"Jared is the nicest guy, great selection of necessities, and the sandwiches are KILLER. A gem for the neighborhood."
"This recently opened coffee shop is a great addition to Brandenburg's historic downtown. This business has coffees and teas of all flavors. The blueberry muffins are made fresh with local blueberries picked fresh by owners Shannon and Rachelle Frazier. Our Mochas were hot, sweet, and perfect. They have sandwiches on the menu for lunch, and Rachelle is regularly trying new recipes using local produce and products. If you haven't been by, you're missing out."

"So, this is weird review for me. Jersey Mike's isn't local. Most probably wouldn't consider it remarkable enough to write about. But, I'm stuck recovering from a major surgery. I can't get out and I don't have much better to do than to try sandwiches that that have gone viral on TikTok.The number 7, Mike's way, swap out the bread for rosemary parmesan, cherry pepper relish, and pickles. I'm not normally a soda drinker, but Agave Vanilla Cream Soda sounded interesting enough. As for the sandwich, the rosemary and the spice from the cherry pepper relish were an interesting combination. I liked it. I would reorder it. The sandwich was a bit sloppy, but that doesn't bother me. It had a decent kick to it, but it definitely was not overtly hot. I'm a bit indifferent about the pickles. They normally really elevate a sub for me, but I could eat this one with or without. The soda was decent. I'm not really into sugary drinks. It didn't have caffeine. There was another one I would try, black cherry tarragon I think? I bet I wouldn't try either sodas twice."
"Meltons deli has always been your best choice to pick for a handmade sandwich or soup that always had a great 1950's diner experience. Checkered tiles, and even newspaper clips in the tables. Some are a great read!! Service is to be expected; fast depending on business, or slow. Lovely place!"
"An amazing candy store that has been around for generations in downtown Jeffersonville. There is public parking right near the store which had plenty of free parking available. The store itself has lots of candies and chocolates made right there ! A fantastic museum room with excellent curated vintage candy displays . Also a small hot lunch area that closed at 3pm but looked like it would have been tasty.Definitely a place not to be missed if you are in the area ."
"My wife and I stopped for lunch on our way thru Harrodsburg. She had the Italian sub and I had the Rueben. Both sandwiches were full of meat and delicious. Breads were fresh and so were the toppings. The building is a converted service station. They have done a great job decorating it. Service was very fast and the staff was wonderful."
"Was in the area for a few weeks during a job. Amazingly friendly, engaging employees, especially in the restaurant! Great food kept me coming back each day. I wish I had a similar store in my area!"
"Ok, I'll admit I have a banitsa/burek problem that's been ongoing for at least a decade after I discovered it in a now defunct hole-in-the wall shop in the Highlands where it was simply called "cheese pie." I am completely helpless around it. If it's on a menu, there is 0% chance I'm not ordering it. It is the ultimate comfort food. That long preface now contended with, I stopped in this place to maybe grab a coffee and baklava with my 15 year old son who is too cool to generally offer words or expressions of interest, much less glee over damn near anything I introduce him to. Kid will eat everything and anything, but he's also happy spending $19 on five bags of Doritos and a 2 liter of Mountain Dew. BUT, he adored this place. He ordered an iced coffee and slurped it down like a frat boy playing beer pong. From my point of view, I was most impressed by the nugget ice, for I am a nugget ice connoisseur. So crunchy and satisfying. So obviously the iced coffee is a hit. I went to the bar (shocker) and asked the lovely lady working about a bitter liquor and tried this ridiculously weird but delicious amaro from Croatia that tasted like adult bubblegum. They had a bunch of weird booze and I'm excited to try many more. The burek though, once it was served, piping hot....oh myyyy. Huge portion. Buttery and crispy and delicate and just generally perfect. And the sauce, like a sour cream/tartar sauce/tzatiki? Well, I'd buy it by the pound and slather it on damn near everything - burgers, grilled veggies, who cares...it would just be a vehicle for that sauce that slays. We both liked it so much we ordered extra, scooping it generously on the burek, creating a fine hot/cold/sour/sweet/crunchy/soft combo that, well, now just writing this I feel like Pavlov's dogs drooling at the thought. We also also tried two sodas, one elderflower and one like a flat Coke with orange. Both interesting and hitting the spot vis-a-vis the salty fatty burek. (See pics)We got baklava to go. Son reported to have enjoyed it.The bill was $26. Seemed a little high, but in retrospect, maybe nah. A shot, an iced coffee, a very filling snack for two, two sodas and a baklava...made sense. And was well worth it for the experience. As a side note, you walk in and feel immediately transported into another world. You are no longer in Buechel. That is a huge part of the experience. Go here now. Don't be afraid to ask dumb questions, they will answer all of them with a little perplexion but with a gentle ease that mitigates your shyness and/or ignorance."
