"Our biscuits were so good! Husband got the brisket biscuit and I got the fire in the belly. Yummy!"
"We went here for our anniversary and it was AMAZING! Amber was our server and she was kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. The gentleman filling our water glass and bussing our table was also incredibly nice. They had a small table in the corner for us with linens, champagne, and anniversary card from the staff. My husband and I both come from fine dining management and this place seems like a great operation . Overall GREAT experience! Visited 2/13/25"

"I can help yoI absolutely love the Meatless Chickpea Chorizo Quesadilla at this place. It's incredibly delicious - I find myself daydreaming about it for days. This dish never fails to leave me feeling completely satisfied, and it's an excellent choice for anyone looking for a vegetarian option. The staff is always warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere is ideal for enjoying a night out with friends or grabbing a quick, enjoyable lunch."
"We were in town visiting with our pup and were looking for pet friendly restaurants to enjoy. It was down pouring outside when we got there and found out that our pup could dine with us inside. We were so surprised but our pup loved the experience. She sat quietly under the table and just enjoyed the folks saying hi to her and the music and lights. The staff was super friendly, and we got a few different things to try. I got a scrambler where everything was all in one vessel and it was delicious. I've never had a tomato gravy until this experience and it had a kick to it, but I enjoyed it. We will definitely be back when we're in town again!"
"Loved it!! Food was amazing, too much even. Service was nice, ambiance feels nice and cozy! Get the fried pickles. They're TO DIE for. I'm still thinking about it now.And thank you to the server asking if I want my Long Island "Kentucky Style""
"I saw an article about holiday pop up bars and Porch was on the list so we checked it out! It was actually the lobby bar with the holiday selection, not the Porch but it was no biggie! We approached the bar and it was VERY busy but that did not stop the bartenders from being incredibly efficient. I approached the completely full bar and was greeted + my order taken within maybe 20 seconds. All four cocktails were then prepared within a few minutes. We were all very impressed with how quick service was. We all got seasonal cocktails, Gingerbread Old Fashioned, Peppermint Espresso Martini and the Sugar Cookie Martini. Those might not be the exact names but thats the gist of what they were. Now let me say, we were in Louisville for the bourbon trail so we had been doing a lot of drinking throughout the weekend. We had a lot of seasonal cocktails and these (all of them!) were on the top of our list! They were all so wonderful! You know when you get a drink that has an amazing description and then when you taste it, it doesn't taste like the description? Well, this wasn't the case here! Our drinks tasted just like they were described! We loved our drinks so much we considered going back to this bar again later in the night! Take advantage of their seasonal menu while you can!"
"Fun breakfast place. Order at the counter, grab a seat and they bring it out to you. Outdoor patio is dog friendly. Had the quiche and biscuits and gravy. All delicious. Coffee was a little weak and self served."
"Took some out of town guests here for a late breakfast. Cute diner vibe, small and cozy restaurant. Food was very good and what I liked best is the servings were a normal size not the huge, expensive mountains of food most places now serve. I had four pecan waffles and the size was just right, fresh and tasty. Servers were pleasant and the place was clean. Lost a star because the coffee was luke warm, no matter how many times my cup was topped off the coffee was not hot."
"You just have to love the atmosphere. I have been to a number of old pubs in England and this harkens back to those days. The lobby and the restaurant are so darn comforting that I hate to leave. Mariemont, itself, is modeled after an old English village concept by Mary Emery. The Exemplar restaurant sits inside the Mariemont Inn - an old half-timbered and brick building. The food is some of the best in the area. I go often just for their omelettes and variations of eggs Benedict. I eat out almost every day and this warm, inviting, and comfortable place is on the top of my list. The quality is consistent. In addition, the wine list is varied - in a good way. I especially like the Chateau Montelena and the Super Tuscan. I strongly recommend that you give the National Exemplar a try."
"Steak Fries. Add queso. Covered in aguacate and salsa. Been a staple for years. Never disappoints."
"This spot is legendary for a reason. On one side, you have an amazing selection of breads and pastries, and on the other, a cozy café perfect for brunch or lunch, complete with a small but thoughtfully curated alcohol selection featuring cocktails, wine, and beer. Heads-up: the café closes two hours earlier than the bakery, so plan your visit accordingly!Chocolate lovers, don't miss the pain au chocolat. It's buttery, rich, and pairs perfectly with a cappuccino. (I asked for a sprinkle of edible gold sugar glitter on my foam, because I am in the know--and now you are too!) If savory is more your style, go for the Jambon. Available first come, first serve with the other counter items, it's a quick fix. Featuring Broadbent ham on a mini baguette with farm-fresh butter, it's simple and decadent. For a seasonal treat, I tried the orange snowflake cookie. It was nice, but honestly, I'd recommend sticking with the gingerbread tiles. Sweet, spicy, and addictive. If you're in the mood for table service, check in with the host to sit inside or outside. On sunny days, the patio has a relaxed, European cafe vibe. On rainy days, grab a spot at the window counter for a moody cup of joe.The vibe is relaxed, yet buzzing. The staff is cool. The bread? Main character energy. It gets super busy on Fridays and Saturdays, so swing by when you have the leisure of time. You'll leave full, happy, and feeling a little dreamy."
"Having been vegetarian for a couple decades, I had never given this place a try. But when I discovered that BJ's no longer serves baked beignets, I went on a mission to find a place that does. Fish House/Café Beignet has my beloved beignets! I'd love to have strawberry toppings added but the plain ones served here are high quality and delicious. I also tried a few sides, which were exceptionally tasty: potato cakes, bean soup, macaroni and cheese. The service is quick and friendly, and the place has a nice atmosphere and ample dining space. I will return here for the beignets and side dishes."

