Burger House Restaurant

I ordered a cheeseburger and it sure was a flat and thin and measured 1/4 inch thick. It came with pickles, a little onion, a sprinkle of shredded lettuce and some real tomatoes. Had to ask for mustard, forgot to ask for napkin. Wish there was a little more meat in burger.

First time eating here. I've tried a shake once years ago and I wasn't really impressed. The employees didn't seem to be very friendly. Waited a few minutes at the inside order area before anyone took our order. Nobody was in front of us but there were people putting orders in from the outside window area. The fish sandwich and fries were okay. The place has been around for a lot of years and many people love it but I don't think I'll be going back.

Fat Man Reviews took another trip with my buddy Grizz and his boys to the Burger House Restaurant in Lancaster, KY. Burger House serves typical drive-in fare and local favorites. I tried a few items off of the menu. I started with a Chuck Wagon Box, which includes fries and Cole Slaw. The Chuck Wagon came with lettuce, onions and pickles. I added "The Goop"(I'll explain) and some ketchup. The Chuck Wagon was crispy and fried well, but the bun needs to be toasted. The veggies were fresh and crispy. The "Goop" and ketchup added some sweetness and vinegar to cut through the beading on the Chuck Wagon. The fries were out of a bag, under cooked and needed salt. The Cole Slaw was very wet, slightly sweet and crunchy. It was thick and had a little too much mayo.I also tried the Double Bacon Cheeseburger. This came with lettuce, onion, tomato, pickles and "The Goop". The bun was fresh, but needed to be toasted, which is available upon request(found this out too late). The burger had a decent crust, and it was juicy, but they are kinda thin, I recommend a double. It had a good burger to bun ratio. The veggies were fresh, but I wish the tomato was larger. The cheese was melted well on the burgers. The bacon was thin but crispy. The "Goop" is their secret sauce, it added a sweetness to the burger that was welcome to cut through the salty cheese, and did not overwhelm the burger. The "Goop" is a thin white sauce that reminded me of Cole Slaw sauce. I asked what was in it, but I was told that only one person knew the ingredients, it was a secret. Burger House has a pretty large menu that includes chili dogs, corn dogs, Philly cheese steak, crab cakes, several burgers and the Golden Lion. A local dish that is ham and cheese on a toasted roll. The servers were very friendly, they have some outside seating and a small room inside with tables as well. The Fat Man says that Burger House Restaurant is Fat Man Approved with 1 chin.

The way they bake the pizza crust. It's perfect The cheeseburger box is my favorite and you can't leave without getting ice cream.

We found this restaurant while out running errands in Lancaster Kentucky. There were a lot of cars which is always a good sign. We decided to stop and ordered two cheeseburgers and onion rings. The staff was friendly and the ordering was quick and efficient. The order was quick and the prices were great! I would recommend a stop at this restaurant if you are in this area.

Just a good ole greasy burger. Hits the spot every time! Milkshakes and ice cream are also a must try.

Food honestly wasn't the best. Ordered fish as it says on menu, got a fish sandwich which consisted of literally a piece of fried fish and plain bun. Way too pricey for what you get

Great food for cheap from friendly local staff. A must stop if you're in the area. Carries the ambiance of an old 50's drive up diner with the atmosphere of a family gathering with a diverse and varied menu of choices.

Amazing food, good customer service. The workers are very nice. I've not had anything bad here. Highly recommend.
