"we walked in right when they opened at 11 and were immediately sat for a table of 7. we started with the bite flight which is one of our favorites for when we have more than 4 people. i got the pickled goat salad with chicken and it was super tasty and served with balsamic vinaigrette. would rank 8.7/10. my husband got the cuban sandwich and it was crispy outside and so much flavor. would rank 10/10. some other people in our group got the greek sandwich and tomato basil pesto soup. the soup they said was amazing but the sandwich lacked flavor. soup is 9.2/10. greek sandwich was 7/10."
"What is not to like here? A sparkly shiny chromed diner takes you back to the good old days. Once you enter you will be enthusiastically greeted and seated. The interior is very colorful with chrome and mirrors everywhere. Love the seats in pink, aqua and a light yellow. So cool. Their advertised specialty here are whispy thin pancakes. Even so I am not a huge pancake fan, I figured I'll give it a try. I ordered a combo plate which game with 2 eggs, meat of your choice and 2 pancakes. The pancakes come in several flavors and they also have a flavor of the week, which was lemon poppy when I visited. Of course I went for the lemon poppy, a decision that proved to be very delicious. My waiter was attentive without hovering. A great skill in my oppinion and much appreciated. He asked if I wanted to order anything else and then brought the check. The check was presented amidst a basket of tiny rubber duckies. Apparently you get to chose a duck to take home with you. How cute. The tough part is deciding which duck to adopt. I settled on a white dragon ducky just because. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for a fun atmosphere, great food and service and of course the rubber ducky."

"9 years and one day later, I'm back for a return visit!! Honestly, I don't get through here very often. My most pleasant server was Kinnidi B. She made a perfect Arnold Palmer for me and then took my order. I was gettin' hungry, and that country fried steak was callin' my name from the kitchen (yep, all the way from the kitchen!).I obliged the call, and my two side were cauliflower covered in cheese, and a (loaded) house salad. The salad came out quickly. I put a packet of Bleu cheese dressing on my salad and proceeded to get to work on it. What a hugely filling salad!Unfortunately, my country fried steak came out soon thereafter. I was already running out of room, but I knew I had to soldier on. I wanna tell ya, despite my lack of internal space, I had to hold back and refrain from licking the plate. It was soooo good!Kinnidi B. is a bright and sparkly breath of fresh air. Such a sweetheart, she did a great job of checking up on me. Actually, not to disparage any of the other wait staff (I used to call them waitresses), everyone was helping everyone else. They really worked well as a team!On the way out, when I paid my bill, I somehow felt compelled to hand my card to Kinnidi. I saw a big smile take over her face. I hope she remembers me when I return.I highly recommend!!"
"Now that is what I call a delicious burger! We went to Burger Girl for the first time yesterday and really enjoyed our visit. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious. My husband and I both really enjoyed the seasoned fries and the burgers. We both opted for the "Burger Boy Combo" and had zero regrets. My extremely (!) picky four year old ate his entire Burger and then asked for a second!! Believe me when I tell you that this is an extremely rare occurrence. Today he has already asked to go back to Burger Girl."
"Straight From Texas had really good BBQ. I got carry out and the lady that checked me out was very nice. I ordered the combo with brisket, ribs, pork, and turkey. When she took the lid off of the pork I saw smoked bologna under the same lid and immediately changed my order. I told her to forget the turkey and I would substitute the smoked bologna for that. I had the macaroni & cheese (very good) and the chuck wagon beans (mid) as my sides. They let you pick your sauce and give you the option of onions, pickles and jalapeño. I got some of the sweet and some of the spicy sauce with jalapeño and pickles. My son did the same except he got onions too and instead of the beans he got the tater salad, which he really liked. When I got back to his place with the food I found out she substituted my ribs for the bologna (only reason for no fifth star) but the food was so good it didn't bother me as much as it would have otherwise. The portion sizes were also good and if you enjoy bbq I definitely recommend."
"stopped here on our way out of KY after the Kentucky Bourbon Fest. Seemed like everyone was there for the same thing. We all had that hungover look and the food / coffee made it better. Service was great and with a smile. The food was hot and fast and amazing. And the coffee kept coming. we will make this a part of our KBF routine every year now. the place was very clean inside and tables were promptly bussed leaving that clean vibe. loved it."
"Good burger, good onion rings. The area where u place your order was a little cramped. I had ice cream for dessert and it was delicious!"
"Did not get to try the food, because Yelp states that the restaurant was open and they are not. Even though the owners have told them the are not open.I road down from Columbus (on my motorcycle...in the forecasted rain) to try the Carl's cheeseburger basket, but NOPE!!!For those still reading their actual hours are:Monday: ClosedTuesday - Friday: 7:30 - 6:00Saturday: 7:00 -4:00Sunday: 8:00 - 3:00"
"I really love this local, neighborhood restaurant with an excellent chef and wonderful atmosphere. We have been there 4 or 5 times and we always enjoy it. Outside or inside, both are quaint and great. It's off the beaten path, in a way, but right in the middle of a great old neighborhood. There is plenty of parking and it is consistently busy on the weekends. Tonight Iris was our server and was fantastic. She was busy as can be but attentive and even made drinks to decrease the wait time when the bartender was busy. She also was bold enough to offer her favorites and recommendations with confidence which I really appreciated. My wife had the short rib sliders and I had the short rib special with mashed potatoes, green beans and fried onions. They were both excellent! My wife had the cheddar broccoli soup and I had the grilled Caesar and we weren't that impressed, but our entrees made up for it for sure! Can't wait to go back."

