"I'm a Findlay Market fanatic, shopping there weekly for over 25 years now, and Pho Lang Thang has been a favorite from the days they had a cramped space inside the market itself. Nothing like the stylish, spacious digs they have now, with a very well-stocked bar and friendly, attentive staff. I stopped in on a chilly February afternoon and enjoyed a delicious, warming chicken congee and fabulous beef bahn mi with pate and jalapeños. Highly recommended, whether you're shopping at the market or just looking for a terrific southeast Asian meal in the 'nati."
"Joelle's is here for all your hot chicken needs! The restaurant is a quick service style and was clean, well kept. The staff were friendly and greeted us. We were there on a Sunday afternoon and surprisingly there wasn't anyone there.I tried the Ella's Fav which was not the least spicy but this had no spice whatsoever, still delicious but I expected some level of spice; the coleslaw was great. I look forward to visiting again and trying a higher spice level!"

"Got takeout last night. Burnt ends with cornbread and green beans. I lived in Kansas City for awhile, but those burnt ends were better here than any I had in KC. Wow! That smokey flavor. The cornbread was sweet and delicious. The Green beans were so, so--a bit watery. The spicy BBQ sauce was excellent, but I avoided putting it on the burnt ends because I didn't want it to obscure the gloriousness of the meat. My order was up in less than 5 minutes, which was a blessing since I was going in hungry."
"top shelf, good got chicken, they need more words but I have none, just try this chicken, it's delicious"
"On a recent trip to Cincinnati we ate here twice. My family and I love Nashville hot chicken and appreciated that they had chicken thighs that were meaty and delicious. They also had a large variety of good tasting sides. The service was top notch. Taylor W waited on us both times and was very friendly and informative. The restaurant itself was nicely decorated, clean, and welcoming. We have tried a handful of other Nashville, hot chicken, restaurants, but Joella's is definitely one of our favorites. The food is very flavorful and you get a lot for the reasonable prices."
"Solid place to eat. Pretty good chicken - decent overall menu. I usually get the chicken and waffles. Service has been slow sometimes, but the staff is always nice. Always one of my options when I go out to eat."
"Sarang is a lovely compact, family-owned Korean restaurant perched on the corner of Bardstown and Eastern Parkway. The menu is available both as a large, overhead display in picture form and in trifold fliers, depending on how one best prefers to make decisions.Order at the counter, then choose one of the tables at which to await the delights which will soon arrive. The staff is quite knowledgeable about the menu items, including which contain a variety of potential allergens/common foods people avoid. Of note - one of the kimchis is vegan (cucumber) and they do offer a vegan ramyun which you should definitely try. As they were pretty steady the night we dined they hadj run out of jap chae, so I opted for veganized bibimbap (yes tofu, no egg). The veggie and kim-mari mandoo are also vegan, however the soondobu jigae is made with oyster sauce, so keep that in mind if trying to stay plant based.Pricing is quite reasonable for the quality and the amount of food, and the owner is just delightful. Although I'm sad I didn't get to try the jap chae this time, it does give me an excellent reason to return."
"Food tasted great. Our table had chipotle bbq wings, tillamook dog, bacon egg & cheese sandwiches, and sausage queso as an appetizer. All tasty and reasonably priced. Service was gracious and friendly. Comfortable sports bar atmosphere completed the ambiance- and best of all was recommended to us by a local!"
"We wanted to take our Granddaughter out for lunch and this was the place she recommended. So glad she did as the food and service was excellent. Our server, Kelsey took outstanding care of everything we ordered. I got the Soup of the day, Hopin John, a Bluecheese Burger and a Kentucky Bourbon Ale. My Granddaughter got Mac n Cheese and my wife got the Soup n Salad lunch special. Everything was delicious, hot and fresh. They have huge TV screens on the walls and I'll come back here for some ball games"
"We visited here on a Sunday afternoon around 1. It was pretty crowded and had the games on. We waited a good 5-10 minutes before our waitress came around. She was nice it was not an issue. We ordered our food and drinks. I got a club sandwich and wife got chicken and rice. My daughters got chicken pasta and a kids chicken meal. It was all about 3 stars we came to the conclusion on the food. It looked better than it taasted but it was still pretty good overall. I would come back and try their chicken wings that they are known for. I would have given it a 4 but the taste for the price was just not there. I will try them again for the wings next time."
