"I ordered a Co ham for Derby & after I picked it up my husband & I agreed it was sliced ultra thin & shredded! We talked to the owner & not only did he deliver a new sliced ham at his expense he threw in some party rolls! Great job! We will definitely go back !"
"Wow, what an amazing and unexpected culinary triumph! I had the best shrimp and grits I've ever tasted here - by far! Creamy, spicy, and crisp. Perfect!"
"Woot!! Woot!! I finally made it to Happy Belly Bistro!! Had the pleasure of joining the Virtual Yelp Event that Chef Ashlee and Happy Belly Bistro took part in several months ago. I told my wife that whenever we get the opportunity to visit Louisville that I wish to visit her business. Last night, my wish came true!!We found Happy Belly Bistro at Gravely Brewing. They conduct business there a couple of times a week. Unfortunately, Chef Ashlee was not there so my wife and I missed out on meeting her. Fortunately for us, though, we were able to try her food concoctions. We shared two entrees. The Smash Burger with fries and the Birria Tacos were our choices. Both entrees did not disappoint. They were each DELICIOUS!! My favorite item was the Birria Tacos!! I saw Chef Ashlee make them at the Virtual Yelp Event so actually getting to eat them in person was fantastic!! They tasted so well especially with that broth dipping sauce!!I was hoping to visit them at their food truck like what I saw during the virtual event. Wanted to take a photo with their Happy Belly Bistro name and Chef Ashlee. Still, both my wife and I were very happy to chow down on their yummy food! We left the premises with Happy Bellies!! Thank you so much Happy Belly Bistro and Chef Ashlee! Next time we visit from California, we look forward to patronizing your business again!"
"This place was just okay for me. I love Caribbean food as I grew up with it and this was just okay. The service is a bit slow and there good be a bit of improvements. I ordered the fried catfish and cornbread and my guy order the jerk chicken with plantains. The catfish came with a sauce which was good. The corn bread was cold and lacked a bit of flavor. When I asked for it to be warmed up and a bit of butter. I received melted butter with the same cold corn bread. My guy said the jerk was okay but the plantains were not ripe and they were hard like a green banana and not sweet. So he did not continue to eat them."

I've had Morris' on my list for a long time. Basically, since I moved to Louisville around twelve years ago. I'm not sure why it took me so long to get over to this spot, but I'm glad I finally did, because I loved it! Morris' is a truly typical Kentucky-style deli and general store. It reminds me of the spots I grew up frequenting in Bourbon County. They're offering up everything from liquor, snacks, and drinks, to whole country hams. Plus the deli makes this one of the best lunch spots in the area! They're serving up high quality sandwiches, soups, sides, and desserts daily. Plus, they offer catering. If you're looking for a quick and easy spot to grab something extremely tasty, I'd say Morris' is a great place to do it!

So, arrived at 5, by 5:55 still no food. Already out of fried green tomatoes appetizer & all specials. Service is "somewhat" attentive when I wave. For some reason they turned the lights up! So there goes ambience. Salad and roles are good...who know if I will ever get food I ordered. Add: 6:05 food came, it was good. I had wagyu burgerAnd wife trout. From 3 to 4 stars. Cheers to you will "probably " dine again.

You can get great food from a food truck. But it's not everyday that the food looks beautiful as well.Happy Belly Bistro does it all! HBB regularly parks at TEN20 Craft Brewery, which is where I encountered them last week. To start with, I was impressed by the fact that you can order and pay from your table via a QR code on the menus. And it was hard deciding what to go with! So much looked delicious. I ended up choosing the Whatever Nachos and elote. Both were delicious surprises. The nachos are made with yucca chips, which are a bit firmer than normal chips meaning they are better at holding the toppings that included chicken, pico, queso fresco, chipotle aioli and red cabbage. These all worked so well together to make for some flavorful nachos. With the elote, I liked that the husk was kept on. It was seasoned with chipotle aioli, queso fresco, tajin and cilantro. The corn was cooked perfectly. Both of these put me in such a happy place. I can't wait to come across HBB again, perhaps trying the birria tacos next.