First time here. We enjoyed it and it feels like your eating in someone's home. It's BYOB, but they have glasses if you need them.Make sure you make a reservation!

We looked up this place the night before and thought this was a perfect spot to take our toddler for breakfast. They had a great menu and the inside was bright and filled with people. They offer a duck at the end of your meal so our daughter was able to pick one out. Great food that came out hot and fast!

Fantastic place. It is exactly what you want when you go to a diner. I've seen a lot of places that pop up that give a diner feel but with restaurant prices and I am sick of it. This is a true diner and my rating is based on being a diner.I got the quarter pounder with cheese, fries, and a chocolate shake. There was a lot of mayo on the burger but I didn't mind, just note for when you order. The burger was full at satisfying. My husband got a double quarter pounder bacon burger and it was fantastic but almost too much. The burgers were not gourmet, but not quite a smash patty either. Something in between. The bacon was fantastic also. Not that soggy bacon a lot of places give you. It was crispy. The fries were also fantastic. SUPER flavorful and salty, just a warning. The seasoning isn't spicy but it's got flavor. The shake was fine, it was fun getting. The service was great. Very homey feel.

We love trying new places and one of our favorites are family owned small businesses. Pat's Place is run by Pat and her twin daughters. Their burgers are handmade patties, just the right 80/20 mix and dressed the way you like. So good . Great atmosphere and the twins took great care of our group. Highly recommend trying Pat's.

A local favorite. Good burgers. Family, homey atmosphere. We usually eat at a family member's house when in town, but occasionally get over here if we stay a few days. Definitely worth a visit.

