I'm not a drinker but they make good cocktails! In addition they also offer various flights. The bar space is pretty straight forward but I was able to view some of the other spaces they use for classes etc and they are both nice and clean.Overall this is a fun spot and good to try a flight!

Hidden Gem in downtown Louisville. Great staff and a nice atmosphere to relax. The smoked old fashion was my favorite next to the popcorn. Signage doesn't stand out, but it is close to 21c.

We stopped in during the First Friday on Main event 7/5/2024. They had a great special going for a 1/2 pour of each of the chat #1 and rye WITH a little serving of their froggy popcorn. I'd go back for any of the three items and probably commit a crime for that popcorn! Great staff and beautiful bar. Also, their cigar rye bourbon beats out Joseph Magnus and Old Elk in my opinion!

Went to Buzzards Roost to try their bourbons. Took the tour and the tried some other drinks at the bar with a charcuterie box. The tour was very informative and the samplings were very nice. The cigar rye is one of the best. The charcuterie was very good. The bar area was really nice. I highly suggest trying Buzzards Roost.

Growing brand with a retail location in downtown Louisville. We stopped by here tired of walking around town and went for a drink. After being exposed to char #3 Bourbon in multiple establishments, I decided to go lighter with only a toast barrel flight. It's pretty amazing, after experiencing multiple brands where you could pick up the variances in the processes. However this was my only toast barrel tasting, so I don't have a comparison. That being said, as the experts have said multiple times, the barrel truly impacts the flavor. The toast compared to a char, gives a much lighter body and caramel flavor profile. I'm partial to the French oak barrel finish and the rye. The French oak gives a lighter body and the rye has that nuttier finish that I appreciate. I appreciate the variety of different flights, I think this is one of the few on our trip with toast barrel, good novelty comparison.

What a super cute and classy bar!!And it was open on Sunday! Bonus! We were walking along downtown, looking for a chill place to eat and have a drink... and we stumbled upon their sign on the sidewalk... intrigued by the name, we opened the door, walked down the hallway and were cheerfully greeted with big smiles! We were advised that they only had drinks, sadly the charcuterie board listed on their menu was not available... but we were here, seated at the bar... so we decided to do one drink and then go!He had a taster of bourbon, I ordered an old fashioned, and we both sat down to enjoy our experiences. On the way out, we got some excellent advice about sampling hard alcohol... first: we should not attempt to "smell it" like we do wine, because it will just burn your nostrils lol! Second: we should drink one swig. Let it burn (not try to taste. It will just burn) and then afterwards the second swig will be more palatable (probably because our taste buds are now burnt lol) he was explaining this to me as I told him I was not able to get a grip on tasting their alcohol, and just order cocktails that are delicious and sweet and more to my liking. Well now we know why! I'll stick to my cocktails but having in this friendly atmosphere makes them all the more enjoyable.Have fu

Very friendly staff. We stopped by early in the day before a tour and they invited us to the national buzzard's day event that evening. We went back and really enjoyed our visit. We had their whiskey flight and really enjoyed it. We also tried their old fashion. Great people running this place.