This is a must visit breakfast/brunch spot in Louisville, KY. The food is delish, and if we had more time here, we would certainly visit again. The service was superb and friendly. You place your order and given a number for your table, then go find your own seat as your food is brought out to you. The ambiance is bright and vibrant. Very comfortable and nice. The parking is free and is validated inside the restaurant. Such a great place with filling comfort food. They offer to go containers you pack yourself, which I liked.

We recently visited Le Moo it was the first time after a long break. When we arrived I alerted the hostess that we had a reservation They offered us a toast of champagne while we waited to be seated. When the table was ready I was surprised to find that even with a reservation we found ourselves sitting in the bar area at a small two top. The waitress came over and asked if we'd like some Louisville tap as if thats somehow a premium offering lol. I guess compared to some places it is. We accepted and ordered. I got the steak Diane and wife got the pork chop which our waitress informed us was top grade pork and it was recommended to have it prepared medium -medium well.I was okay with the risk of Trichinosis just so the chop wasn't dry! The food came out after a short wait, we did the supervised please check temperatures of the meat cuts. I hate it when I'm looking at a steak I know is over cooked (not much, but not perfect) and we all know it. Then it's a matter of waiting another ten minutes while my partner eats to get it right ... so I nodded it was fine... and it was tasty. The "sides" mashed potatoes, asparagus, mushrooms very nice but a bit sparse.. I guess from a cost vs quantity perspective.Steak was to me a bit overcooked the red center the waitress described as medium wasn't exactly the case. The chop was exactly as she suggested medium well-ish definitely pink in the center. Near the end a nice lady who I perceived could be in charge or possibly the owner came over and checked on us. That was cool. Server offered dessert we declined ticket wrapped up promptly. All and all the meal was solid and it's certainly a must try if you've never visited before. I'll try Le Moo again sometime down the road.

I always love a stop here when I'm in town. I remember the original location opening when I was attending school at Marshall Uni 10+ years ago.Service was stellar and the food was great as always. My husband and I each ordered a burrito. I ordered black beans for my side to share with our daughter. Beans were full of flavor. Portion sizes will have you leaving full! We aren't beer drinkers anymore but loved the looks of the beer menu! I always enjoyed sours when I drank so I enjoyed seeing some traditional sours on the menu. Service was friendly & food came out quickly. We stopped in for lunch on a weekday so it wasn't busy while we dined in.

My go to spot for breakfast and brunch. Great vibes. Delicious food. Outstanding fun staff. My usual is the biscuit crumble with poached eggs and tomato gravy but everything I've tried is really really good: biscuit sandwich (with or without sausage), chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, avocado toast, huevos rancheros... and a nice treat is a glass of fresh squeezed OJ. Always a place I look forward to each and every time.

I have to clean today so decided to treat myself first /;Enjoyed a mimosa and the "baby brown", which is a smaller version of their hot brown. I will definitely have plenty left for dinner! The mimosa was fresh, fast service and friendly staff. Always a good experience here!