"Solid pizza, easy going vibes, and with late night hours! Personally, I love to snag some of their grab and go items when I'm in a rush for lunch--they have some solid salads that make things nice and easy.I also really enjoyed their chicken parm--which surprised me! It wasn't a huge, saucy, overload-of-cheese vibe, which is what I come to expect. Rather, it was a nicely-fried medium to small-sized cutlet, with a yummy red sauce and a modest amount of cheese. But it was well balanced and good quality, especially for the price. It's become one of my go-to items to order! The service is helpful, but chill, which I personally appreciate when I'm just trying to be in and out."
"had a wonderful early dinner here. the booths are very comfy and there were plenty of TVs for entertainment. the service was attentive and fast. We had the pretzel (soft and buttery), fish and chips (crispy and crunchy), and the bbq bacon burger (great flavors and cooked perfectly). If you get only one thing get the onion rings, they're out of this world."

long story short: I love this placeI have been to Pho Lang Thang many times & I have never been disappointed. They have food for every season- cold noodles in the summer, hot soup in the winter- & their service is always great. The service is always good & the atmosphere is good, although it is sometimes a bit chilly inside. Everything we have tried here has been so tasty. We usually get pho & I have a preference for the chicken over the beef. Recently, we tried bun for the first time & I was blown away! It was so flavorful & so fresh! We love the cha goi as well; they are a delightful appetizer, always so hot & crispy, & I am truly obsessed with nuoc mam. We also enjoy the banh mi, although not as much as the pho or bun. I truly believe anything you order here will be delicious!

Should I have eaten all this home-cooked goodness for lunch and expected to go back to work and be productive? Maybe not. Do I have regrets? Zero. This is GOOD EATS. The server was friendly and attentive, even during a lunch rush. The meatloaf was good, and because I know she can feel me writing this review, let met just say--my mom's is still the best. It's 2025, and I hope we are all finally on the same page: a proper ketchup glaze in all it's glory is a must, and MMPB nailed it. For me, the real stars were the sides. Creamy mac & cheese and slow-cooked green beans were delish, but roll out the red carpet because the creamed-corn ATE. It was rich and flavorful without masking the corn itself, which is exactly what you want in a vegetable side. The portions and price equation 'mathed' just right in my head. And on a second visit to Hurstbourne (my personal favorite location), I had a frozen cocktail that tasted like a nod to a Painkiller--aka one of my all-time favorite drinks. That, plus the same exact re-order I had for lunch?? A time was HAD.

I have been wanting to try out Joella's for a while - we visited after an airport run picking up a friend. The service is phenomenal - the lady at the counter was very helpful as we had never been before and made great recommendations. They were also very helpful as we were leaving. Very impressed with the management and the service! The food was good. The chicken breading was flavorful. I wish I would have gotten one of their house sauces instead of ranch to dip my tenders in - their sauces look fantastic (I just didn't see them on the menu at the time of ordering). The fries were good, but not fantastic (in my humble opinion). I love all kinds of fries - shoestring, boardwalk, steak fries - these are more like shoestring and crispy and have cheese and garlic on them - but it wasn't a 10/10 for me. The chicken shines over the fries. I may have to try another side when I go back.Atmosphere was good - we caught it Easter Sunday evening, so it wasn't very busy. Nothing fancy, but we were there for the fried chicken! I would go back for sure.

Sarang is a great local Korean place on Bardstown Rd. They have parking in the back and the restaurant itself is pretty small. The service and food are amazing. My go-tos are the Beef Bulgogi, Bibimbap, and Korean fried chicken. They have very flavorful and fresh kimchi that comes with bulgogi and bibimbap. Staff is very friendly and I would highly recommend getting takeout- always fast and fresh.