"The food was very good and service was quick and efficient. Parking is a little bit difficult at peak times."
"We are so happy to have a new, tasty sandwich shop in La Grange. Years ago, we gave up on subway's substandard ingredients and bland taste.Mike's has a lot of great options made with meats and cheeses cut when you order. Our favorite is a giant #9 Club Supreme on Rosemary Parmesan bread. We split the sandwich and are definitely full afterwards. The staff is always friendly and fast."
"I have been in there many times. Allt of the candy and sweet snacks are beyond the expiration date. I have never had an issue with any of their deli/Hunt Brothers foods."
"Hard to find, but once you do, you will not forget where it is!!!I was welcomed by Dad himself while waiting in the hallway. Explained the menu and options. I decide to go with the Rueben I had heard so much about it. It did not disappoint!!!Definitely will be going back."

Love this place! Great coffee and they'll make it how you want it. A few desserts and small menu, but very personable and friendly staff. Prices are comparable to other coffee shops.

Great! Great ! Great! From service to quality and selection you can't go wrong. This family owned and operated local deli is by far and hands down top notch! The Big Daddy BLT and chicken salad on a croissant are the best! I highly recommend Meltons for a afternoon delight

I got recommended here from the steam boat museum, and I'm so glad I visited. The museum is free btw, and there's a ton of fun, weird and interesting trinkets.I ended up getting chocolate covered peanuts and dark chocolate covered espresso beans to take home from a work trip. If you need sugar free, they had quite a few good options there as well. The chocolate covered peanuts were perfect!

For me, Fox's is a #roadtrip find, a little hole in the wall small store attached to a gas station, and it had a ittle grill inside. I was nearby for an event and told it was the only place to eat. The online menu looked good and when I got there I was not disappointed. I ended up with the fried green tomatoe bacon cheeseburger and a generous portion of hot fries covered in cheese sauce. #yum! And in told I had to have a pale ale ... kinda like a ginger ale. Generous portions and it all also only came to like $8. There were a few tables inside but I got it to go and ate outside at a picnic table cuz I had my dog with me. I might be in town again in Sept and I'm definitely going back. #ReviewsByRL

"Absolutely love, and highly recommend, The Block! The staff is super friendly, food is fresh and always top notch! I highly recommend calling and ordering ahead (they get crazy busy at lunch time so call before 11:30!) -- and always look forward to their soups!"
"Great lunch spot. Sandwiches are delicious and price is reasonable. Lots of home made specials. Locally owned and not a chain. What could be better?"
"This place is absolutely amazing. Salads, burgers, pizzas, sandwiches, specials! Tons of killer craft beers! Full service butcher shop cold cuts and all sorts of unique items you wont see anywhere else. Absolutely a must visit if you're in the area. !!"
"You guys never cease to amaze me. I love how delicious the sausage and peppers are. When you eat it slowly it's like eating a work of art. The ambience is very nice and the place is always jammed packed. You've to get there early to avoid the big line ups. The meals are affordable and worth trying. I remember I once had a deli sandwich and it was out of this world. If you're looking for a different place to try I recommend this place very highly! I'm recommending this place to all my friends."