Porch Kitchen & Bar is a gem in the Marriott hotel. Started with the burnt ends appetizer, which were smoky, tender, and packed with flavor--a great start to the meal. For the entrée, I had the braised short ribs, and they were incredible--fall-apart tender with rich, savory gravy that paired perfectly with the cheesy grits. To top it all off, the bourbon butter cake for dessert was divine--moist, sweet, and with just the right hint of bourbon and pecans. The ambiance is warm and inviting, and the service was spot on. Evan was a great waiter. If you're in Louisville, Porch is definitely worth a visit.

We should have expected the long wait. Sunday morning. Bourbon and Beyond Music festival. A packed restaurant. But the 40 minute wait was worth every second. Our group of 10 was easily served by Brandie. Orders came out together, hot and without any mistakes. That's quite a tribute to both the wait staff and the kitchen. Every dish was done right. The eggs were moist. The bacon crisp. The breakfast potatoes done right. And pricing more than fair. If you're a fan of breakfast joints, Highland Morning will beat the better known stops.

"Breakfast was great. The food was fresh and the prices are fair. Super cute location and great service. Come here!!"
"This was a good brunch spot. The service was quick and the wait time wasn't too bad! The portions weren't huge which I appreciated. I wasn't wowed but overall a good experience."
"The best donuts in town. They are oddly heavy to the touch but fluffy you eat them. My absolute fav!"
"Delicious brunch dishes and excellent service in a quaint location. The cinnamon roll is a must!"
"Great breakfast and brunch spot. I haven't tried them for dinner. We usually get simple breakfast items but it's always solid, the prices are fair, and we have had great service too."
"Amazing birthday meal! We love Merrick. Best steak in Lexington. And we always get the wedge salad. The blue cheese dressing is absolute perfection. Our waiter was prompt and accurate. I love their updated patio area and new inside bar area - it's more casual and modern, but still charming!"
"So had brunch today 8-2-24 with a friend and we had a great time. Food was excellent. I had the Showtime and my friend had biscuits and fruit with some powdered sugar. Great people watching. They were rocking the entire time we were there and we were almost there til close. Friendly counter service. We had barely sat down and I food was out. Go try them if you haven't."
"Food: greatService: greatAmbiance: greatIf they're doing the prix fixe when you go, you can't go wrong.Highlight of my trip to Cincy/Northern KY!"
"Ordered the bacon jalapeño jam bagel and a plain bagel with cinnamon honey butter. The bacon Jalapeño jam bagel was good 8/10, and the plain bagel 7/10. Good bagels , but I found it a bit too chewy. The variety of cream cheese is lacking , I wasn't wowed by it like I was in NYC @liberty bagels 11/10. Maybe I just like variety but for me it definitely wasn't as good as New York bagels by far. I wouldn't be able to tell this bagel from a bagel from krogers . They tasted the same ."
"Hummus. Eat the Hummus!! All of the food is delicious, but the hummus Our server was polite, orders were 100% accurate, and delicious. It's quaint inside and inviting."
"This was an amazing find by pure accident. Food is ohhh my gosh good and adult beverages are sure to impress. Kids, as well as adults will love this place. Ambiance is so welcoming. Service is by far one of my best experiences anywhere. Highly recommend. Pricey, but worth it"
"What is not to like here? A sparkly shiny chromed diner takes you back to the good old days. Once you enter you will be enthusiastically greeted and seated. The interior is very colorful with chrome and mirrors everywhere. Love the seats in pink, aqua and a light yellow. So cool. Their advertised specialty here are whispy thin pancakes. Even so I am not a huge pancake fan, I figured I'll give it a try. I ordered a combo plate which game with 2 eggs, meat of your choice and 2 pancakes. The pancakes come in several flavors and they also have a flavor of the week, which was lemon poppy when I visited. Of course I went for the lemon poppy, a decision that proved to be very delicious. My waiter was attentive without hovering. A great skill in my oppinion and much appreciated. He asked if I wanted to order anything else and then brought the check. The check was presented amidst a basket of tiny rubber duckies. Apparently you get to chose a duck to take home with you. How cute. The tough part is deciding which duck to adopt. I settled on a white dragon ducky just because. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for a fun atmosphere, great food and service and of course the rubber ducky."
"We stopped here for breakfast on our way back home... let me say, the 3.5 stars for the reviews do not do this place justice! I was a little skeptical to try the place, but was so glad we did! The hostess was absolutely a gem. Super friendly, energetic, and personable! There was about a 20 minute wait for a table. We decided to grab coffee from the coffee shop next door while we waited. Espresso was great! Food: We ordered a lot of food, lol. We wanted to try literally everything. The hot cinnamon roll was to die for. 4 of us split one as an "appetizer" - it was rich, so I'm glad we split it! All of our food was fresh, hot, and had good flavor. Their homemade jelly was outstanding, and so was their biscuits! Can't wait to go back the next time we visit Louisville!"
