"The best donuts in town. They are oddly heavy to the touch but fluffy you eat them. My absolute fav!"
"I ventured into Plehn's recently to get some cupcakes to celebrate my daughter's birthday with family, and Plehn's was just perfect for this.First, it celebrated its 100th birthday this year. How cool is that!?!?And it's clear when you step in that it has accumulated a wealth of baking expertise during that time. Its cases were FILLED with all manner of sweet treat, from cookies to cakes to pastries to bread to my aforementioned cupcakes. The air was sugar-filled and beckoning. Plehn's makes beautiful cupcakes with a flower design in icing on top. These were what I originally intended to buy, but they were a little outside of my budget at 6 for $19. Not complaining about that -- I imagine each cupcake takes time and skill to craft. So I looked for something else, and I found Christmas-themed cupcakes for much cheaper. And bonus: Each was topped with a plastic Christmas ring! These cupcakes were intended for several kids (and adult-like kids), so this was a great option. I purchased a dozen of these, and they stayed moist and delicious until we ate them a couple of days later. Don't sleep on this Louisville bakery mainstay. They definitely know how to make sweets that sweeten any day."
"Just the best. The best ever donut. Anytime I visit the area...Jeff's donuts...calories be damned!!! Worth it"
"I am SO glad I stopped here last Saturday! I was craving a donut after my long run and after first stopping at another bakery that was out of yeast donuts, I decided to try Clifton Donuts for the first time. The service was PHENOMENAL; when I ordered a coffee, the server brewed a fresh pot for me and when I asked if there were any filled long johns left, she told me there weren't but that she would happily fill it for me with whichever filling I wanted. And the donuts themselves were really soft, rich and flaky. This was my first time visiting, but definitely won't be my last."
"It's awful that I frequent this area because I keep coming back for more donuts. The donuts have always been tasty and fresh. Jeff's makes pretty good yeast donuts. They're fluffy and tall with a good rise. They're ridiculously sweet, but can't expect anything less from a good donut shop. There's no weird after taste that I get, unlike the donuts from the big chains. I recommend going with a classic glazed donut. Apple fritter is decent (not the best or worst I've had). There's always someone manning the front of the store, so service has always been quick for me. The donuts are okay the next day, but it's best to eat them the day you order them."
"Frank's is your classic donut shop where you can get perfect nostalgic donuts. This is a family affair with the owner, operator, and head baker being Frank's mother. Other members of the family work at the business as well. The service here was quick and friendly. The prices are affordable and they always have fresh donut shop coffee brewing. They have all of the classic donuts - glazed, cake, apple fritters, chocolate/maple frosted, and many more. They even have pastries to choose from. I think one of the great things about Frank's is that they have a drive through!"
"We LOVE donuts and the home grown authentic bakeries. St Matthews location quite impressive!! Our first visit got us 6 outstanding choices, filled to the brim and delicious!!! Since then, we've made several visits to the Fern Creek location. Our dinner dates have brought us there. Impressive......not so much!! Three different choices, nine donuts. They were hardly ok. We Always get filled. So where is it. See my strawberry cream filled!! Please take time to retrain employees there. He said, donuts blow up on him. What does that mean??? A good attitude, just needs a little supervised help to get to your high standards. I'm not messing around at $2.50 a donut. Kings will be my choice, once again. On the flip side, thanks for working with Door Dash. And a current discount with them. I will give the Hurstbourne one try before I give up. Please FILL those filled donuts."
"Adrienne makes delicious cakes, donuts, cupcakes, and other desserts. I've enjoyed the Jeffersonville and New Albany locations for years, but had never made it inside this location in the Knobs until yesterday. This location makes the goodies for the other cafés that serve food as well as desserts. This one only has the sweet stuff. They have great hours and are open 24 hours from Wednesday to the end of the week. I came in the afternoon and they still had a nice selection of donuts left. I think this is due to the quantity made here. The donuts are great! I got a dozen for work the next day since I leave my house before 5am, and am often in no mood to stop that early. The donuts held up great until the next day and my co-workers had no complaints.Inside, it was clean. The service was friendly and efficient. The prices are good. They are conveniently located next to Billy Joe's Gas and Food Mart on US-150. I'm sure I'll return here."
"Visiting Louisville after being away for almost 5 years and I'm happy to see so many different donut/coffee shops now. Cute spot for a delicious donut and to get your caffeine fix."