"Kentucky's countryside is beautiful. Just like the poets say, Kentucky is nothing but endless blue grass, winding white fences and 10 foot bales of hay dotting the landscape. However, when Maker's Mark has worked its magic on you and a satisfying lunch becomes a necessity, look no further than Kountry Kupboard. Locals recommended it, and touristy foodies agree: it is a find. If you ever doubt the Amish, come check this place out. Delicious bulk foods pack the shelves in convenient well labeled baggies. Everything from sesame sticks to celery salt, the Kupboard is chock full of goodies. Their cranberry pumpkin seed mix delighted my belly and sated all snack hankerings throughout the long weekend. And the newly installed soft serve cooled our baked city brains and left us feelin' just fine. And then the sandwiches... Two words: weighty and cheap. All sandwiches weighed about a pound... seriously. And they were all under $4!!! I was with a group of guys known for their eating skills and only ONE could finish his sandwich. It was shocking. My veggie sandwich was just as weighty as the roast beef and was only $3... Yes, $3.Don't you dare go to Subway when you can grab a sandwich here."
"I just really love the great taste and even better price of this spot. If I lived closer to downtown I would be a frequent flier. Where else can you go and get a delicious meal that will stuff you to the brim for under $10?!"
"Stop in on a Sunday morning for breakfast. Everything was good. Eggs cooked right bacon and sausage were good. Biscuits and gravy were very good. Coffee was ok. All the local farmers /folks come here so that's the best stamp of approval."
"Great food. Great service. Cute restaurant. Try the BLT or pan fried chicken. And the fries are delicious!"
"A friend mentioned recently that The Mouse Trap has great, homemade soups that change daily, so I decided to head down there for lunch today to see what they were offering--Potato/Bacon and Italian Rice and Beans.I went with the Potato/Bacon and it is truly delicious! Loaded up with chunks of potato and lots of bacon, it really hit the spot on this chilly day. I added a bit of salt and plenty of cracked pepper, which I recommend as potato soup usually needs a bit of both.To accompany it, I got a roast beef and swiss sandwich with horseradish sauce. The price of the sandwich ($8.99) had me a little concerned about the value, but it was absolutely loaded with beef and cheese, easily two meals for me, if I add chips, which I did!If you haven't been there, it's basically a deli-style operation. You place your order with one clerk, who gives the orders to a couple of people who assemble the orders. There were several indecisive customers ahead of me, so it took a while for me place my order. Then, since there were orders ahead of mine being prepared, I had to wait about ten minutes for my order to be prepared. No big deal, they have a ton of great merchandise to wander around and check out. Point being, make sure you have time to wait around a bit if you go during lunchtime.Highly recommended!"
"I was traveling from Bardstown, KY to Henry County, Kentucky for soccer. I knew I needed to eat at some point on this trip. When I hit Shelbyville I looked up sandwich/deli shops and McKinley's popped up. Instead of going to a chain like Jersey Mike's, I opted to go local and I'm glad I did.I got the 615 sandwich and pasta salad. The 615 has all the meats & veggies with a chipotle mayo. Very good sandwich. I only was able to eat 1/2 and I'll enjoy the other half later in the day.Staff was friendly & it wasn't ridiculously expensive either. They could probably up their prices if they really wanted too. I'm glad they don't. But quality food and sandwich."
"I visited here today around lunchtime for a bite to eat. I walked in and was greeted quickly with a friendly worker. I told her I'd like a brisket sandwich with hot bbq. I waited 3-4 mins and was handed the food. It was $9.45 after tax for the sandwich. I ate it out in the truck and wish I could have said it was 5 out of 5 best ever but I can't. The sandwich was small and not that tasty unfortunately for the price especially. It had no Smokey flavor and just tasted like pulled beef roast on a roll with bbq sauce. I did not enjoy and was really wanting to like it. I'll give it another shot with another food item but I'll pass on this sandwich"
"Food is good, and staff is always wonderful but the prices have went sky high. Two people eating an average priced meal with drinks costs about $35."
"Great little sandwich shop in Danville where the owners work the counter. Sandwiches are made to order along with homemade salads. Potato salad, soups, chili and potato chips round out the sides. If you have room you can top it off with a piece of assorted pies or cheesecake. Good place for a quick lunch and much better than the chains."
"Great homemade pizza! Their sandwiches are good and they make their own bread! Highly recommend. They also sell local small business items like shirts, signs, sauces etc."