"I loves me a good cams hams sammich!! Their onion rings rock on.... I can't wait to smell the aroma upon entering the building the next time we visit WV!!!"
"One of Huntington's biggest gems. Food is excellent especially the baked spaghetti. Cannot say enough about this place. One of the best Italian restaurants in the area."
"We are from Texas and used to good Mexican food. Casa Grande did not disappoint. The pork carnitas were "Miyazawa Rico". The kids meals were more than they could eat so the adults helped. My simple tacos were flavorful and fresh. Good job!"
"In town two days and ate here both mornings! Noticed it when we first drove past then saw the reviews so decided to give it a shot.Definitely a diner and the clientele runs the gamut from old to young, singles to large groups. Restaurant has two rooms an older looking wood paneled one and a much brighter what looks to be addition. Older section has about 15 four tops and the addition about the same number of seats with different sized tables. We did have to wait both mornings, about 15 one and five the other. Folks seem to come in waves but they're pretty good at moving people through without making them feel rushed.Breakfast menu is large and it a seems they're known for absolutely giant pancakes. We saw several and they live up to the size billing but didn't try them.I had a single meat omelette - first day with ham and the next with bacon. Dish came with potatoes and a biscuit. Plenty of food and quite tasty. Generous ratio of meat to egg and the meat was diced so a knife wasn't necessary. The cheese on top was typical square American, not my favorite, but didn't detract. My partner had the hash one day and a meat lover's omelette the other and enjoyed both. Adding all the meats did make it way too much to eat.The only thing that might have knocked them down 1/2 star is the wait from ordering to getting the food is a bit long. Just when I thought 'hey, we've been waiting a while,' the table seated right before us got their food. So maybe slowish. They are however attentive with the coffee refills! If I had to guess it's just the logistics of moving food for 30 tables through the kitchen. We weren't in a hurry so was fine for us.Overall definitely a place to return next time we're in Owensboro!"
"I cannot complain! I've been here like five times already and always found the food DELICIOUS! So this place is a family run diner and is only open in the morning to afternoon. The decor is very homely, with photos and trophies adorning the walls. The server is the sweetest! This is a CASH ONLY place so make sure you have cash on you.Absolutely recommend the omelettes (whichever you prefer), hashbrowns, goetta and the fish sandwich. If you are having breakfast, everything is mostly accompanied by a perfect toast! The pancakes and french toast are good too! The price is extremely reasonable and an expansive breakfast would cost like $6!"
"Everything was delicious! Everything! The restaurant is quaint and situated behind Arcadium. The staff was friendly and helped to explain the menu with enthusiasm. The menu is small but packed with flavor and provides something for everyone. We tried everything on the menu. The burger was so good but the fries were even better and came with curry ketchup. We also had the lions mane mushroom, which was probably my favorite thing! Taste like a crab cake. The menu changes often so I will definitely being going back to try more options."
"Delicious Sunday brunch! Don't forget to order a Bloody Mary. Service was fast and friendly too."
"Loved this little hole in the wall restaurant. A simple menu and the locals flock to this place. I had the Dinner Bell Omelet, and the wife had the oatmeal. Both of us said the food and service were excellent. My coffee never cup got near empty. The menu has the basics, which is all that is needed. If you're in town and want a great breakfast, stop on in."
"It's a great local diner with your expected diner fare. Very good taste and the service is spot on. Only drawback is they only take cash (maybe checks and I had neither). They do have an ATM inside. I will return but I will have cash next time. Support local whenever you can!"
"Really good food, we had the three egg breakfast with bacon and the prime rib and eggs. Both so good. We sat at the counter and talked with the owners such nice people. Definitely going back."
"This place is great!! I had the stuffed French toast it was delicious. Bacon and grits yummmm."
"Family oriented vibe. The food is very decent. Everything we had was very good, especially the pulled porked, very tender & well-seasoned. Will recommend friends in town."
"El Picante is a great little Mexican restaurant located near Weddington Plaza in Pikeville. This is our first visit eating in as we have always had it catered at work before but we decided to give it a shot this evening. The decor is super cute with colorful hand carved wooden chairs with bright colors. Next time I'll take pics!! The staff were all very friendly and the waiter very attentive and responsive. We started with the usual chips (nice and warm) and queso/salsa and quacamole. The guacamole was nice and fresh but could use a little more flavor (lime/cilantro?). For entrees, I had the Shrimp El Diablo. They offered the small peeled shrimp vs the jumbo shrimp with the shell. I chose the latter and it was so good! As expected with El Diablo it had a nice heat and good flavor! My husband had the chicken and cheese and it was served warm and fresh. He did think the chicken was slightly dry but overall he said it was good. Would def come back- I'd order the same dish too! Good stuff!"
