This place is a true dive! First off the people working here are so friendly and welcoming. You can tell the girls at the grill have fun working together. The food was good, I had the chilli dogs and onion rings. I highly recommend the onion rings. I loved how crunchy they were. Chilli dogs were just what you would expect and good as well. There is a lunch counter here that has a host of characters around it. It was fun to listen to the stories if you are into that, which I am. I love places like this, and I hope they never go away. Can't wait to come back and get the bologna sandwich with bean soup special they have.

This little gem is the perfect spot to grab a quick breakfast or lunch for a really good price. It's a lunch counter kind of place sandwiched between their little convenience market and the pool room. Cheeseburgers and fries, sandwiches, breakfast. All served with a smile from owner, Paul, and his welcoming, friendly staff.

Often on the way to work we'll stop and grab coffee and a breakfast sandwich. It really is a throw back to what the area must have been years ago. I like the fact its out of the way and truly a neighborhood landmark. For 2.50 I get an egg and sausage biscuit with lettuce tomato and onion. Fresh and hot off the grill. You can't ask for much more then that. The coffee on the other hand is ok nothing special. They have great hamburgers and fries too. The onion rings aren't bad either. Everything is reasonably priced. The owner whose always there meets me with a smile and how are you when I walk in.

I would give them a 10 star rating if I could. Been going here 23 years! Good food, pool tables, and thanks to COVID 19, outdoor seating! Love this place, love Paul, and the ladies working there. Even the construction wasn't enough to keep me away! Thank you, Paul and staff for being part of this community

A melting pot of Lexington. The grill is always rocking for breakfast or lunch. The ladies behind the counter keep the banter lively.

It's the definition of hole in the wall. I don't think the interior has changed since the early 80s, but that's what gives C&P it's charm. In the back room (which is like an 80s sports bar museum, Budweiser girl posters and all) is a pool table, not sure why it's there, but I'm glad it is. The employees are very nice, they greet every person that walks in with a smile. There are always trucks parked outside along the street, I think this place is a favorite among truckers looking for a quick, cheap lunch. Don't expect Gordon Ramsey quality food here. The way it works, is that you walk in, tell the cooks what you want, they make it in front of you, hand it to you in a paper bag, and then you go pay at the register. They offer normal breakfast and lunch foods. I've had the biscuits and gravy, and sausage and egg sandwiches. Both were okay, but at less than $5, it met my expectations. You can also buy basic food items here, like cereal, sugar, ramen, Gatorade, etc.. I've seen some Walmart "Great Value" brand stuff here, so not really sure what's going on there. The thing I buy most often is Mary Lou's beer cheese. It's the best beer cheese I've ever had, and don't know many other places that sell it. Get the Super Hot Habanero variety, it's amazing.

We love this little place! I can't say enough good things about it. It is good diner food. Really grill food. Nothing fancy but it's delicious and fresh. We have only been for lunch and want to go back for breakfast. I could have at here every week! They have crinkle fries:) and the onion rings are so so good! It's a family run place and really gives you hat hometown small town feel. I highly recommend it!

Today was my first time checking out C&P. I read a review on Kentucky.com that was pretty strong, so I went out of my way to check out this little place. This is an old school little market that has a diner type grill in the back with seating. I went for lunch today for take out. The review I read said the fries compare to Charlie's Fish Market. They aren't quite that good, but they were close. Great golden crinkle style fries, and they did not skimp on the portion. The staff was insanely friendly, and the food was under $6. I was one of two people there at 11:30. After I got my food, twelve people walked in back to back. I think you want to go early to beat the line. I will definitely go back, and I wouldn't be shocked to see this become a weekly thing for me.

We stopped here on the way on a long road trip and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The ladies cooking up great food and Paul asked us about ourselves and was excited to hear about our road trip. Seriously, this is what it's all about, good food at a good price, and when you walk in they knew every customer by name. Hope they keep going for years!