"We love the service from John. The wait staff come and go but John is forever. The Office Pub and Deli is an eclectic hole in the wall bar that serves great food. They have a feeling of walking on to the old tv show, Cheers set. Everyone has a smile for you and most of the time, know your order. I love the Wildcat burger! Always cooked perfectly. They will always come out of the kitchen to make sure you like your food.My husband loves the club. It's huge and piled with meat. They have the best ripe tomatoes for your sandwiches. Fried pickle chips are always a fav as well. They have house made ranch. Great for fries, burgers, and pickles!"
"Perfect. Every time. One large sandwich easily feed 3 adults. The steak & cheese, and the club are our favorites."
"First time going to Jersey Mike's. Very welcoming. There was a good variety for choices for sandwiches. The sandwich sizes were proportional for your small eaters to large eaters. Prices are a little higher than I anticipated... however, the taste and freshness superseded my expectation. Quality, speed, and friendliness ... worth it."
"This is the last of the few small neighborhood stores. They sell random odd and end items that you might need at any given time. This specific one is located right in my back yard. It is owned by a very nice elderly lady. They often have hot plate meals and sandwiches here for sale. If they are cooking, you want to eat here. I swear. Please note they do not take credit cards. She will randomly let you fill out an IOU. Where do they still do that? I love this store and the ones that run it. Thank you for being the heart of america and every small town. If you are in the area, go in and see her. Buy anything. You will fill like you just came home. I know I do."
"This is a great store to stop by. They have a lot of inventory and they also have a deli and make pizzas. Four tables/Booths inside by the window to eat. Decently sized beer selection. BIG store."
"A great sub, staff, and location. A Chick-fil-A experience sans the chicken. I hadn't been here in a few years, when I stopped in here yesterday to grab a sub for my work dinner. I didn't make my lunch, being lazy and still on a semi-post-holiday-kitchen boycott. So, JJ's was close and right by the expressway en route to the place that holds me captive. I usually opt for other competitors because I prefer a hot sub to a cold one. However, a tuna sub sounded so good. I walked in and was immediately warmly greeted. I ordered and began to pay. As I was finishing up paying, my sandwich was handed to me by another employee. Talk about fast! I didn't see it coming. The inside was spotlessly clean. The employees were friendly and super efficient. The sub was packed full of fresh ingredients and wrapped in their wonderful bread; they have great freshly baked bread. The prices were decent and they have a rewards program to which I think I was once a member. Must look in to that again. There were no negatives here for me. The location is also super convenient. Five stars in their category and price point.#1215/21-2020"
"Seeds and Greens Natural Market & Deli is great! This spot had been on my list to check out for some time, so a friend who lives in New Albany and I set a lunch date and headed to this spot a few weeks ago. We were glad we did, because we had an awesome lunch! This spot is, as the name suggests, a market and a deli. We spent some time looking around the store before placing our lunch order, and we loved the wide range of merchandise they offered. They have everything from fresh produce to pantry staples, organic, vegetarian, and vegan items, locally sourced items, and tons of stuff you won't be able to find elsewhere, as they have it shipped in from other areas (like specialty drinks). They also have non-food items, such as candles, incense, toiletries, accessories, and clothing. We grabbed some drinks to accompany our lunch, checked out the menu, then placed our order at the front counter. You pay there as well and then head to the back where the deli is located to wait for your goods. We didn't wait long and we were able to grab our lunch and sit in the back of the space where they have tables. (There is outsdoor seating as well.) We were the only people in the dining space, so we were able to spread out and have a great lunch! Everything was fresh and delicious! The quality of the ingredients was fantastic! If you're looking for a quick and casual lunch spot in the area, I highly recommend Seeds and Greens Natural Market & Deli!"
"My wife and I got the pimento cheese sticks, chili, and loaded veggie soup. All were amazing! We will definitely be back and have told several friends that have already stopped by as well and have had great experiences also!"
"Good food and fair prices. Easy to follow menu. This is a great place to stop for a biscuit on the run! We appreciated the clean facility, friendly staff and delicious home-cooked food. We will return when we were in the area again."
