushi bar was more comfortable than the tiny but tall uncomfortable chairs and higher tables."
"This restaurant used to be known as Tokyo Dragon and was one of my favourite Asian restaurants anywhere at that point. This was my first visit under it's new name and let me tell you it was as good as ever. They have an absolutely beautiful restaurant with a huge water display with lots of fish in it. There's also lots of really awesome decor hanging around everywhere in the restaurant. While they have a full menu I really enjoy their large buffet with my favourite part specifically being the hibachi grill. I love getting shrimp, crab, and scallops then loading them with the hottest spices that they have available on the bar. Then the chef cooks it all in soy sauce and a freaking fantastic dish is born. The buffet has everything from General Tso's Chicken to a really good black pepper chicken. There's also lots veggies, a full fruit and salad bar, a dessert bar, and a few different sushi options which I really liked. There's other things too and there really is something for everyone here. This is all super high quality and super delicious food and I highly recommend this awesome Asian gem in Alexandria."
"Drove by this place when leaving the Center for Performing Arts at EKU on our way back to Lexington. Pleasantly surprised! My son and I had the Steak Bento box. The steak hibachi was awesome. The dumplings were cold and the California roll was marginal. My daughter ordered crab Rangoon roll, which was pretty awesome. And the wife went with the steak sushi bowl, which was equally awesome. So, overall, this place is a definite hit. We'll be back any time we're in Richmond."
"My review is based solely on sushi, as it is all we ordered. It was really good. The price was on par with other places in etown, but the portions were way better. We ordered at least 6 different rolls including some containing raw fish. All were very good and the raw fish tasted fresh. I would highly recommend the black dragon roll."
"Having a dinner and movie type of night, this was my roomies choice for dinner. If you get there early enough before the dinner rush you are promptly seated. For starters, my roomie and I ordered the volcano as our alcoholic beverage of choice. One is plenty, and has tons of alcohol. For appetizers, we split a spicy tuna roll. For entrees, we both opted for the filet mignon and chicken. All entrees come with soup, salad, veggies, and fried rice. Our chef was spectacular! Cooked our meal to perfection and did an amazing job with entertaining us. The food is plenty, even though prices may seem steep. I highly recommend dining in and coming in for the experience. This place is fantastic and you will definitely be going home with a happy belly!"
"We go this as takeout a while back. It was pretty good. Lots of flavor but a little greasy but what you would expect from a tepenyaki grill."
"We always receive excellent service here. Servers are knowledgeable and attentive. The food is delicious and always well presented. The restaurant is modernly decorated and clean."
"Ft. Fuji is a favorite spot for many near UofL's campus. The hibachi is probably the most popular, but they also have some sushi rolls and a variety of other dishes. You can order online, call ahead, and just order in store for carry-out or dine-in. Regardless, they move pretty quickly, and you'll get to eating before you know it. I personally always get two yum yum sauces, and if I'm treating myself, I'll get a bubble tea as well (it's not my favorite, but I like it)! Parking can be a little limited over that way, and definitely don't park at the strip mall across the street. There are meters around though! It's a nice place to grab a casual but tasty lunch or dinner from!"
"Michikusa was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor was traditional yet modern, and the soft lighting created a cozy and intimate setting. But the real star of the show was the food. The spicy miso katsu ramen was out of this world. The spider roll was better than expected. The tempura sabo was just as expected. There were two shrimp and three vegatables, very perfectly battered. The sabo noodles came in a miso soup and was very hot when served. Everything I tried was absolutely delicious. The service was impeccable as well. Fast and accurate.Overall, I would highly recommend. 5 stars"
"I'm updating my previous review due to the fact that DKD has exceeded my expectations in recent years. This is absolutely one of the first places that comes to mind when visitors from out of town ask for dining recommendations. Food is a unique mix of flavors and textures. The sushi is unlike what you'll find anywhere else. The cocktail menu is on point! Watermelon kimono and the 3:10 to Yuma are especially refreshing.Service is always top notch! If you can, grab a booth on the bar side. That's the darker, more private portion. The general seating side is fine, but much brighter and open. It's great! Go!"