Weekend trip with the family to Bowling Green KY. 2 young kids who can be picky...loved their grilled cheese and cheese burger! Food was good, service was great! Would absolutely recommend and would go back if we're ever in Bowling Green again!

"Don't be fooled by its outdated exterior and odd theme--Galactic Fried Chicken is hands down one of the BEST restaurants out there if you're looking for a fried chicken spot that has both vegetarian AND gluten free options! Their jackfruit bites are out of this world (pun intended), especially with a hefty side of ranch, and their loaded fries are delicious as well. The entire place is great for those with celiac.I don't recommend their deviled eggs, however.Fantastic spot, super nice owner!"
"Came here for lunch today and had a great experience. My toddler was with me and everyone was kind and patient with us. I got the half club sandwich which was awesome! I also got a cup of burgoo which had just the right amount of kick. My son had a grilled cheese and fries. The fries were well seasoned and I would definitely get more for myself next time I come by!Also, ordered smoked wings to go for my husband and he was really impressed. They were delicious!"
"O.M.G....I have found the authentic Thai restaurant in Kentucky -- Nat's is it!!Nat's is a very unassuming lil takeout only restaurant tucked into the side of McCarthy's Irish Bar and shares a front entrance with an Irish gift shop. It sounds odd, but totally worked! My friend and I walked up one afternoon, ordered food inside the restaurant, was told by the owner to "go next door, order a drink and he will bring the food over". We went to McCarthy's, ordered a couple of Pepsi and sat in the cutest nook by the window. Our orders arrived soon: Kobe beef grapao, shrimp salad. Wow! The flavors are sharp, distinct and intense, like Thai flavors are supposed to be. I would say the grapao's spice level is about medium for me. The salad was so spicy that I couldn't finish it. If you have the tendency to want "Thai Hot" in your dishes, this is the place that can serve it up! If you look at the photos poated by other Yelpers, you'll see many other special menu items not found at any other local Thai places. i cannot wait to come back for them!Btw, there is also a nice courtyard next door w available seating during warmer months."
"Cool spot in Charleston! Loved the vibes of the place and service was great. We ordered the Brussels sprouts (6.5/10) and the Salmon bowl with coconut rice (8/10). Sprouts were a bit saucy for me, but still great flavor and would definitely try again. The salmon bowl was great, and do NOT skip the coconut rice!"
"I freakin love Chicken King. Food slaps. People working there are awesome. Now, listen, this place is super popular so they do run out of normal chicken. Their spicy chicken is great but it's also actually spicy (old folks read: get ya tums!). I've done the drive through only so I can't comment on the inside seating. Waiting in the car line can take some time. Be patient they're slinging a ton of food to a ton of families for a good price.Whenever I'm having a bad day I go line up for Chicken King. Why? Because it's like having thanksgiving on demand and how could that not make the day a bit brighter. This is soul food.Let's talk about the sides: Sweet potatoes? Perfectly seasoned, buttery, and brown sugar sweet. Corn bread? Moist! Baked beans? Sent me to heaven. If I was on my way to Norton, I'd ask the ambulance to pull over and get me Chicken King. That's how much I love Chicken King!!"
"Awesome chicken sandwiches! Great place with a patio, live music, and amazing deep fried pepperoni rolls."
"Best Chicken in Lexington. The service is always quick. The store front is authentic as it gets. Definitely recommend getting spicy"
"Never disappoint of this place. Good bar food, great services, great atmosphere, decent prices and very cozy places."
"The catfish and fries were cooked to perfection, I asked for Cajun seasoning, but I don't think it had any on it. Still very delicious with some lemon and hot sauce, or tartar. Hubs liked the Cajun grilled Mahi Mahi. While we were eating, a man (probably the owner or manager) came over and asked if could bring us a treat if we liked pistachios. A few minutes later he returned with a piece of art! A Crepe filled with pistachio crumbles, topped with pistachio butter, and white chocolate with pistachio crumble on the edge. Not only was it delicious, it was almost too pretty to eat. We had a great lunch. The restaurant is spotless, and their health score is 99. I recommended the Fish House and Grill to anyone in the area, or make a special trip!"
