"I'm standing in an Amish store writing a review on my iPhone. I feel like such a rebel. If you need cheddar cheese powder, cumin, curry and lard based goat milk soap made in the local creek, you can't beat this place. Would have given them three stars, but they earned an extra star for having horehound candy.UPDATE: When I went to post this review, I saw that I had No Service! I guess they have ways to handle rebels like me."
"Love coming here to find deals on grocery to miscellaneous items. My friends and family told me about this place. Quick and easy location off Dixie hwy going to Glendale, KY. Spacious parking lot with of course handicap accessible. Shopping carts and 2 different size of baskets. They do have boxes available if needed and regular plastic bags at check out. The store isn't huge buts great size, clean and spacious aisle. Everything is sorted and put in a order like juice aisle, baking needs and so forth. The staff is always friendly and quick at Checkout."
"As far as I know, Main Express in Oak Hill is the only place in town where you can buy Jackson County Veals, and that makes it five stars right there. They sell them fresh in the deli case and frozen in packs of ten if you ask. Paired with a bottle of Ski and some Herr's potato chips, you have the makings of a fantastic southern Ohio dinner. As for the rest of the things in the deli case, the sandwiches are made daily so you never end up with soggy bread. Try the chicken salad or the ham salad and you'll be glad you did. It's some of the best I've tasted."
"Jared is the nicest guy, great selection of necessities, and the sandwiches are KILLER. A gem for the neighborhood."
"Small gas/grocery location located kind out in the middle of nowhere in taylorsville. My job sometimes takes me out this way and they always have pretty reasonable gas and sometimes if I'm hungry I'll go inside the mini mart and grab a goodie or snack to hold me over. Cleanliness is hit or miss and the workers for the most part are pretty nice and pleasant which is expected on most small town country markets."
"I don't like this place I always want to try to go to this place because it's about 30 seconds closer than Kroger and Kroger is always so much more crowded. Value market does not have more value than Kroger I went in there and milk was like $5 a gallon Kroger at over 249 and it was crowded they don't have a Kroger Plus Card value card let you know what I don't even want that on numerous occasions every single time the only reason to go here as for the five for 20 meat sale or whatever it is they caught it besides that drive across Bardstown Road go to that Kroger it's only 30 seconds away and their values are much better than the value market"
"This is my second trip here. The best food in Shelby Co.There bucket is very good too.Every day has a different special...."
"Wow, this grocery store has expensive produce. Almost $7 for a thing of strawberries, when strawberries are in season? Ay dios mio!Other people are saying that this is the only grocery store around for at least 20 miles, so maybe that's why they have jacked up the prices. I don't know anything about that. All I know is that it's the closest grocery store to the cabin that we're staying in, and so this is the grocery store we visited to get dinner and beer. They do carry an OK selection of beer, but their dinner offerings are lacking. This is a very basic grocery store, with very basic things. You won't find gourmet or organic groceries here. I looked for some Annie's mac and cheese, and no -- no Annie's. I had to make do with Stouffer's. I know I am sounding really bougie right now, but seriously: you're not going to find your usual stuff here. (Unless, like I said, your usual stuff is Stouffer's. Then in that case: You're in luck!)Anyway, this grocery store also carries a large selection of touristy stuff, like themed t-shirts, sunscreen and outdoor toys and equipment."
"LOVE the guacamole at Super Mercado. It's so fresh and an easy pick up for a tailgate or party you're going to. you may have to ask for someone to get it behind the counter for you. They have a lot of meats and other grocery items. They are always super friendly and can find what you need."
"Just a quarter mile off of the well known path of Lewis and Clark Pkwy sits this relatively new place called El Mercadito. I've been here twice now and finally added this business into our lovely Yelp world. This place is a "Panaderia", a "Carniceria", and a "tienda"..essentially an all in one grocery store but filled with a lot of neat Mexican things. You can find Pinatas here, you can find Mexican Candy, Mexican sweet bread, and pretty much everything else you can eat or decorate with- with a Mexican brand name. You can find all the aisles with enough room to walk through without feeling cramped. Everything appears clean and organized. The employees there have been friendly and helpful in assisting me find something specific both times I have been there. This place is a bit hidden- it's on Eastern Blvd but deep within a large lot. Find it and give this place a try for some great Chorizo or sweet bread!"
"It's not fancy, but the food is better than average for this type of joint."