My sister's go-to place for sushi from Cincy, we order takeout and take the drive bringing everything back home. We ordered unagi/eel nigiri, two spicy tuna rolls, and a spider roll. The spicy tuna rolls were the best. It was my first time getting that roll and not having it be mushy, finely chopped tuna with spicy mayo holding it together. This roll was a strip of tuna with spicy mayo squirted down the line of it assembled like a subway sub. Cut into sushi-sized pieces, each bite was proportionate in fish-to-sauce ratio and felt incredibly fresh with the larger chunk instead of the usual paste-like filling. The only complaint I had about our order was the spider roll was incredibly salty. I didnt finish it because it was throwing off all the other goodness. I think it mightve been part of the batter potentially but wouldnt stop me from going back, maybe just not ordering that one.

Dece Chinese for the price. Carry out takes 10-15 minutes. Recommend the C-24: Mongolian Beef Entree. Only $8.45 and you get rice plus an egg roll.

I visited Oishii Sushi for a lunch date and it was a great option for lunch. They really came to our table right away, took our drink order and were very effective and efficient on getting our order in and to our table. I tried the calamari and Oishii Fried Roll. Let's start with the calamari. Very interesting as I have never had calamari in long strips, only circles. It was fine, I go back-and-forth with if I would buy it again. Their sushi is very big. Where are you? Have to take multiple bites for just one piece. The sushi with overall was good and I would definitely order again from this location.

Definitely like this buffet better then the first one we tried around the area. Nice sushi collection and everything was filled up. Service was great and price is fair. The overall facility is a bit dark and damp but, not terrible.

No longer have to drive to Elizabethtown to get some decent Hibachi or seafood. Decided to try Crab party and I don't regret it. I placed an order online for pickup (simple, quick and easy). Arrived and was greeting upon entry. This restaurant has a 100% on it's inspection and is super clean inside. Ok let's get to the good stuff the food! I ordered a Philadelphia roll-5.95 and Hibachi steak meal -17.99. The total came to 27.91 with the tip(optional). The steak was tender , vegetables delicious and rice was just right. The only thing I would change is the consistency of the spicy mayo sauce . It was a little thick so I added a splash of water to mine. I think this place refers to its yum yum sauce as spicy mayo but none-the-less the food was great. I'll be back next week to try the seafood bags and will keep y'all posted.Went back during a weekend and it took roughly 10 min to be greeted. I let the host know that I was there for a pick-up. That was placed at 5:03 pm and I arrived 540pm and they said it would be thirty minutes. I didn't leave with my order until 624pm

Stopped here for lunch at the end of our vacation and would recommend! Since it was a holiday, they were only serving from their dinner menu so the portions were larger than we anticipated. I ordered the teriyaki chicken bento and my partner ordered the steak yakisoba - both were flavorful, cooked well and met our expectations. Small, but quiet restaurant. Service was a little slow at times but again, it was a holiday.

