Often visiting Cincinnati with my kids we like to try places that we do not have at home. Buckhead Mountain was one of them so we gave it a whirl. WAS SO IMPRESSED! Service was impeccable, I ordered the Bison Chili as an appetizer and it was delivered hot and delicious ASAP! Also ordered the Chicken that comes with pineapple and teriyaki but I had them hold the pineapple and put teriyaki on the side.Very good healthy dish as dinner was served with a huge basket of fresh, hot rolls with sweet butter. Kids shared a dinner and even with a tall beer our meal was sixty dollars.I would definitely return, and suggest all you reading to give it a whirl! They have a huge and open bar with several beautiful fireplaces. And if dining on an outdoor patio on the river it is a beautiful place to catch a sunset with the ones you love over a nice fire and a glass of wine! Cheers!

We went to Buckhead Mountain Grill after a work function, and there were six of us that attended. Our server was less than enthused to wait on us. He didn't have a very good attitude. The food and the atmosphere was still good but for the two out of town guests that we had with us, they will never return as it was a bad experience.I have the Manhattan pot roast and took half of it home the next day because the portions are so huge.One of the only places to get the blue cheese, coleslaw, which I absolutely crave.

So food was 50/50. Half the food was messed up. The other half was ok. Don't get a steak there. The concept that a medium rare steak is 135 degrees in the middle has never been taught to the guy running the grill. Sent it back twice. The first time it was medium well. The next time it was medium. I was not going to try it for a third time. The kid's hamburger was cold. The second time out they finally got it correct. I have a theory about restaurant kitchens. First, when food is late coming out; something is always going to be messed up. Second, if your food is late the steak will always the thing messed up. The service was not great, but I felt like that was probably just our guy, because everyone else seemed to get food. Our server would disappear for 30 minutes at a time. I had to go get my own appetizer plates. I had to use somebody else's server to get to get the table bused. This is not a sit down and eat a meal with your family kind of place. Come here to slam beers and eat fried food with 60 of your closest friends. The beer was cold and plenty of selection. I believe this place very liberally uses the word "Grill" in their name. I would almost consider a lawsuit for malpractice after what will be forever known as "Great Steak Disaster of 2024". It should be called " Buckhead's Mountain Frier Place" as the fried food was a solid middle of the road.The worst part of the whole experience; as I am walking out mad, I see some guy eating on a perfectly cooked medium rare steak. I told myself, "He ordered it rare to get it cooked like that."While not the worst place I have ever ate I would still rate it as a 1.5 dumpster fire.

I really like this place. The dining room is open with high ceilings and lots of windows. Great views of the river. They have the best fried green tomatoes crispy and not greasy. Delicious. I ordered a sirloin steak and loaded baked potato. Our waitress was so sweet and I am upset I didn't get her name.

Beautiful location & seating inside or on the deck overlooking the Ohio River. Plenty of televisions for sports fans. Our table enjoyed the freshly made rolls with cinnamon butter & indulged in the cheese boulder appetizers. Cheyanne chicken salad was fresh & delicious. Buckhead pot pie was huge & comforting. The Kentucky hot brown was as advertised. Aldo got the fajitas-large portions! Good choice to have a bite before or after a sporting event.

Finally made it happen! Got to try this place. It was busy on a weekday evening but we got seated right away and our server was very attentive. My friend and I had the cheese boulders which were a really good appetizer. Also the bread with cinnamon butter was great!Jess was our server and she did a great job taking care of us. I had the Denali smashburger, which was okay but it was just very basic and did not stand out with flavor. My friend had the Manhattan roast beef was also just okay. It completely lacked flavor, according to his statement. This might be one of those places where you're just paying for the view. The view outside of the Ohio River is pretty spectacular as well as the city of Cincinnati. But the food is just okay. I'm sure people are kind of just there for the bar and the view and the food is just one of those things where most of the people don't care about as much as we do.