Wow, wow... Amazing!!! And I'm not only talking about delicious food!!! It's the whole concept, the energy, the people, the community, the story but Most of all THE LOVE... This is a community based restaurant which charges on donations. Even if you do not have any money you can work it off by helping out around the restaurant and/or the community! This is far bigger than something to eat!!! It's a MOVEMENT!!.. Porkland Bar-B-Que is in conjunction with Love City which is a community based movement who's main goal is to get Neighbors to Love the Neighbors... That simple Yet that powerful!!I'm most impressed by the soul guiding this movement, Shawn Arvin, This guys spirit, soul and humble mind is instantly addictive! All he preaches is LOVE!!! ... Doesn't want credit for anything but showing Love!!I know this was supposed to be a restaurant review, so with that said .. SIMPLY DELICIOUS HOME COOKING!! I had the Rib Tips, Green Beans and Baked Beans!!!! Yes, to all of the above.. my favorite was the Baked Beans!!!! Mmmmmmmmmm.. We was in a group so we all had different things and not one person complained! Everything was delicious from Pulled Pork, Pulled Chicken, Fish etc...... Great food and helping out the community all in one! Please be sure to ask about the story of this movement and I guarantee you'll want to be a part of the movement!!

"Located on a mostly residential street in an old church facility, Porkland is easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. The banner out front, commanding "Eat Here" and announcing "Open Now" is the only outward indication of a restaurant inside, and even that could almost be mistaken for a church festival banner, if you didn't take the time to read it.Inside however, Porkland is clearly a restaurant. There are plenty of tables and quirky decor, ranging from the expected (pigs, a mural map of Portland) to the unexpected (model Twin Spires, a giant Rubik's cube, the front end of a Volkswagen bug). You order at a counter straight back from the door. Choices include pulled pork or chicken sandwiches, "Churched Up Tater Tots" with all the fixins, deep fried corn on the cob (seriously) . . . there's more but just know that none of it is health food. The items are affordably priced: $5 or $6 for the main items and $2 for sides. For to-go orders, there are church pews to the left near the pick-up counter. We ate in, so we received a number and took a seat.Matt had the pulled pork and I decided on "Pops" Porkland Round Steak. To be clear, this isn't steak. It's a super thick slab of bologna fried, then topped with nacho cheese, two kinds of sauce, and Grippo's, all between two surprisingly sturdy slices of bread. We ordered mac n cheese and green beans to share. I really liked mine, which I thought I would have to fork-and-knife, but we received forks and napkins only, so I picked it up and it actually held together really well. The green beans were good and the mac n cheese was okay--light on mac, heavy on sauce.I do have one complaint--the drink selection is limited to canned sodas and bottle waters and Gatorade. I would love to see some iced tea on the menu. I think a sodium-laden sandwich like the one I had calls for some sweet tea to wash it down. Obviously it's not a deal-breaker though.Porkland is a really nice neighborhood spot. Best of all, Porkland is part of the non-profit Love City Inc, whose programs include homework help for middle-schoolers and a community gym for teens."
"Awesome course, pretty tough & a ball-eating monster but all the while gorgeous. Absolutely stunning backdrop of Bardstown woodland, makes it picturesque."
"We had sales meetings in town, and they brought out a great lunch of sandwiches, homemade chips, fruit salad, chocolate chip cookies and brownies!!Presentation was perfect and right on time!!Later in the week they brought in fajita bar!!! Amazing quality and tasty!!"
"Everything about this business is amazing! The only thing someone could possibly complain about is the wait time, and I wouldn't complain about that because your food will be delicious and fresh. My favorite thing on the menu was the salmon tenders, and I also love the catfish, chicken, and the sides are amazing. I still haven't found anything that I don't like. Please make sure you check it out. You will not be disappointed."