I wasn't sure about giving this place 4 or 5 stars. I only had the glazed donuts so hard to give 5, but have no reason not to. The owner was very friendly, reminded me of how Bardstown road used to be in the mid-90's. The glazed donuts were good. Looked different than other glazed donuts I've had but tasted great.

The place is easy to find and has great selections and each one I picked was great! I will be coming back for sure. The staff were friendly, not ready for a lot of new comers it seems but didn't hurt the service at all

We drove up on this spot right off the highway - open 24 hour donut shop? YEA. So we stopped. And omg.We went in for a few donuts but ended up with two dozen because we couldn't decide what we wanted. They literally had everything!Their icing is all so fluffy. Not your typical donut icing! They had so many unique options we wanted to try them all.Great, quick service, cute little shop. Highly recommend!!!

Donut shops come and go, so if you have a good one, best to support them. I popped in to this Jeff's Donuts for some quick energy after an afternoon at Kentucky Kingdom, and on display were treasures untold. Chocolate treats, fruity cereal topped goodies, and giant apple fritters. After a nice exchange with my donut guide, I opted for the Long John with the cream filling and it is easily one of the best one of its kind that I've ever had the chance to eat. While I don't live in Louisville, I would love to return and sample some of their other creations.

We were in Lexington briefly and I wanted to try some local donuts. This looked like the spot. All the yeast donuts were good and would order them again. We got a variety. The service was fast and the place was clean.