"The food here is superb. Keep in mind, everything is fried, so not for health nuts. But once in a while, you deserve a treat. I've been a fan of Indi's wings for years! They NEVER disappoint. They are perfectly cooked and spicy every time. My wife loves the wedges, basically a giant fluffy French fry. Service here is on point. Friendly, fast and a very clean restaurant. Do your self a favor and schedule a trip to Indi's soon!"
"Visiting town to visit family and picked this place based on reviews. The food was delicious! Salsa was on point. We got the mamacita and a taco alacarte. One of the best meals I've had. Definitely a small town gem for Mexican food."
"1st time here and I live so close I feel bad for waiting so long. I took friends from out of town and the place is clean, friendly, and a good variety of food. We had shrimp, catfish, fried okra, hush puppies, and fries. The portions are large for the price and it was cooked fresh once we ordered."
"The B.A. Colonial is in the historic Colonial Gardens building, but it is well updated and modern. The menu is full of classic American items but it's all pretty good! Service is also good. There's a great patio too. Andddd there's a venue space upstairs!Additionally, B.A. does all sorts of cool stuff. Just this week, they're going a fundraiser with decor their customers painted for Derby, and if you took in a ticket from Churchill Downs yesterday, you could get a free old fashioned. They are super involved in the community and doing lots of engaging things, which makes it a five star for me!"
"Spring Street is a great neighborhood watering hole that has the right mix of good food, good beer selection, decent cocktails, and a lot of room to spread out. This is also one of the few places near the Highlands that has a lot of TVs and takes sports seriously...but I wouldn't consider it a traditional sports bar. It really is a neighborhood place, and quite an institution. I went there for the opening NFL Sunday. Every game was on, including my Saints. So I took a seat in the back corner near a small TV that the game was playing. It felt very cavernous from where I was sitting. But I also had three TV's right in my view, which was perfect. There were a number of Bills, Bengals, and Bears fan, so it was boisterous time.I started with jumbo wings, and I decided on Korean BBQ. The sauce was good, and while I don't need wings submerged in juices, I would've appreciated a little bit more flavor. That said --- these wings are jumbo, and they're pretty good. The fries, which are $6 and plentiful, were also delicious. The beers and Moscow Mule were exactly what I needed. You order everything, drinks and food, from the bar. Service was very efficient and the bartender working the bar, seemingly by himself, was awesome. He even picked up an empty for me and took my drink order. He also looked at my Saints jersey and knew where I needed to go before I asked. That's the type of experience you can only really get in touristy areas or neighborhood bars. If we lived in Irish Hill, this would be a regular haunt for me. The moderately high prices and far walk from my house are the only things preventing me from coming more. I think food, drink options, and experience are worth the journey to Spring Street."
"Finally after several years away on active duty I am finally able to be back to Rivers Edge (Cafe)At least they have the original house dressing for the salad. Almost has the feeling of Hodad's on Coronado Island in California. Great service, very nice atmosphere, very nostalgic, the food is amazing. Worth the extra time off the beaten path to visit. (The blonde Waitress is super nice)Love it and will return"
"Well, no this is not diet food. But it was NOT greasy!!! I stopped here because I am on the hunt for the best fried chicken in Lexington. I ordered the three chicken strips with one side and a dinner roll. The dinner roll was just a dinner roll, not bad, but not spectacular as far as dinner rolls go. My side was mashed potatoes and gravy. Good. Two plain strips and one spicy. Go ahead and order spicy, it is not too hot. The plain was good, but I felt like it might need a little salt although I don't need more salt in my diet. . Anyway, the entire meal was pretty yum!!!! I will come here again! The chicken was fried perfectly. ( not sure if they soak it in buttermilk, it could have been a touch more tender. ). Still, this chicken is delicious enough to keep you thinking about it and coming back for more!!! So , YES, five stars!!!"