"This is my favorite place. I love the Volcano roll. And you can't go wrong with anything else that you would order."
"Fantastic lunch experience! Every was the best version of everything, best ramen, best rice, best noodles, best dessert, etc. So delicious! Try the Yum Yum roll! You will not be disappointed! The staff were very friendly and kind. It was definitely a fun experience and environment, especially for my kids, they have a robot waiter bring you your food. They thought it was the coolest thing!"
"Always will get a good deal with a generous portion and delicious taste. Tsunami is rarely crowded but seems to do good business. If you're ever worried about wait times else where, give this place a try. Fantastic for families!! The restaurant is usually quiet and the staff friendly."
"Love this place! My friends and I were looking for good sushi and found the mist friendly sushi place. Everything was delicious and the noodles were fantastic. Prices are really good too."
"Great food options and taste. Kids menu was awesome as it was a big portion and flavor. Service was fast as you order at the counter as you don't have an option for a server table side. The ambiance was nice large space with multiple seats and booths. I was expecting hibachi cooking in-front if you but that is definitely not the case it's all made behind in the back of the house. Everything tasted great and had nice portion sizes. I would recommend coming here and would dine here again if I was in the area."
"Don't let the small footprint in a strip mall fool you. This place is so good. And the staff was super friendly and helpful. The spicy tuna nachos were amazing and very filling. My husband and I ordered 4 rolls between the two of us, which is our typical practice. But we barely made a dent after finishing the spicy tuna nachos app. In the future, I will probably just get this as my entrée.They were out of my first two choices of tea. I don't remember what I ended up getting, but it was good. Hopefully next time they will have but firs choice. It's about a 40 min drive from our house, but we will absolutely be back again and again!"
"Love the chicken on a stick and won ton soup! Delivery is on time and my orders are accurate. Food is hot and portions are adequate. Friendly staff"
"I have been to several other locations and this one is by far the BEST! The service is always A1 and the food is so appetizing. It reminds me of a hole in the wall due to its location but you CANNOT find better Asian food in Berea. This is my go to for special occasions and especially if friends come to visit and want to eat somewhere that offers a calming ambience. Their sushi quality is always top notch and their yakisoba filet is a favorite! Flavored sake only sweetens the deal. Quick tip, I usually order a box of fried rice to go and add it to meals throughout the week for meal prep! Lastly please tip your hibachi and sushi chefs they work so hard to provide the best quality of meals."
"Im my neighborhood, so I decided to try Kyoto. Small and very casual. You order at the counter, and they bring your food to your table. I ordered the Crazy Spicy Poke Bowl. At first glance it appeared small, but halfway through it I was filling up. Surprised at the amount of tuna and salmon. The cold crisp mango and cucumber cooled the heat. It's a good spot for a quick lunch. Friendly staff.49"
"I'm not a huge hibachi fan, but this place changed my mind. If you go in expecting a Benihana style show, you'll be disappointed, but if you're looking for a great meal, this is it. Service was consistent, though a little slow. It was ok for me because I enjoyed the delicious cocktails (try the Cherry Blossom Lemonade) while we waited. Appetizers were good, but the star was the main course, particularly the rice. Omg, straight buttery goodness and cooked to perfection. Asian flare inspired the decor and there are movies playing to keep you entertained. They do take reservations and I suggest you make one since it was a little crowded even on a Thursday. Definitely worth a try!"
"Good spot to stop at for some cheap food if you're really hungry. Tasted great but the variety isn't too wide. Dessert was even less of a choice. Management could be a tad less micro-managy but other than that was good. Really weird to do a buffet during Covid though, so if you haven't done that yet, be prepared to be served and try to communicate your requests to the staff. Communication with them was a bit tough, possibly due to language restrictions. All in all a great value spot."
"People really seem to love this place. I personally am not the biggest fan but I don't hate it. I know for a fact that I will never get their chicken and noodles again. It was literally just a ton of spaghetti noodles and some FRIED chicken. Made zero sense However if you get a side of teriyaki chicken for $5 it will basically fill you up anyway. So I'm not saying to not eat here. To the contrary if you like this type of food, you will probably enjoy it. It's just not really my types of place. And the prices aren't exactly cheap either."
"Yamato is a nice little Japanese and sushi place in New Albany Plaza on State Street by Kroger. I stopped in here last night for a quick solo dinner. Inside, it's small, but nice and clean. It's not fancy, but is a step up from something like a Chinese take-out. The lighting is dim and they have both tables and booths. They have a tv hanging to occupy diners, and they were also playing contemporary country music on speakers, which although a bit out of place, didn't offend this country music fan.I ordered a dinner bento box with chicken teriyaki. It came with fried rice, soup, salad, a spring roll, and four pieces of sushi (California roll). It was a lot of food. I chose onion soup instead of miso, and it was pleasant. The spring roll and chicken teriyaki were both really good. The sushi was fresh, and I had no complaints. The California roll wouldn't have been my first choice, but since it came with the bento, I didn't mind. I had over half of my food left over to take home. It will be lunch today. The service was friendly and efficient. My food came out really quick and I was in and out in no time. I even made it out before the country station could play Luke Bryan and I might lose my appetite. The location is very convenient and the prices are really good. When the price and value is considered, this place is easily earns four stars in my opinion."