"I'd say the only convenient place to come for groceries as there seems none around or within driving distance. The pricing is affordable compared to other cities. The options might be kind of limited and local branded. And that's why pricing is affordable. I'd say since no other options are available, this is what you get and no complains allowed -_-"

Just an ordinary little market/ gas station in the country. Its a little small and outdated for 2019 so thats why i'm giving it 3 stars. And they have fire wood for sale outside which is awesome, however it is very expensive for it.

Take a day trip to Bahgdad and visit this upscale quaint family owned eatery. You can tell the town and the owners take great pride in this spot, the place is decorated with framed original signage, family history and newspaper articles raving about the place. They have daily specials with choices of sides and staples like burgers and BBQ i chose the "famous" burger confidently as it has been voted best burger in the county. I support that decision! So juicy and so flavorful! It's an old time country store with a solid menu that you can tell are handed down family recipes. The service was so personal and helpful, which made the experience even better! We looked over other guests plates as we walked through and everything looked amazing. I got the coonhunters cake and an M&M cookie and goodness it's so good. I will 100% make the 2 hour drive just for lunch and bring my friends!

Just now leaving the store after I had shopped , got up to the register and realized that I forgot my wallet at home ! . The checker said she would hold my items for me. I went home , got my wallet and returned. I had some cold products in my basket and they had stored it all in the walk in cooler ! That was very considerate of them ! It only took me 10 minutes to go and get back , but they didn't know. I was very close to my house.

"La Rosita has the best, most authentic tacos in Louisville. Everything here is good. The chicken is delicious and juicy and perfect in their tacos, burritos, and tortas. I'm here once a week--it's that good. The staff is very friendly and efficient. They have an open kitchen, so you can watch your food being prepared and if you so choose."
"If you love Asian food, this is the store for you. Not only does it have a wide range of dry goods - noodles, spices, oils, sauces, ramen, and vegetables; they also have fresh and frozen items as well. If you've ever purchased an Asian grocery item as your local grocer, you know you pay premium prices for a small amount. Here, they sell whatever you need at a reasonable price. For example, we needed whole Star Anise. First try to find it at your chain store grocer but if you could a little bag would be $6-8 bucks. Here, we got a pretty large bag for just over $3. I love that there is such an Asian market presence here and will continue to shop at the Asian food store."
"This is a good Asian market. It has a variety of products but leans more Korean. You will find a good selection of produce and a excellent selection of kimchi with a lot of different varieties here; quite a few prepared Korean side dishes; an array of snack foods; and plenty of your staples (noodles, soy sauces, dried beans/mushrooms, rice, flours); etc. They also have a few beauty products and a selection of housewares. If you are looking for a good Asian market, make sure to check them out."
"Quite a market and butcher for Middle Eastern products. Neatly organized shelves. I went specifically for Merguez sausage for a recipe I planned to make. The gentleman maning the meat counter was very friendly. I can definitely see myself returning to Sam's.69"
"It's cute! Nice to have another store that sells local produce. They are a bit pricey but if you want local meats and such, they have it.I came for the pressed juices. They had a few discounted and some full price. I bought maybe almost all the flavors they had sitting out. Delicious and refreshing! The calories are a bit higher than other juices I've tried. Not sure if they add sugar to it. But it's still pretty good. Prices were as expected.I got the turkey pesto sandwich to try as well. Not bad. Good flavors but too much bread.I wanted to try their coffee but didn't know exactly how to find the outdoor window. It was rainy so I tried to do drive thru but it turned out to be closed. For a weekday, it wasn't busy. A few customers inside. Parking was easy to find out front but I realized they have more parking at the back.I'm sure I'll be back!"
"J & N Grocery is awesome! My cousin told me about this spot, because she had driven by here but never stopped in, so we decided to go and check it out for a quick grab-and-go breakfast. We're so glad we did, because it's really neat, and the staff are extremely friendly! We both opted for the Country Ham Biscuit, but the rest of the menu looks awesome too. We'll definitely be back to try more of it!The store itself offers some snacks and drinks, as well as lots of antiques. It's definitely a cool spot to stop in and walk through, if only to check out the old stuff and grab a quick snack. The staff were quick and friendly. We even got to meet the little store dog and feed her a treat. She's so sweet! If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping into J & N Grocery! It's a great spot!"