"I have been here twice so far and it does not disappoint! The food is sooooo good! The last time I went I couldn't decide what to get so I got two breakfasts for myself and both were amazing!"
"It's been a faithful friend to me for 30 years. I followed them before and I'll do it again this time. I love their ho burger. It's everything I want in a greasy spoon. Their omelets are also very good. The shakes are wonderful. Give it a try."
"Excellent dining experience! The restaurant was clean and vibrant! Customer service encounter was great. The closing manager brought our order to the table. And although we were there at closing the food was amazing! The Chicken was fried perfectly and seasoned, the biscuit was fluffy, light and buttery! The gravy was delicious, not too salty! I had The Rockwell Supreme, with scramble egg. The Brown Sugar Shaken is a must try, not too sweet! Definitely will be back on our next visit to Lexington."
"We visited the new location on Harrodsburg Road in Lexington Kentucky. The decor it's just as lovely as the other one in Chevy Chase. We were so pleasantly surprised with the brunch at Bella Café. Many of the menu items included a trip to the European breakfast bar. It was packed full of delicate pastries, meats, yogurt, juice and more.I had the Forest Omelette with mushrooms and goat cheese and a truffle butter for my bread. My husband opted for the Kentucky Benedict. We both enjoyed our meal very much and are looking forward to another visit."
"My boyfriend and I went to Midway after seeing it on Yelp. We absolutely fell in love with the place. It felt like the kind of spot where the proprietors have put their truest selves into every aspect. Like a place that the owners themselves would love to eat at and hang out. When you can feel the soul behind a place, it makes it so much more enjoyable. Going to plan to watch some football at this Midway this season. Hoping they'll show my Buckeyes on one of their many TVs. :) Thank you to the staff at Midway for a super good experience."
"OG Tap Room may have closed years ago....but Highlands Tap Room Grill (and the sister bar next door that shares the patio) is still the tops for me.No matter the time of day or night, what I am in the mood for, Tap Room always does it for me. I still consider it my "Cheers" place, where everybody knows my name. Which is only a little hyperbolic...but if an familiar employee isn't working, I am also sure to know several customers. It isn't fancy. But they have table service until about 9/9:30pm each night. The food is interesting and delicious. Solidly good every time. The specials are usually great too. The pulled pork nachos are huge and tasty, the crabby patty sandwich is delightful, the onion rings and the sauce with them are my favorite, the spinach salad is a great choice when you want something less carb-y and fried. And not only that...they have BRUNCH too!Saturdays offer a small, but familial breakfast menu. Sundays are the real deal with a small buffet and pancakes made to order. Mimosas and Bloody Marys...they have you covered. And all of this doesn't even begin to cover the trivia nights, art pop up shows, concerts and karaoke. The staff are wonderful. Sometimes when it gets busy they get a little backed up, but they have their eyes open in case you have to get their attention.I have never had a bad time at Tap Room and I return here regularly. It is my one stop shop. And I love it."
"Wow, what an amazing and unexpected culinary triumph! I had the best shrimp and grits I've ever tasted here - by far! Creamy, spicy, and crisp. Perfect!"
"La Suerte is a hidden gem that consistently delivers on every front. This brunch spot boasts abundant outdoor seating, making it perfect for a relaxed meal in the sun. Their breakfast menu shines with standout options like the vegetarian omelet, biscuits and gravy, cornmeal pancakes, and huevos benedictos--each dish is thoughtfully crafted and packed with flavor. To pair, the Bloody Maria and margaritas are exceptional choices, adding a refreshing twist to any meal.As the day transitions to night, La Suerte's charm remains. Their ceviche, particularly the aguachile ceviche, is a must-try--fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. The service here deserves special mention: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which enhances the overall experience.Despite its many merits, La Suerte somehow avoids the overwhelming crowds that often plague great spots, making it an ideal destination any time of day. Whether you're craving a hearty brunch, a delightful dinner, or a casual drink, La Suerte never disappoints."
"I had a bagel with cream cheese on an everything bagel today from this place. It was my first encounter with it and I really enjoyed it. The service was fine. The ambiance was nice and clean and my bagel was top-notch."