"I'm so happy there's another donut shop nearby. It's located right by the Walgreens on Eastern Parkway. The employees here were super nice and helpful. The prices are pretty reasonable too. All the donuts I had were so delicious. Their original glazed donuts were amazing. Definitely super light and fluffy. I tried a breakfast sandwich and that was really good too.I had a strawberry smoothie. It didn't seem like it was made with real fruit. Maybe a strawberry syrup? Either way it was nice and refreshing."
"Okay - today they had blueberry cake donuts! Officially my favorite donut shop! Highly recommend!"
"Inside the food court is this small counter with a nice assortment of donuts. Their glaze is sweet, their chocolate frosting is chocolaty, and their bismarcks are long and filled. The fritters are dense with apples, too. Not sure what else to say here, but I got all the donuts I paid for -- it was a simple transaction and the women who worked the counter were helpful, fast and friendly. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a tasty pastry."
"Since I was 3 years old I have been going to Honey Creme to get my favorite donut holes. You better watch how many you purchase because these scrumptious little holes are easy to pop in your mouth and before you realize 2 dozen holes are gone. This little shop will brighten your day."
"This place is an amazing find. I ALWAYS want west coast style donuts. They're bigger and they're better. That's how they do it in Cali and THESE DONUTS ARE IT! I'M TELLIN' YOU! If you haven't been to Golden Gate Donuts yet, GET YOUR BUTT DOWN THERE! It's located off of Smyrna in a small shopping center with plenty of parking. What's nice and convenient is that the Gene Snyder is right there too, just in case you've gotta hop on the freeway to get to work. They open up at 5:30 and are currently not open on Mondays. I came this morning (a Tuesday around 6:30) and they still had a great selection, but foot traffic was consistent. I came in and took a second to glance at the menu- not complicated. It's a donut shop. I ordered an assorted dozen. They come in a surprisingly small box despite how huge the donuts are- but don't worry. They all fit perfectly. I went ahead and got (almost) one of everything they had). They had cake donuts, regular glazed donuts, chocolate glazed, sprinkles, crullers, twists, filled donuts, and donut holes! They also have larger, individually priced donuts in the case on the left hand side. They have cinnamon rolls in there as big as your head- chocolate and regular, HUUUGE bear claws (filled with either cherry or apple), and giant fritters (apple or cherry). They are super cheap, too! I think I paid like $1.50 a piece for the larger donuts. What I also thought was really cool was that the 'filled' donuts weren't actually filled yet and you could choose what you wanted inside. They had at least four different fillings and I didn't see all of them but I did see strawberry and Boston creme. They've also got a case of beverages, as many donut places do! I will DEFINITELY be back. I'd have to say my favorite thing was the chocolate glazed twist. It was soft and the chocolate was rich. I gotta be careful so I don't end up becoming a regular LOL. Thanks for an awesome first visit, Golden Gate! You made me feel right at home!"
"I got 4 donuts. After talking to the person that works there, I got the following 4 types of donuts.1. Regular chocolate glazed donut with peanut butter2. Blueberry donut3. Caramel covered donut.4. Fruity pebbles covered donut.Blueberry flavored donut was my favorite. Followed by Regular chocolate glazed donut with peanut butter. There is peanut butter in it, so it should be somewhat healthier, right?Next favorite is the Caramel one. Fruity pebbles one is my least favorite. I would definitely go back to try more of their kinds."
"Great donuts and service A return to the donut bakery I grew up withNot your cookie cutter bakery"
"If you're looking for a fun and festive way to celebrate Halloween, Dunkin' Donuts has absolutely nailed it with their Halloween bucket filled with donut holes! I visit Dunkin' about once or twice a week, and this seasonal treat has added an extra layer of joy to my regular visits.First off, the presentation is just too cute! The bucket itself is an adorable, Halloween-themed container that adds a playful, spooky vibe to your snack. Perfect for sharing with family, friends, or even treating yourself to some bite-sized goodness. Now, let's talk about the donut holes. They are just the right amount of sweet, soft, and delicious! Dunkin' delivers on variety too--whether you're a fan of classic glazed or prefer something more indulgent like the chocolate or powdered ones, there's something for every donut lover in this bucket. One fun idea I thought of while enjoying this treat is how cool it would be to see a seasonal tree ornament filled with donut holes! Imagine a cute, clear ornament you can hang up or gift, with Dunkin's delicious donut holes inside--a festive twist for Halloween and beyond. While I absolutely love this concept, one tiny suggestion would be to add more themed decorations or limited-edition flavors to match the Halloween vibe even more. How fun would it be to see pumpkin spice or spooky-shaped donut holes in the mix?Overall, Dunkin' continues to bring joy to my weekly visits, and this Halloween bucket was no exception. It's the perfect treat for anyone who wants to add a little fun to their day, and it's sure to be a hit for Halloween parties or a simple snack on the go. Dunkin', you've done it again--delicious, creative, and just plain fun!"
"This is the best donut shop in Kentucky! They are so fresh, and everything you could want in a donut shop. YAY!!"
"FRESH donuts! This little place is loaded with fresh made daily donuts and pastries. The glazed yeast donuts had a satisfying fluffy, doughy texture with a perfect sugary glaze. I only bought a half dozen to share with my family and everyone was so impressed, I'll be back tomorrow morning to buy a cool dozen! As you can see in the pics, there are quite a few varieties of glazes and toppings. Also, cake donuts, eclairs, and more. There is also a small breakfast sandwich menu. The place is clean and the gal who prepared my order was friendly and professional - I'm guessing she is the owner of this fine establishment.Located right beside my go to nail salon, Corbin Nails, I'll be visiting often!"
"I think the staff is friendly and the owner is pretty friendly. I like their coffee and I'm kind of picky about coffee!"
"I live nearby, so I decided to take a walk to this location. Upon arrival, I walk up to the counter and at not time was I greeted by the several members of staff were just standing around. They actually walked away from the counter. Two posed as if they were cleaning, but never said a word. I finally asked was everyone going to clean or is someone going to take my order. The only young lady that was working was asked to stop what she was doing and take my order. Once she took my order, the rest of the staff came back to the counter to make the order. My first and last time going here. I'm not a fan of DD, but figured I'd give this one a try. It was that day I was reminded as to why Starbucks is always the better choice...customer service, quality, and presentation. A little advice: do better, train your staff on customer service, and how to treat all customers fairly!"
"I ordered my food and it was quick, but I ordered green tea and they gave me regular tea. I order green tea every single time and when I said it tastes like regular tea and looks like it they just all got on me saying it was green tea. I will post a photo, because I know it's not, but if they are out of something I would rather them say that than be gaslit into thinking it's my fault. I also went inside to speak to someone else to just simply try to get the right order and they all started being rude saying it's green tea... Guys it's literally brown ..."