"As a co-op, this place has an ownership system rather than membership. I was hoping to be convinced that it would be worth the substantial price to buy in, but I really wasn't. My assumption would be that a place like this would be the best for local items and niche health foods. The balance was more towards the former than the latter, though their cafe might be good.Notably, their selection of hummus was much smaller than their selection of beer cheese. Does anyone in Lexington eat hummus? If so, please let me know where to get some. This place had some alternative milks and tofu, but nothing distinctive or local and nothing that would really compete with a big box health food store. They did however have plenty of Ale-8. I will say that the fresh vegetable selection looked nice, they had a good bulk foods section, and they have a decent sized store overall, but some of their weaknesses just puzzled me.From my perspective, it's good enough to occasionally stop in and hunt for a deal, but not good enough to buy in and do all my shopping here."
"Hidden gem.Great authentic Mexican "fast food". Ordered the tacos - both Pollo and Chorizo ($2 each) - and they were freshly prepared and tasted fantastic. Unique selection of soft drinks. The table sauces were a great compliment to the tacos. No frills kind of place - which makes for a great lunch spot."
"Delicious tacos - had the beef tongue, the al pastor (pork) & the asada. And flan for dessert. Six tacos, chips, guacamole, two drinks & a flan for $17!! Amazing."
"They built this Menards out by the house a few months back Covid finally let them open and we are off to the races so I visited just check out everything at Menards hags I've never been in a one So I bought a few items for the house to fix it up prices are pretty decent service is decent it's a good place I'm sure they'll do well."
"I love this place ,you can always find a bargain while shopping, great wholesale prices, fresh and frozen items also. The have great pices on makeup hair and beauty products. Take your time and look also they are a member of fivestsr app.to get extra savings"
"Keim Family Market has all the goodies! Although the sign by the main road says Yoders, GPS says Keim.I took a spring drive with my parents on my recent visit to Ohio. It was about an hour from their house. Keim's sells Amish made furniture (indoor and outdoor). And they had a bakery, deli and lots of food items such as jelly, candy, sauces, pickled items and much more! From the bakery we purchased a half dozen of their huge donuts, cinnamon buns, peanut butter cookies and chocolate nut fudge. From the grocery store my Dad purchased a large jar of apple butter. And from the deli we ordered a Kahns bologna, Italian and chicken salad sandwiches. My fav was the chocolate glazed cream filled donut! Don't get me wrong, it was all delish!I had the Italian on herb bread and it was huge! I ate half for lunch and saved the rest for dinner. My parents did the same. And the ingredients were super fresh right down to the bread. I would absolutely recommend trying a sandwhich! I'll be back on my next visit this summer!"
"Nothing is more American than a quaint small town country store. Unless it's a quaint small town country store with a cafe. Stop by for a real piece of American culture. And have a home cooked country breakfast or lunch. This is not a white linen table cloth style place. You make your order at the counter and pick you spot out of a small area with tables in the front of the store. And be greeted by the very personable locals. And be served perfectly cooked eggs, fresh homage biscuits and if your lucky pork tenderloin grilled to perfection on the flat top."
"WOW. This is some of my favorite Hispanic food EVER. It's quite a gem in Bowling Green. If I'm being specific, this is an El Salvadorian restaurant though to many it may seem like just ambiguous "Mexican" at first. Once you try the food, you know something's different because it's just so so good. The first time I went, I got two chicken tacos and queso/chips. The tacos were small (authentic) and the tortilla tasted fresh and made from scratch aka delicious! The queso was everything you could possibly want from a warm bowl of cheese. The chips were very obviously fresh from the fryer and are the best tortilla chips I've ever had. I haven't tried the salsa yet but I bet it's worth it! The service has been great, too. The lady usually working the register is very helpful trying to pick out what you'd like (the menu can be a little confusing) and she is very patient! Overall, this place really is a gem. If you live in town or are just passing through, don't let the exterior turn you off! It's worth a stop in and you will love it, I promise!"
"First visit to this Valu Market location and it was fine except for the fact that they had no fresh mozzarella in the entire store which I thought was weird but maybe everybody is making Caprese Salad this week? The store has ample parking. It is a large and clean store. The staff members that I talked to kept trying to send me to the sliced cheese section when I knew the fresh mozzarella should be located in the deli area. I picked up a few odds and ends. What changed my cheese disappointment to happiness was the fact that they had luscious cuts of filet mignon for $10.99 per lb!!!!! Bingo!!! That's what's for supper tonight! My Valu Market go to is the Bardstown Road location but I wouldn't hesitate to stop back at this location if in the area."
