The gal next to me from out of town ordered some sides of Mac n Cheese, Asparagus and French Fries for her meal and it did smell delicious."

"I've lived in Louisville full-time for 3 years, but I started visiting nearly a decade ago when I moved to Lexington. When I met a friend in Louisville for dinner, he recommended Grind. I enjoyed my burger enough that it became one of my go-to places when I dropped in town, and I'm still trying new things on the menu. I've built my own burger, and also enjoyed the B&B, and Pork. All were good. And while they are known for burgers, they excel at other items. My wife loves their salads. Last time we went, I got the adult grilled cheese for the first time. I did enjoy it, but it felt a little too elevated to me. I'll probably go back to burgers the next time we go. The house cut fries did not disappoint. As for beverages --- pretty reasonably priced and a good beer/bourbon selection. This is a great place to bring visitors because there is usually always room for groups, it's right near the heart of NuLu, and it was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives! Which I think is cool.The reason for 4 stars is that while everything is good that I've tried, I think there are better burgers out there for a better price. The ambience in there is also hit-or-miss because I've hardly been inside when it's crowded. It's a big space, so it can feel a little empty.That doesn't impact us as much because we always go up to the bar and chat with the bartenders. They're very friendly and have some good stories to tell. The servers are a big reason why we keep coming!"

I would want to try coming in after they have been open for awhile next time and see if the temperature is more moderate. 5 stars for the food, just took off a star because the temperature was uncomfortably cold even with the coats on."

"Took some out of town guests here for a late breakfast. Cute diner vibe, small and cozy restaurant. Food was very good and what I liked best is the servings were a normal size not the huge, expensive mountains of food most places now serve. Lost a star because the coffee was luke warm, no matter how many times my cup was topped off the coffee was not hot."

Great energy and knows the menu!We both ordered the grippo wings and we had the Mac and greens for our sides.The Old fashioned is strong and good!!!So the food came out and it was Fire!!! The wings were cooked to a crispy perfection and had the smoked flavor along with the grippo taste. The sides were great!!! Didn't have enough room for desert. Overall it's a great restaurant, the vibe was great and I look forward to a return visit. When you come here ask for Charlie he's amazing!"

"Well this place has been in the neighborhood forever. I don't know how many owners it's had but you can tell it's a staple because it is completely full during lunch and dinner on most days of the week. Just moved to the neighborhood a few months ago and even though I feel the menu here is pretty limited, it's just always busy. And good for them! Ambience is very classic and lots of wood. Service seems to be good for the past few times I've been here. I had the zips burger which I thought was pretty good and my friend had the train wreck which he really liked. Everything else is sort of extra and there's not much else on the menu besides burgers and fries. But if that's what you want, it's going to be here! Maya was our server and she did a great job of taking care of us."

Was it the absolute best hamburger that I have ever eaten; not really but it was good and filling. The fries were good and abundant. The price for my meal was very affordable, I was very pleased with the cost of my meal. Other comments were disparaging about the decor; this is a renovated storefront that was clean and well maintained. While it was not the heavily decorated chain restaurants if you are more concerned about where you eat than what you eat this may not be the place for you. I consider this a hole in the wall restaurant and I like it! Good food and plenty of it what else do you want?"

"I've lived in louisville majority of my life and I have had not heard of this spot until it was suggested to visit in my foodie group. It was a large group of us so it was nice to be able to reserve online without any issues. When I arrived, I was able to find my group quickly. Once I was seated, the waiter came right away to get my drink order. I ordered a cosmo. I looked over the menu ahead of time so I knew exactly what I wanted. Once the group arrived, we placed our order. I do not eat beef or pork, but they do have other options. I ordered a fish sandwich. We also ordered some shareables like the pretzel and beer cheese and the pimento cheese arancini. When the food arrived it was hot and very good. I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. It was family friendly and had a full service bar. I will def be going back."

I also loved how the dining area is mostly separate from the bar side. This keeps down the noise and makes it feel less like a sports bar and grill if you are only interested in going for the food. They do have 5 giant TVs on the dinning side of things as well.I will be back many times, and I cannot wait!"

It's a good value too, their prices don't seem to have increased the way similar fast-casual and sit-down spots have. My new favorite burger spot in the area- give them a try!"

She made a perfect Arnold Palmer for me and then took my order. I put a packet of Bleu cheese dressing on my salad and proceeded to get to work on it. What a hugely filling salad!Unfortunately, my country fried steak came out soon thereafter. I was already running out of room, but I knew I had to soldier on. I wanna tell ya, despite my lack of internal space, I had to hold back and refrain from licking the plate. It was soooo good!Kinnidi B. is a bright and sparkly breath of fresh air. Such a sweetheart, she did a great job of checking up on me. For the sandwich they use top-notch ingredients, and it's a great, tasty combination. The salads are fresh, crisp and refreshing. I have also tasted their beer-battered fries and they are awesome! Other coworkers like the fish and chips, the bison burger and their pizzas.