"Pretty good food. Cheese cured and caramel were surprisingly delicious. All of the wings sauces were good but the wings were small"
"I searched for a highly rated restaurant in Lexington, KY while on a business trip. In preparation for game one of the 2023 World Series, I thought I should eat in my hotel room and not go to a sports bar since no one would care about if the game was on or even less if the Rangers would win or lose. I follow my own Yelp rules. Search for a place that has many reviews and is highly rated and you can't go wrong. Wing KYngs was both. I drove a few miles and walked into a clean nondescript brick building right into a wall of delicious smells. I asked the cashier to help me make a decision. She suggested two sauces: the General and Garlic Spice. I agreed. No fries just 9 jumbo chicken wings on the bone. Fast forward to sitting in front of the tv back at my hotel watching baseball. Hot. Fresh. Savory. Sweet. Happy."
"Food is very good. The best pizza I've had in the area. The service is fast and friendly. Ambience is fine, has a tv going with movies, a few small tables to eat in. We visit the Nicholasville location."
"Derby city pizza is a chain of pizzerias that are in the Lousiville area and surrounding cities. I've noticed most of the locations are former neighborhood pizza chains that they still pay homage to. This particular location off of greenwood road is the former "prp pizza" or pleasure ridge park pizza. Me and my family enjoy the derby city pizzas quite a bit. They are a tasty and easy bite. There pizzas are the thinnest of crust so it's easy to consume a lot of slices but they do pack good flavor. We usually go with an extra large cheese and sometimes get a pepperoni or bbq chicken (my oldest dish here favorite) pizza. My wife is a big fan of there lasagna. Said there sauces and cheese on it is great. They are heavy on the sausage but they are pre made so they can't help that. This location compared to other ones is very similar. I'd say they have more TVs then the other locations but it is filled with that areas local High school teams decor and some university of Lousiville and Kentucky decor as well. Service we received on our trip to Thai location was pretty solid. Was a Friday night with a Lousiville game on so decent crowd But the waitress kept our drinks full and got our food to us in a reasonable time. Overall we enjoy the derby city chains. Pizza and food is the same but I enjoy visiting different locations and seeing the support they do for nearby high schools and to see the vibe. Some of them definetly have a big neighborhood pizza vibe which is good as it stays true to there origins."
"In town for work, and saw a catchy name. I looked them up and they had good reviews so I went to try them out. The food. I ordered a "Slims meal". I must say the tenders were hot and fresh and delicious. The in house sauce I chose (Honey Mustard) was pretty good. A little sweeter than I prefer but still very good. The fries were good, and the raspberry tea was awesome!!! The service was friendly and fast. There wasn't much to the ambience. Just people enjoying their meals with friends and family. Oh and some TVs playing. I enjoyed the food and experience, so I went back. This time I tried the Memphis-style BBQ chicken sandwich. Whoa!! This is a banger!! The chicken was sweet and spicy and the slaw just set it off. Undermine for the road. Overall a solid 4.5 stars. Not a 5 because the honey mustard sauce wasn't a 5 (for me). There are other sauces to choose from, but I didn't try them. I would definitely recommend this place."
"Joella's Hot Chicken? Yes, please!Serving fried or grilled chicken, Joella's offers the choice of mild to hot with a dipping sauce, served with a dill pickle slice. The good, and it is good:-shoestring fries-Mac n cheese ( creamy and addictive)-Kale salad- collard GreensThe bad...well, not bad but certainly disappointing : Joella's switched from Boylan's fountain sodas to Coca Cola. Boylan's was known for their offerings of pure cane sugar cola, black cherry cola, and others. For me, offering what ever other restaurant offers takes away a unique option but apparently the public has spoken.I ordered the 2pc tenders with tweener sauce (a little spicy), and the kale salad side, which is slightly sweet and crunchy. As always, the chicken was flavorful and the kale was fresh. We were served by the general manager and he was very accommodating and went out of his way to be helpful.Overall, Joella's serves hot chicken the way you like it. Enjoy!"
"This is a local favorite and now I know why. The chicken wings! The wings are a good size with a perfect crisp, all their sauces are killer, and they're certainly the best bang for buck you can find. There's plenty of seating inside as well as a patio out back. I'll definitely be back to try the burger of the month special soon!"