"We aren't WalMart shoppers as a rule but this is the WalMart Neighborhood Market and they're usually ok, or should I say not as bad...This is a new store, well stocked, neat and clean. Produce looked pretty good and an employee actually smiled and said hello. It's the best grocery store between Fort Knox and Kroger in Elizabethtown so thumbs up for that!Hopefully it won't get trashy like the other stores around here tend to get."
"I finally got to try Frank's after many years of it being on my list to try. I went in about 11 AM the day. It was very small on the inside. I was pretty surprised. I went to the counter. I ordered a medium chili it was four dollars and some change. I got my chili went over and waited in line for a little bit. The lady gave me a spoon and some crackers and I went outside and eat my chili. It was overall pretty good and I would go back."
"The daily Mexican buffet here is marvelous. As authentic as it gets around here, and you get to eat with all the horse people. Pretty much unknown if you're not in the horse industry, but everyone there knows it for sure."
"Affectionately known (at least around the law school) as Dirty Phil's, this little hole in the wall has dingy, outdated decor. But the food is great if you want a quick, diner-style, home-cooked meal!I can't even count the grilled cheeses and fries that I ate here during law school. It only really loses a star because I always forget that the fries have zero flavor if you forget to salt them or grab some ketchup packets. Oh, the misery of plain, unsalted fries! How could I have forgotten the salt?Still, some small part of my eventual coronary will be due to Phil's and it holds a special place in my heart as a result. For the uninitiated: order at the counter in the small dining area at the very rear of the restaurant. Then wait for your food to be called out. Take it to the register in the middle of the store, tell the cashier what you got and pay. (Strange to encounter a "fast food" place where you pay after you get your food, but that's the type of old school joint that is Phil's.)Two tips: try the fried bologna sandwich, and don't call it Dirty Phil's while you're inside! (That's rude, even if that's how everyone knows the place.)"
"Kentucky's countryside is beautiful. Just like the poets say, Kentucky is nothing but endless blue grass, winding white fences and 10 foot bales of hay dotting the landscape. However, when Maker's Mark has worked its magic on you and a satisfying lunch becomes a necessity, look no further than Kountry Kupboard. Locals recommended it, and touristy foodies agree: it is a find. If you ever doubt the Amish, come check this place out. Delicious bulk foods pack the shelves in convenient well labeled baggies. Everything from sesame sticks to celery salt, the Kupboard is chock full of goodies. Their cranberry pumpkin seed mix delighted my belly and sated all snack hankerings throughout the long weekend. And the newly installed soft serve cooled our baked city brains and left us feelin' just fine. And then the sandwiches... Two words: weighty and cheap. All sandwiches weighed about a pound... seriously. And they were all under $4!!! I was with a group of guys known for their eating skills and only ONE could finish his sandwich. It was shocking. My veggie sandwich was just as weighty as the roast beef and was only $3... Yes, $3.Don't you dare go to Subway when you can grab a sandwich here."
"This store is pretty new and you can tell. It's a little cluttered but they really just have a ton of product in a space not quite big enough. Lots of random items plus staple items. They also have a decent cold section with a limited beer selection. They accept paypal thru NFC and the staff has always been pleasent. I'll continue to visit as it is right in the same area I have occasional business. You never know what you will find but like any dollar store you can walk in with $20 and leave with a decent amount of product. Dollar general would get 5/5 if they accept android pay, I'll ignore the clutter and lack of space as the service makes up for that. But an.pay would be nice that's all I'm saying. But they do have plenty of parking and it's in a nice area you don't have to worry about car theft as much. Really it's a pretty cool shop. 4/5"
"I'm a full on regular here. This is my Mexican market, and I doubt that will change. Just haven't seen any others quite as good... ( in Kentucky ) at least. There's some good deals on house made cheeses and cheaper cuts of meat. The bread and pastries are legit. It's lacking some love in produce which makes me have to stop elsewhere which can get annoying... Oh well. The people are friendly for the most part, just really quiet. Needs some more shelf tags too lol... It all comes with the territory though. I'll be back, often!"
"This is a fantastic Whole Foods. It has everything a typical WF has but also a tap room for beers and games as well as a patio for some fresh air when the weather is nice. Nice spot to hang out after work or weekends."