"Very friendly. Sufficient parking. Very delicious and unique food right here in Owensboro. Twice been here 4x now and it's delicious every time."
"Since moving here from California we've been looking for good or even great sushi. We came here to check out their sushi bar. I noticed right away that it was quite warm inside, even a little uncomfortable. If you're headed here, I'd suggest you dress accordingly. As for the sushi, it was good! Jason, the sushi chef, is very personable and makes the best sushi we've had since we've been in Cincinnati. The beer was cold & the margarita was prepared quickly, which stands out to me, as many times there's a considerable wait when I order mixed drinks at restaurants. Our server kept up on our drinks, sides, and had a sweet demeanor. I'd recommend Sakura for sure!"
"The food was very tasty, fresh & hot. The service was great! Very friendly! Don't let the location fool you. It's a small business next to a gas station. There are a couple table benches to eat at..but to go & drive through we're busy the entire time we we're here."
"Some of the best food in the area. We had typically gotten it to go but dining in was a fun experience. Had some hot green tea which was nice. Sushi was a new experience for me and it was really delicious. We got the temptation rolls with spicy crab and fried shrimp. Big portions. Check this place out"
"I love the food. I always order to go so I don't have to deal with the waitresses. I see in the reviews they're rough here. But, it is in Radcliff, so no surprise. The bento boxes are the best."
"This place is an Owensboro Asian secret. Love the food here. Prices are great. I get hibachi vegetables and they are as good as any I've had. It's in a strip mall, which is stereotypical to not being good, but do not be fooled."
"I picked up takeout from Osaka for dinner, and the sushi was prepared with care and tasted very good. While there are many sushi options in Louisville, some other locations offer a better ambiance for dining in. However, since I was getting my food to go, the rundown exterior and interior did not bother me.I called in my order, and the employee who took it was kind and efficient. It took about 20 minutes for my order to be ready, which was perfectly fine. Parking was a bit tricky on a Friday night; I had to park four blocks away, but that's to be expected on a weekend. Osaka is a solid neighborhood staple."
"I've been here twice now. Once solo and once work a group of 5. Since I won't be returning, it's time for a review. My first visit, I sat at the bar and had great service from the bartender and my server. The food was tasty for the most part (frog leg skewers were the best, cheesecake was weak) and my cocktail was tasty. It was a bit pricey, but overall maybe 3.5-4*.However, my second visit was very different. With a group, we had to wait until everyone was present to be seated, even though the table was just sitting empty. Fine. We waited outside because there was no space inside to wait. Once everyone arrived, we were seated. The server quickly rattled off menu things, including what they were out of and the specials. We then looked over the menu, and had to flag our server down to get questions answered. Eventually, three members of the party ordered drinks. One of them had some interesting foam on top, but the server didn't know what it was and didn't help us in answering the question by asking someone else.We ordered a "side" dish and a "main" dish each. One person was served. Then, several minutes later, a few more "main" dishes were brought out. A few more minutes later, some "sides" brought out. For 4 of our party. The last person didn't get her food until at least 15-20 minutes after the rest of us and we had to ask about it. Even then, they brought the "main" a few minutes before the "side". I should add, the "side" was a bowl of rice! Needless to say, service was not impressive this time. I was quite annoyed, as was the rest of my party. I got the potato salad and the mushroom yakisoba bowl. The potato salad was.... ok. One of the better dishes of the night, but very rich with mayo and a slightly fake bacon flavor. Also, not the easiest to eat with chopsticks (we were not offered forks, although we eventually asked for two of them). The yakisoba was also OK. A bit salty for me, but decent. Not worth the price for either though. My cocktail was also just OK this time around. At the end of our meal, it was clear that we were not welcomed to linger and chat either.I should say, the interior is very very well decorated. The mix of wood, plants, and glass comes together beautifully. However, the acoustics are horrible. We could hardly hear and struggled to carry on a conversation.Second visit was 2*.Overall, I'll give them 3*, but I won't be recommending or returning."
"They've remodeled and upped their offerings. Highly recommend the new style sashimi special. 9 pieces and you pick three different fish. We had tuna, white tuna and salmon. All super fresh and delicious. No rice. A bed of high quality lettuces with sesame ponzu dressing. Good ginger house salad. Another of my favorites is the Love Wrap also without rice so great if you prefer low carb. Chic atmosphere and friendly, quick service. Conveniently located next to Trader Joe's."
"Excellent Ramon! The sushi was good too, but my wife got the shrimp Ramon and I wished I had too. They are known for the all you can eat option, but we went during lunch and didn't try it out."
